Can a monster that attacks with 2 claws and bite only make an attack with one claw as a standard action? Or can it use both claws as a standard action?

The Exchange

It get's a single attack with one claw as a standard action.

Thanks.

In case you are ever unsure of such things in the future just look at the monsters in the MM. And remember, that there are perhaps a handful of monsters created for the D20 system (and I'm not just talking about WotC and Paizo) that can make more than one attack as a standard action (and this is usually as the result of an extraordinary or supernatural ability).

Also, the creature only uses the claw as its standard attack action if its primary attack is a claw. If the primary attack is a bite, it makes a bite attack instead (such as the bulette). You probably already know this, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
