Along the lines of the Called Shot thread I started earlier, here's another borrowed tradition that would be fun for Item Cards. Posters on the maxminis.com messageboards champion a single miniature that they want to see created (I'm the Champion of the Spell Weaver). When that miniature appears in a future set, they become vindicated champions and have minor bragging rights.
So what ONE item would you most like to see appear in a future Item Card set? For armor, weapons, and wondrous it may be enough to champion a specific item. For potions, rings, scrolls, rods, staves, and wands pick a theme, color, or description.
I'm going to champion the Morningstar. Gotta love a weapon that costs less than a mace, does equivalent damage, and counts as both piercing and bludgeoning damage.
Crystals (dorjes, power stones, cognizance crystals, psicrystals, etc.)
I’ve been reading the boards for a while now, but this is my first post, so I hope you’ll forgive me for being a little long-winded:
When I was about nine years old, my oldest brother made a sword out of a piece of aluminum for the SCA. The hilt was wrapped in cord and had wooden bed knob, painted black, for the pummel. It was the coolest thing I’d ever seen. It was about as tall as I was, but was really light, because of the aluminum. I could hold it with one hand, but had to use both hands to swing it. Years later, as I was making my first AD&D character, I read the description for a bastard sword. My mind went instantly to my brother’s sword. And so, it became a tradition for my characters to wield bastard swords.
And so, (dramatic pause) I will declare for the bastard sword!
I will not REST until I see a VEST!

I Think that I have made it abundantly clear on the Item Suggestion tread that I personally would love to see Long/great/trench Coats. Sort of a niche item I know but I would Love to see a Black long coat with adamantine treads stitched in a flame pattern. Other than that specific Item I need to through in with the want for Shirts and vests.

There's still time for others to pick an item to champion. You can't champion a card that's already been previewed. There's quite a bit of artwork in the advertisements, the box, and the blog that's fair game, though.

I want to see the Robes of the Archmagi. It doesn't matter if they're the good, evil, or neutral ones (though, I would think if they'd release one they'd go ahead and release all of them... or release them all as one card).
