Liberty's Edge

On the lively discussion thread, Nick Logue said he wished that Richard Pett would immortalize him in npc homage, to which the honourable Richard Pett replied, ">)."

What, may I ask, does this sigil, this wickedly-faced smiley portend? What horrendous fate is in store for our friend in Hawaii this time?
Let the wild and ofttimes ludicrous speculations begin.

It's a smiling anime 'superdeformed' sidekick with a posh mole on its chin.

Actually it looks like an AOL man walking down a wall, defying gravity as he goes.

Actually it looks like pac-man left a dot behind or crapped one.

I am the sword in the darkness! I am the light that brings the dawn! I am the dot that pac-man crapped!!!

All hail the celestial perfection of the dot pooer!

::kneels and jackhammers head into the hardwood floor twenty times::

New theory, the mystery emoticon is a stalactite falling onto the smiley's head so hard that one of his eyes pops out.

or "greater than" "ending parenthesis" "period". If you sub "The End" for "ending parenthesis" then whatever evil plan will be greater than that Burt Reynolds/Dom Deluise vehicle...which sounds pretty awesome!

p.s. 'the dot that pacman crapped' is genius! thank you for the laugh.

Liberty's Edge

Maybe he'll make Nick a ninja.

Grand Lodge

Yay! A teensie-weensie ninja! Like the kid in the baby carriage in Shogun assassin!!

Oh no, hang on, they'll have to wait and see if James is happy with it - what do you think he'll say Nick?

Hmmmm?

Rich is mean. I don't like him anymore.

Now this is confusing.... !?!? Since when do Misters Pett and Logue share the same avatar? Is this some dark conspiracy I missed while I was away??

Maybe is this the central plot of the upcoming adventure "The Storm that Ate Away the Avatar Stealer" (aka tStAatAS)?

It is in fact a dark conspiracy. Logue and Pett are in fact two personalities sharing the same body, each trying to destroy the other. They have set in motion a plot of such fiendish complexity that the human mind would be driven insane if a tiny fraction of it was revealed. Their slavish, demented cultist bring forward their plans, either ignorant or uncaring of the fact that very existence is under threat.

You see, it all involves these giant black pearls, and sailing ships, and dinosaurs and, y'now, stuff... Or am I getting confused with something else?
