New to this forum, long time DM. calling all PDF experts: what is the play-by-play for enlarging the stunningly rendered maps from the resource section to 1 in² scale? I have Adobe reader and Photo Impact Pro (i'm sure i need another adobe product before i can proceed... just dunno which one.) Peace to you all- unless you still play 'gamma world':)

If i were to do such a thing i would import the pdf into illustrator or photoshop(if photoshop make sure resolution is set to 72 if you place the pdf). in either program make a square that is exactly 1x1in then scale the placed pdf till it matches. or what may prove easier is to bring up your rulers Via the "view" pull down menu. and scale the pdf till you get the grid to measure a square inch. those are the programs i use as a designer. not sure what other imaging programs to use but if their out their the technique would still apply. Kinkos can help(they have both apps.) plus you can print on nice big paper so you won't have to tile as much.any one you know run those Apps? hope it helps

I hope Paizo will start posting the online maps with a better resolution, at least 150 DPI. The low res PDFs just don't look nice enough when I put them on the projector...
All the web supplements from issue 114 on have both high and low resolution versions for download. The hi-res versions have all the images imbedded at 300 dpi.
Go to: http://paizo.com/dungeon/resources/downloads
Hope this helps.

Ok, I'm a Photoshop noob (like within the last couple of days) and I have a stupid question:
I have the scaling thing figured out, but how do I get it to print more than one page of the map?
For example, I have the map of the Land Farm and I have it scaled to 1 inch squares, which makes the image way bigger than 8.5x11, but I can't find a way to get it to print the entire map on multiple sheets of paper. All I get is one page of a partial map.
I'm sure it's probably something easy...

Once you've scaled the map, choose Image>Canvas Size and set the size to 8.5x11 inches (or your preferred print size). PS will claim it is cropping the image (not true) click proceed. Once the image have been "cropped" choose the Move Tool (black arrow) and drag your image until you see what you want to print. Print the page and repeat the procedure for the next image portion you want print.
Be aware that the entire image must be on a layer in order to work, to put the image on a layer simply, from the layer palette, drag it on the paper sheet icon; then delete the layer called "background".
hope this will help
