Angry Half-Orc To Follow (1st chapter semi-spoiler, I guess)

Age of Worms Adventure Path

1 person marked this as a favorite.

My group's Half-Giant Psychic Warrior (named Brom) has a built-in rivalry going with Kullen (the albino Half-Orc barbarian). This, of course, precludes any talking resolution during the Whispering Cairn module. Brom and the others decided to bring Skutch's arm with them back to town in a bag labeled "For Kullen, Love Brom" and left it on his usual table at the Feral Dog. The already angry barbarian immediately hunts the party down and picks a fight. The PCs nearly get their butts beat, but they end up winning. In the process, Brom wrestles Kullen to the ground and intentionally deals non-lethal damage, to subdue him without killing him. They truss him up and carry him back to the inn, where Brom puts him in a "slutty dress", complete with garters, and does him up with really bad makeup while the rest of the party goes shopping. The others come back, potion in hand, and they drag the blindfolded and manacled Kullen out to a livestock pen, complete with pig. They drop him in the mud, force the Elixer of Love the party'd bought down his throat, face him towards the pig, take the blindfold off, and run. First stop: The Feral Dog... "Hey! Guys! You've gotta come see this!!"

Later on Brom's player asked me what gender the pig was, so I rolled for it. ... Pig was male.

Ummmm...okay.

It sounds to me like there is some sort of latent tension present in this group.

I'll leave it up to the reader to decide what type.

ok......

Not going for "family friendly" here, are we?

Liberty's Edge

Which one of the two was the elixir for?

Sovereign Court

Awesome! I didn't even know an elixir of love could work on an animal.

To the "Family Friendly" comment: I don't see how not. What's so bad, audience wise, about a guy put under a spell to fall in love with a pig?

To Hagen: The Elixir of Love specifically states the effect applies to the "first creature" the drinker sees. Not the first Humanoid, but the first creature. Believe me, I went and double-checked the rules when they told me what they intended.

Wasn't this Miss Piggy's ploy on numerous Muppet Show episodes to induce jealousy in Kermit the Frog? Now that's "family friendly"!

::rimshot::

Thank you, Animal.

Unlike previous editions of the game, the 3.5E elixir imitates the charm person spell. The total effect... he treats the pig as a "trusted friend and ally." That's how a lot of people would describe their pets. I've even heard of people having pet pigs. Probably a bit of a let down for 150 gp.

I think it's more that they expected him to start ...ahem...'loving' the pig...

"Squeal for me! Squeal like a pig!...Oh, you are...errm"

Like Jeanine Garofola says in the move Cats and Dogs...

"you can love your pet; just dont' LOVE your pet...."

That was the funniest story I have heard in awhile. I can only imagine the negative reaction the charecter suffered from the rest of the townsfolk.
