Dragon and Dungeon Transition Discussion

I am sadden to see the end of a physical Dragon and Dungeon magazine, especially since I only began my subscription to Dragon six months ago. I renewed my subscription based on the steady stream of interesting content coupled with the responsiveness of the Paizo staff I saw in the response to letters and this message board. I do not mind having a number of remaining subscription issues beyond the intended run of Dragon. I am glad Paizo has offered many options, including a full refund, but I think I will spend it on purchasing material from Paizo in support of their growing position in the RPG gaming industry.

This development presents a great opportunity for Paizo. With the infrastructure Paizo built from managing Dragon and Dungeon - the emerging Paizo brand recognition, established distribution systems, experienced editing and layout, responsive customer service, and most importantly contacts with the most talented pool of writers and artists in the gaming industry - I think Paizo will rise to become an influential force in the gaming world. You guys have a good thing going, just remember your strengths and don't mess it up. :D

The hints of the new Paizo campaign setting found on the Transitions FAQ and the Pathfinder Blog sparked my interest. It sounds like Varisia will have plenty of details to make the place come alive. My request is that once enough information comes out for the setting, Paizo will consider producing a campaign setting book similar to what WotC and other companies did with their settings. I look forward to such a product; campaign settings have always fascinated me. Just the previews gave me a rush thinking about the potential.

Thank you and good luck.
