I'm trying to figure out how to supply the party for the trip from the Free City to Magepoint - no teleport spells in my world. We're playing the AoW in Greyhawk - any ideas on whereabouts MagePoint would be? Same question for Redhand. Thanks.
check out canonfire.com for some maps which will help. they are in the downloads section, under maps ;-)
Magepoint is on the central flannas map, along with the free city and diamond lake. it's on the shores of the nyr div, about sixty miles north and east of diamond lake.
Redhand is, i believe, on the north shore of the nyr div, so you can see it on the same map. Look for the town of Alhaster. however, if you download the "sheild lands/bandit kingdoms map" from the same site, you'll also be able to find the Rift Canyon and Wormcrawl Fissure.
I have no idea where the spire of long shadows is yet, but i'm sure i'll figure it out... =)

I'm with you on this; No real rule against teleport per se, but I'd rather have the group travel to the various sites of the campaign just to give it a more epic feel. It doesn't feel very world-spanning if the next adventure is through that door.
On that same subject, I'm open to ideas for some mid-level sea adventures for the trip Cauldron. Any thoughts?

Personally I’m adverse to the overuse of teleport too—I still have nightmares of the group that ran through RttoEE that teleported to Verbobonc every other night… they considered buying place there and tele(port)communing to “work” every day!
But I digress. I’m planning on having Tenser/Manzorian loan the party his dirigible (from the Arms and Equipment book) and its crew. I’ve always liked the idea of the airship, but have never gotten to utilize one, so I see this as the perfect time. It provides the group with excellent mobility, without reducing the epic voyage to a few words and a flash of light.

An airship--that's a cool idea!
While we're trying to figure out Greyhawk geography, what about the island where Dragotha's phylactery is supposed to be stored, according to the AoW overload?
Also, is there any good source of details about the Bandit Kingdoms, beside the very general info available in the various Greyhawk gazetteers? I want to think a bit about the milieu for Redhand/Alhaster, and it would be helpful to know more than the names of two or three of the bandit states and the general situation.

possible SPOILER info to follow...????
Not sure about island whereabouts (aka the Library of Last Resort - "a long-abandoned island sanctuary of the last druids") but if you read sections 9 and 10 on page eight of the overload, you'll see that the phylactery is located at the Rift Canyon.
and you might try http://www.bandit-kingdoms.net/ -- for current info. :)

If you can find it, Carl Sargent's 2e sourcebook "Iuz the Evil" covers the Bandit Kingdoms quite a bit.
