Just an idea I'm kicking around. Needs history fleshed out, would use chart 4.
The idea is for the rituals to be fulfillable within the context of the AoW also.
The goggles of minute seeing are found in Nadroc's tool rack in the Whispering Cairn.

I, too, intend to make Nadroc's lenses a Legacy Item. My motivation is that I am running in a very magic-poor setting (Iron Kingdoms) in which all modern magic items are constructed with the help of Mechanikal elements that make item construction cheaper and easier, but require recharging, etc. Any really ancient items, however, like the goggles and Zosiel's Circlet, are true, pure magic items. Given their age and the difficulty of producing such items, I feel they would probably be legacy items. I haven't yet written either item up (the nice thing about legacy items is that you don't have to worry too much about them until the PCs are 5th level), but I have decided that the Omen for the Goggles allows the wearer to read the various glyphs in the Whispering Cairn (though not understand their significance).
Let us know if you come up with more re: the Goggles.

Was any more added to this kernel of an idea? While the party rogue was using the goggles I had some "unconventional" things happen when viewing magic items for the first time. I had the vague recollection of this thread. What I see is a nice start, just wondering if anyone else has done the work for me of fully developing the goggles. ::guilty grin::

im planning on using the legacy scythe form WoL as it fits quite nicely in that it wielded by Nerull worshippers and the groups Dread necromancer took scythe as his martial weapon prof( like i knew he would). id like to give the other player something special too but i think 2 legacy items i the sme campaign may be overkill.

I think 2 legacy items in the same campaign may be overkill.
I disagree. Consider the number of true artifacts that emerge during the course of the Age of Worms campaign. A few legacy items wouldn't hurt, and would perk player interest. I've found that players are always interested in finding out all about any Mysterious Cool Thing you give them. I might go so far as to find one or two magic items already in each adventure and 'legacify' them (is that a word?).

I'd added a masterwork byeshk shortsword--special substance in Eberron useful in fighting certain aberrations--to the corridor of the face in the Whispering Cairn that I was going to flesh out as a possible legacy weapon. The concept of the goggles (found during our second session) as a legacy item is more compelling, though. Maybe I'll give a shot at crafting both of them that way. If I do, I'll post back here for thoughts.
