I was going to put this in the TV section, but it's just sooo very D&D. And I never read that section, so I assume no one else does.
Korgoth of Barbaria on Adult Swim is so freaking awesome I don't even want to do Downer anymore. Watch it now! It is Frazetta-tastic. It cuts to everything truly cool, violent, satanic, hilarious, 1970s, and MACHO about ol' D&D.

Yah, that was pretty funny. I think I must have laughed for five minute straight when Korgoth ripped that one guy's skin off by his top knot. Be honest, I watch and read so much heavy, dramatic stuff that's hard to analyze, every once in a while its nice to turn it all off and see something thats just a good ol' mindless romp. And Korgoth definately tickles my sadistic, far-side loving, sense of humor.

I saw it last night it was hillarious. Normally I am turned off by gruesome violence but the way it was done, had me rolling on the floor. Hitting the jukebox with an arm and the pseudo-bisexual wizard dominating people and making them walk off a cliff, make out and light eachother on fire were my favorite parts. Does anyone else view the art style as similar to Venture Bros?? I haven't checked to see if its the same creators but this show reminded me alot of that show but in a good way. Go Korgoth.

Actually I think that the voice actor for Korgoth and Brock are one in the same. Just a guess as I haven’t checked the credits, but it sure sounds like it. No matter who did it, I think that the art direction is great. It works perfectly for what they are trying to accomplish. The tavern in the start of the episode feels so dirty you want to take a shower just looking at it. Also I love the way they did Korgoth’s face. Proportions as follows:1/2 jaw, 2/6 face 1/6 vestigial brain pan. Plus the guy is so feral he puts wild animals to shame, I love it. Korgoth is the epitome of the chaotic evil barbarian, but then again he is so close to being an actual animal maybe he is chaotic neutral :) I just hope that the rest of the series can keep up with the hilarity of the pilot.

AWESOME... I saw Korgoth yesterday.. There was nothing on tv so i just figure I'd watch some crappy cartoon.. my first time seeing thta show..soo funny...I wonder if you guys know when does that show start, and if is everyday.
By the way, really funny when Korgoth and the mercenaries ar in the jungle, right after they' ve save the hot chick..
"Korgoth? Korgoth? Korgoth?
(bushes shaking like crazy, and apparently Korgoth and the hot one were no where to be seen) XD

Alright, since this was a pilot on Adult Swim, the continuation really depends on how the ratings and feedback they get. Really, there was nothing officially anounced, except that the pilot was in development, so this may have been a one-shot deal. However, I see a lot of good things all over the net.
As for the creator, Aaron Springer, who did some writing work involving Spongebob, created the series as a parody of Conan with a bit of Thundarr thrown in. Genndy Tartakovsky, whose works include Samuri Jack and Star Wars: Clone Wars, directed it.
I personally loved it, especially the opening bar brawl. I was laughing most of the time and would enjoy seeing this show on a weekly, if not almost daily, basis.

They are not the same voice actor. Brock Sampson is voiced by the great Patrick Warburton (The Tick, Seinfeld, Emperor's New Groove) while Korgoth was none other than Deidrich Bader (The Drew Carey Show, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Baby Blues, etc.)

Korgoth of Barbaria was only a pilot episode. The Cartoon Network is still considering whether or not to turn that pilot into a regular Adult Swim series. As such, submiting positive feedback to the Cartoon Network may prove critical to the success and continuation of Korgoth –-
