Just curious, what FR deities did you use to replace the ones in Shackled City AP. Pelor/Lathander is pretty much a given, but when it comes to Wee-Jas, Kelemvor or Jurgal could be used. Even St. Cuthburt has multiple options. But what about Kord, who doesn't seem to have a FR deity counterpart that suits his position (unless you moved the AP to the Northern regions where Uthgard would suffice).

I'm running in GH, but the trend I've seen from others on these boards looks like this: Pelor = Lathander; Wee-Jas = Kelemvor, with the high priests being evil holdovers from the former church Myrkul. Haven't seen much about St. Cuthbert or Kord, but first instinct would be St. Cuthbert = Helm, or perhaps Tyr or Torm if you want to give them a more righteous, crusading aspect (Tyr works really well for some serious law & order style clerics). Kord = Tempus; this changes the flavor and basic nature of this church a good bit, moving away from freedom and competitiveness and more towards war and battle. Another prominent deity in the SCAP is Fharlanghn. I don't know what's recommended as a replacement for him, but my first guess would be Shaundakul. Replacing a TN deity with a CG one is a big change, but the portfolio of Shaundakul is pretty much a perfect fit.

For "Age of Worms", I postulated a new sect, the "Cult of Ascended Lovers." They worship both Mystra and Kelemvor, extrapolating a divine union from their mortal romance. This gives you magic and death, and works well as a replacement for Wee Jas. Of course, this makes them somewhat heretical, but I think that's OK, particularly if you place Cauldron in an isolated locale.

I went a somewhat different direction and in direct response to the Kord issue. So I looked at the roles the churches played in the campaign and went from there.
St. Cuthbert - I saw their main role as defenders of the town. To this end I felt Helm was the best choice.
Kord - Their big roll as I see it is in the games of the flood festival. They are popular, young and athletic. To me this is the best place to insert Lathander.
Wee Jas - Bad guys that are accepted in town. People wouldn't necessarily think they are evil. For me this is an easy replacement with Kelemvor. The evil is left over portions of the church of former god of death in here.
Pelor - This church then plays a much more minor role in the campaign. It is important that it be small. It is important that they feel paranoid that the church of Kelemvor is built so high as to block the sky. So after some thought, I decided that I would replace Pelor with Selune.
I guess I just feel that the church of Pelor plays such a minor roll, it is actually easier to replace Kord with Lathander and Pelor with Selune.

That's what I thought ... I wanted the Cathedral to Kelemvor to be creepy and foreboding, but not outright evil. I've decided that Embril and Ike are actually clerics of Jergal in pursuit of darker things (and are willing to meddle with undead and such).
The best part was halfway through Zenith Trajectory, one of the players came to the startling conclusion ... "hey, Kelemvor's been a god for 15-20 years - how old did you say that Cathedral was?". Now they think the evil of Myrkul or Bhaal or Cyric is playing behind the scenes ... ;>

I placed Cauldron in Tashalar. I divided Wee Jas temple in two. The magic part became Savras the Overseer, one of Mystra's servant. The fact that Tashalans are fond of divinations justifies this (see Serpent Kingdoms and Races of Faerun). The Death part was allowed to Kelemvor's temple, a creepy ex-temple of Myrkul, then Cyric. Both temples have nothing to do with the Cagewrights. The bad guys belong to the temple of Oghma. Knowledge is power and power corrupts. Oghma's priests quest for knowledge corrupted them absolutely and led them into forming the Cagewrights.
I used Tempus as a replacement for Kord. St Cuthbert became Helm, Pelor = Lathander. For the Ebon Triad I used Bane, Velsharoon and Shar. One of my player embodies a Selune priestess, so I wanted to include some fights with Sharean cultists.
Hope this helps.

i am considering forming the story so that Admiarchus is the de-immortalized remainder of Myrkul's final essences, who is a prisoner of Cyric on Carceri, which is a prison demiplane inside the plane of Cyric. Cyric keeps the remainder of Myrkul coz he wants the Death domain from Kelemvor and keeps any ties to it (such as the remaining form of the old death god) that might help him later. The Kelemvorite leading priests (Embril as their leader, Ike and later Calmus) have all turned to the old faith of Myrkul and wish him released and also the most havoc wracked (deaths caused) with the opening of the portal to Carceri.
Its yet hard for me to place the Cagewrights into this storyline, but they might just be powerhungry individuals who band up to achieve a goal together. I also have to add that i am still not fully familiar with the second half of the book and that's where this story might get a bit complicated, though so far it seems so that this will do.
Any suggestions would be greately appritiated! Thanks!

I went with Lathandar as the main temple of the Cauldron, with the other temple being to Tempus. So the people appreciate the good of Lathandar while the soldiers, mercs, and watch prefer the battle halls.
The other minor temples I included were a newer temple to Azuth, where sages and nobles seem to begin to flock. A minor temple that the newest to Khelemvor, with just one lone priest who runs the small place.
And the Riders, are the Riders of Shaundakal, the Traveler. Do gooders in the vein of the Harpers.
