Chat'n with a friend of mine and he stated that this is the place to get the best results in ascertaining feedback on
Fiendish Oyster Miniatures - already in the works by myself.
If I were to conjure these minis into being - would there be interest from DMs and players alike to use them? Would you buy them unpainted, pre-painted, and how much would you consider paying for say, a pair of different style miniatures of Fiendish Oysters.
Description: one is a standard looking closed Fiendish Oyster with all the wicked sharp ridges and a couple of horned portrusions - the other, is opened displaying a pearl and skull in it's gaping slimy inerds during it's attack. I haven't decided if I'm making yet, a third one with some type of shield or weapon within it as well.
I need some feedback to see if these Fiendish Oysters are remotely worthwhile to attempt or even have a chance to be searched for...has anyone tried?
My friend's enthusiasm was certain it could be a hit, especially if they are not expensive...which I try not to make them expensive. So tell me - would you take the time to paint them? Or would you pay a little extra to want them already painted.
Thanks and Happy Hunting.

i do wonder how 1/2 dragon fiendish giant oysters would look like.. certainly possible as oysters change gender at will. Now just be sensible and don't kill it/them.. they should be able to generate some nice income.
Then its just about finding a dragon buck..
Pearls might look like the breath attack of the parent.. sort of.

I agree with P.H. Although I love the idea of having a mini of the Fiendish Oysters, I would probably do it mechanically myself after getting a pound of littlenecks from the grocery. A little clam linguini and then a little sculpty . . .
On a parenthetical note, one of my ex-coworkers got a case of the Fiendish Clams when he went to Thailand for a 'business' trip. True story.

Thanks for the responses...I wasn't sure if you were serious about using real oysters, but, uuummm....as a DM, I'd probably get hungry and eat them myself... :)
anyway - I'll prepaint them most likely.
From the description, they are about 5' long (1 square) in size, and that's about the size I've made them with small ± tolerance.
Have a look on April 2 on eBay...they will be posted.
thanks again,
