I'd like to solicit the community (and staff, if they're inclined) to recommend some adventures from Dungeon that would make for good one-shot sessions at a convention/gameday. We're talking six players and 4 to 4.5 hours from start to fniish. IIRC, I've got every issue dating back to somewhere in 2002.
Thanks in advance!

"The Statue Gallery" by Johnathan Richards in Issue 93. A Side Trek with some very nice touches and a sultry villain. The Nodwick cartoon is fun too. (Level 9)
"The Menagerie" by Matthew Conklin in Issue 126. A lighter Side Trek, with the objective to capture, instead of kill, the eclectic monsters on the loose. (Level 6)
Whatever you play, have a great session!

You really can't stress the capture portion of "The Menagerie" enough with some players... :)
Anyway I've used "The Excavation" by Michael Kuciak and have often thought about dropping "The Last Hunt" by James Wilber into a campaign. Both can be found in Dungeon #92 and both can be added to quite easily. "Salvage Operation" by Mike Mearls (Dungeon #123) is a fun plug-and-play game. Though I think I will differ to the wisdom of MiKe and mention "The Menagerie" again not just because I wrote it (though I am sure that has some bearing), but because it's a fun and very customizable run.

I am running "home under the range" from 134 as a side trek for my party before they start "three faces of evil" in the Age of Worms. A couple encounters might have to be trimmed, but it's very original and fast-paced with the pc's escorting a herd of giant scarab beetles to some dwarves that are trapped in the underdark. Yee-haw!! The hook fits easily in to any setting because the dwarves need immediate aid, so there isn't time for the pc's to ask too many questions. Low-level adventure
