Just to let everyone know, we at Paizo are aware of the binding issues with the disintegrating Campaign Workbooks, and are working on a solution as we speak. We are trying to determine if this is an isolated case of a bad batch of glue, or if the issue is broader in scope, and we're working with our printer to figure out what to do next.
Rest assured that we are aware of your concerns, and as soon as we have a solution we will let you know. Stay tuned to this thread for further updates, and if you have any questions feel free to ask away!
Thanks! - Phil

Does this mean that orders for said product will not be filled due to faulty merchandise or are orders being filled and the people with bad merchandise are to receive a replacement?
I ask be cause I have an order ready to go and don't want to submit it if there is a chance of receiving a bad product.

OH by all means, place your order! Don't let this stop you. Like I said, it may only be an isolated case of a bad batch of glue, or it may well be something more, at this point we don't know. But if you get one, heck if ANYone gets one and we discover they all need replaced, we will replace them all, every single one, at our expense.
Please, don't hesitate to get spendy with it at the webstore :)

Besides, A beat up, well-worn, journal makes a killer handout! Obscure the key pages, screw up some maps, tear it up a bit, cover it with dirt and dust it off and it's even better! Wow, I hope I get a faulty one now *crosses finger as he places his order*.

Paizo Publishing®, LLC to Suspend Shipping of GameMastery Campaign Workbook
Manufacturing Error Resulted in Binding Issue
January 5, 2007 (BELLEVUE, WA) – CONSUMER ALERT: Paizo Publishing®, LLC is aware of the recent complaints regarding the GameMastery™ Campaign Workbook (PZO3000) binding issues. At this time, we've suspended shipping of Campaign Workbooks both into distribution and online at paizo.com and are working with the printer to uncover what went wrong in the manufacturing process.
Paizo takes great care to release only the best products into the marketplace and we deeply regret that one of our products was not of the highest quality. Once we've finished our discussion with the manufacturer and have a timeline in place, we will begin accepting returns of sold copies. Anyone who purchased a copy at their local book or hobby store or at our website will be able to return their copy online via a web tool on paizo.com. Retail stores can continue to work through their distributor to get replacement copies.
We will inform the public the moment we begin accepting returns. As this hinges on a new batch of books being printed, we want everyone to be aware that we anticipate anywhere up to eight weeks before customers start to see replacement copies in their mailboxes. We apologize for this delay and any inconvenience this issue has caused. As a small token of our gratitude for your continued loyalty and patience, we will ship every replacement copy of Campaign Workbook with a free booster pack of GameMastery Item Pack: Hero's Hoard and Item Pack: Relics of War.
Please keep your eyes on the paizo.com messageboards for further updates.

So, do I need to send mine back? I haven't yet used it, I got it in around Xmas-time, so it's still in mint-condition. If so, could you post the pertinent return information?

Three things have to happen before we can announce our returns process:
1. The printer has to get back to us with a printing schedule for the new books.
2. We have to meet and design a schedule to insure the returns come in as smoothly as possible.
3. We have to create a web tool to facilitate the returns process.
Thing 1 has happened. Thing 2 is happening next week. Thing 3 will be happening soon after. I hope to have a return schedule set by mid February at the latest--well before new books hit our warehouse.
Thanks for keeping on top of this! We're eager to get corrected books into the hands of our customers.

Chris:
We will post all the information here on the messageboards once we have a better timetable about when replacement copies will be here in Seattle. I expect that will be sometime in late February. In any case, we will be sure to let everybody know how to get their replacement here on paizo.com. Thanks!
