I was just reading through the AoW Overload today and I saw that a couple of the adventures, including the finale, do not have assigned authors. I was just wondering if you assigned any authors since the Overload was released.
Nicholas Logue will be writing part 9. He's hard at work writing it right now.
We've decided on who we'd like to write part 12, but have not yet approached him with the offer. So we can't anounce this one yet.

I was hoping for George R Martin but I suspect there would be problems with him making Dungeon's tight deadlines..

EGG would be a extraordinary. Sadly, I don't know that he has anything to do with D&D now, and I don't know if I would in his shoes.
BTW I think the Darlene contribution was great.

Oh yeah, knew I had something to do this week. ;-)
Back into the writing fray!!! Yah!
If you haven't noticed any of Nic's great adventures I suggest you go back and re-read them, they are very, very good.

I'll echo that. Don't let lack of subscriber tagline fool you... some of us pick up the magazine at our FLGS, or have a spouse with a subscription!

I subscribed last year, but mags take their sweet ole time finding this little island of Oahu, so I just pick em up at my FLGS now. Gives me an excuse to spend waaay too much money once a month, as browsing becomes buying right quick for me. ;-)
Thanks for the kind words Rich! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to be nestled right between you and Greg on the path. I am in some of the finest company in Dungeon's pages. :-)

A writer I never heard of that doesn't subscribe?
If you haven't heard of Nicholas Logue yet, keep an eye on the magazine. He's got a lot of really cool adventrues in the works, and has already had some published by us over the last year.
Anyway, to address how we choose writers for Adventure Path installments a bit. The most important thing is that a prospective writer needs to prove to us that he can deliver an excellent adventure on time. When we were choosing authors, we knew we wanted to have 2-3 of the adventures written in-house (so to speak) since we can use those opportunities to really guide the adventure's themes and plots. We also knew we wanted some of the adventures to be written by established names like Sean Reynolds, Wolf Baur, Mike Mearls and Jesse Decker. At the same time, though, we also wanted several of the adventures to be written by newer authors, since they're the new blood and often bring some really interesting angles to the campaign that we never even considered. At the same point, we didn't want to assign an adventure to a writer who hadn't already delivered at least two really great adventures to us. Tito Leati, Richard Pett, Nicholas Logue, and Greg Vaughan certainly fall into this category, and I think everyone's really going to enjoy what they're bringing to the Age of Worms.
And we're still not ready to anounce who's writing the last adventure, since we haven't talked to this person yet. I can say that it won't be Erik Mona since he's way too busy doing everything else to keep both magazines going. Nor will it be "Zagyg" or "Robilar," as cool as that would be—they're both busy with other projects.

This was your time to pimp what you have done.
Peace and smiles :)
