Paizo,
I just wanted to let you guys know that with all the anger flying around here that none of mine (which is alot) is directed at you James, Eric, Cosmo, Mr.Frost, Lisa, etc..
Quite the contrary, you guys have risen to the top. You have answered every question with a straightforward and helpful style that screams of quality. I have loved EVERY PAIZO PRODUCT THAT I HAVE EVER BOUGHT! I will miss Dungeon with as much pain in me as when my dog died 2 years ago, but I know that the master artisans who crafted the magazine are not gone. They live and still produce adventures for my addiction.
I am not altogether happy with the price point of Pathfinder but you have my support and funds until either my funds run out or the quality drops. My love of D&D has been nurtured and cultivated for years now by the staff at Paizo. Thank you. I will be here with my typical honest criticism and hair-triggered comments, and more importantly, my green.
I love you guys(and girls) and will give as much of myself as is possible to support Paizo.
Thank you for making Dungeon Magazine great and for setting a high standard of excellence towards customer satisfaction. Thank you for also being a salve for my broken heart.

That's true. I remember when I first heard Paizo was going to be taking over publication. My first thought was "well, that's the end of that."
Two issues into their run, I just had to get a subscription.
I don't have the money for a pathfinder subscription, but I think I'll be onboard for the first issue or two. I'd say good luck like everyone else, but I really don't think you'll need it. Who needs luck when you have skill?

I just found out about this a few hours ago, and I've been going through all of the posts on this in shock and disbelief. There are many who will understand my comparison when I say that this is like Firefly all over again for me...
I've been a gamer since 1984, and have frankly been amazed at the longevity of our collective hobby. It's survived some serious flak over the decades, and has finally achieved a good measure of acceptance (at least from my own obervations). I never in a million years dreamed that these magazines would be struck down by their own 'kith and kin'. I want D&D to live on until I'm old and grey (just like everybody else here), but not at the cost of eating its own to survive...
...Alright. No more poisoning of a good and right thread - please accept this hurt gamer's apologies for that venting. Paizo's unshakeable standards brought me back to being a subscriber after a many-year absence. You have given all of us memories and stories that can NEVER be taken away from us, and I thank you all for that.
This will be bittersweet, but at least I can say with certainty that Dragon and Dungeon will go out on a high note. The Savage Tide is one of the best campaigns I have ever experienced, and it is fitting that it will be the 'final bow' for both of these gaming resource icons.
Thank you again for everything you have given to us, for listening to us even when it wasn't necessary to, and for loving the game as much as the rest of us do.
I can't wait to see my first issue of Pathfinder - though I think I need to change my status to Charter Subscriber to keep my creds ;P - and I look forward to the future you will help forge for this game.
I can't type worth crap anymore - hands shaking too much. Probably time to sign off and regain some composure methinks... :)

Fake Healer speaks for me too. Thanks for years of adventure! The days when your magazines reached my mailbox were the best of each month. You provided countless hours of reading, playing, dreaming, and you inspired countless hours of creating.
I’m behind Pathfinder 100%. I’ve already called my local gaming stores to plug the book series. I’m nervous that both the price and the DM-focused thrust will make the far-more-numerous player population wary. But I trust that the clerisy knows far more about marketing than I ever will. Given the editors and authors on board, the storylines will rock. Please ensure the artwork and maps excel too! Make it opulent and breathtakingly gorgeous!
Let the new world arise!

Agree with everything said above. Been gaming since 1980, collecting Dragon since about issue 74 and Dungeon since issue #1. I have LOVED what Paizo did with both magazines, and feel that both were the best they have ever been under Paizo.
I don't think I have bought a gaming product without checking it out first since the start of 3rd ed. I got burned one too many times on crap products that sounded cool. I don't even buy WOTC stuff without checking it out first.
That said, I put put in for a subscription for Pathfinder today. I trust the folks at Paizo that much. I know that Pathfinder will be worth the money. I have no doubt.
Edit: heh...ok...NOW the subscription is in...didn't realize that my transition from Dungeon to Pathfinder didn't count as a charter subscription....Now we're good;)

I have been wondering around pounding on the walls, maybe too much, but you guys at Paizo have crazy g00d ski11z.
You can count on my support of Pathfinder, and I love Erik's Planet Stories. Actually, I am fascinated by all your product areas.
Thank you for all the hard work and long hours! :-) You guys rock and are totally cool!
