And here is my Bloodrager. It is a simple brute that uses spells to enhance his ability to dish out alot of damage. Bloodrager:

Tactics: The statistics assume the following things. You have cast a Beneficial Heroism.
Remember that you can cast up to a level 2 spell upon yourself when you enter a bloodrage. And that you have one charge on your lesser quicken rod once the fight begin. And that your spell Force Hook Charge has the potential to give you a full attack.
So I am playing a Shaman with the Lore Spirit and have gained an animal companion that I then Polymorph and cast the Emblem of Greed spell on. And now I want to see how many extra bonuses can be found to boost this amazing spell. Please do dig deep and greedily into the various Paizo sourcebooks. So my question is what easy CL boosters are out there? Right now I have Spell Specialization giving me a +2. What else could I be doing to boost it?
So my Succor Oracle has just hit level 7. And I've picked up Teamwork Mastery in preparation for when I reach level 9 and can take Harrying Partner's.
Now what I would like to get some advice on is what teamwork feat should I pick up now? I've thought about Outflank or similar. I do after all have Coordinated effort as a bonus spell from the Succor Mystery so I would be able to share the feat with all my allies. Anyone have any good ideas?
First relevant text.
Inappropriately Sized Weapons: A creature can’t make optimum use of a weapon that isn’t properly sized for it. A cumulative –2 penalty applies on attack rolls for each size category of difference between the size of its intended wielder and the size of its actual wielder. If the creature isn’t proficient with the weapon, a –4 nonproficiency penalty also applies. Okay so the spell says that it helps with actions or feats that causes penalties to your melee attacks. While the Inappropriate Sized Weapon does indeed give a penalty to your melee attack it is not an action nor a feat. As such I do not believe that the spirit will aid you if you are using such a weapon. Nor do I believe that it would help with the to hit penalty that you are given by using a broken weapon.
I would second Louise Bishop's advice regarding Battering Blast. Also consider getting Wayang Spellhunter and Magical Lineage for Glitterdust. And then get Persistent spell at level 3.
If you wish to get summoning as one of your "things" then take Acadamae Graduate and find a way to be immune to the Fatigued condition.
I've yet to have any issues with my one dual-cursed oracle with regards to misfortune. Not the way I RP him on the other hand... As other have said it is all about the way you interact and talk with the GM about the ability. And make sure that it is not slowing things down. (I play him as a slightly pacifistic pothead of a kitsune)
Unchained Monk (Monk of the Mantis) with Accomplished Sneak Attack.
Be small and have a Dex and Wis bonus. Get a Amulet of Mighty Fists with Agile. With a Ring of Ki Mastery you will be fantastic as a stealthy character. You can dd in make a full attack and be out again. While flanking and sneaking with all of your attacks. But no matter what class you go with be sure to have the feat:
I need to build a character to pass the Test of Stars and kill a certain false god (level 19 Wizard)
I need to build a character to pass the Test of Stars and kill a certain false god (level 19 Wizard)
I need to build a character to pass the Test of Stars and kill a certain false god (level 19 Wizard)
I need to build a character to pass the Test of Stars and kill a certain false god (level 19 Wizard)
Build another Wizard. Use Mind Blank + Greater Invisibility plus the feat Dampen Prescence. School wise I would suggest Conjuration or Divination. Also make sure you buff your initiative to rediculous heights as fighting a level 19 Wizard will be all about winning initiative. Other things to consider: Aroden's Spellbane(Greater Dispel Magic), Contingency, Greater Planar Binding w. a Familiar(Emissary) using Touch of Glory (fittingly one of Iomidaes domains). Also you could go Arcane trickster using the Accomplished Sneak Attacker to only having to dip into rogue or another sneak attacking class (have to give sneak at level 1 though).
From Divine Anthology The spell Visualization of the Mind. Level 2 Cleric/Shaman/Wizard.
I would suggest taking a look at the Unchained monk. Here is a PFS Grippli monk I have. Lots of damage and really good defences. Personally I have gone into Monk of the Mantis for an assassin feel to my monk.
Vidmaster7 wrote: If I was any good at links I would post ol varsivius (order of the stick) fight with the black dragon. And that fight would have been quite different if Vaarsuvius had access to Aroden's Spellbane and could exclude Antimagic Field around her. Oh and here is a link to the Fight
Consider looking at Aroden's Spellbane for extra defense. I have used with level 17+ wizards multiple times with great effect. Spells to exclude could be: Invisibility Purge, Dispel Magic, Greater Dispel Magic, Waves of Exhaustion, Maze. Note. If picking dispel magic and/or other popular spells he will not be able to cast them either.

Alternate FCB's are not from the CRB. So the OP will not be able to make use of that (unfortunately).

How is an Unchained Monk a Vanilla Monk? Vanilla must surely mean a monk straight out of the CRB with no archetypes or the alike. Though if we are talking about Unchained monk vs. Tetori and you want easy to use then absolutely use the unchained version.
nicholas storm wrote: One build I was looking at was Paladin 4 (Oath of Vengeance)/Monk 1 (Scaled Fist)/Sentinel 10 with god Shelyn. Take crusader's flurry with glaive. Shelyn deific boon adds charisma to hit and damage on smites Unfortunately you loose the Channel Energy class feature with the Oath of Vengeance class feature so you do not qualify for Crusader's Flurry.
Core only RA, eh. Well personally when I go for hard mode I go all in and make an all out Harsk table. But sure for easy mode here is some advice. Assuming it uses traits be sure to have Perception as a class skill and then mx it. Either get a way to disable traps or a way to trigger them or a way to circumvent them (this can be dangerous when you have to flee from an encounter that has gone south). Whatever you pick make sure you can do several roles when someone goes down so that you always have someone who can deal with healing/traps, ect. Bard. With a Monk and a Fighter buffing them might be really good. As some have noted there is a bit of possibilities of social encounters down there. And you can do skill money like no other i Core through 6+Int skills and Versatile performance.
Cleric. Same as the Bard you can be quite the buffer. This just gives you more options of taking on the role of Healer. Though quite often casting spells that makes your guys kill people faster or stuff that prevent damage will be more effective.
Wiz. Crowd control. Buffing. And a few blast spells for the odd swarm. Given that you start at level 5 you are over the painful low levels where you have very few spells per day. But even then you still have to make sure you ration them. So make use of your scribe scroll feat and have a small scroll library with you for every occasion.
Huge - Corpse Lotus (4 attacks with Grab plus Constrict)
If you buy an Anaconda's Coils then the medium sized Mi-Go becomes quite cool. Medium - Mi-Go (4 attacks with Grab, fly, DR/Slash, Resistance to cold, electricity, and fire) Note that all of these are plants. I had some notes on a plant based wild shape user lying around but there might be some good ones for animals as well. I expect some of the aquatic forms work well for this.
This link will take you to the general pfs discussion forum. And at the top you can see the Pathfinder forums and can get to any of them with two clicks. That's the best way I've found so far.

Because with 19 you have four extra points you can put into your other stats. And that 19 will quickly become 20 at level 4. I generally never go 18(20) in a stat at the start. But each to their own. I just think the 4 points for increasing it by 1 point is too much.
A few tips. I would suggest reducing your Int to 19. 20 is rarely worth it at level 1 in my opinion. And then use the points on increasing either Dex/Con or Wis. As it appears that crafting is something you use in your games I suggest getting Craft Wondrous item at some point. And if you like the various cloud spells then consider either the Goz mask or the Fog cutting lenses (I personally prefer the mask). Also depending on your group such a tactic could allow any ranged character to shoot at enemies in such a cloud while they are flat-footed. (Another creative uses of this would be to go Arcane trickster using the Accomplished sneak attacker feat and a single rogue or another sneak attacking class level.)
An item you should link to: Padma Blossom A binding focused Mythos Cultist should consider going Darkfire Adept. Especially with the new prestige class feats that makes you not lose casting progression or CL.
Using all of your resources to increase your characters defences will simply mean that the enemy ignores you and slaughter the rest of the team first. So whatever you do make sure your offense is also up to snuff. And being unhittable is in general not very fun for everyone involved. My suggestion would be to allow CR appropriate enemies to hit about 20% of the time and make sure your offence can kill them within two rounds.
Are you building her to be level 20? Oh and I would suggest to give her Spell Perfection on a spell of your choice. And give her a lesser quicken rod for those quickened Ill Omen. And make sure to optimize her initiative as at that level her losing init will most likely be the end of the combat. While her winning will just allow you to debuff and use crowd control. Oh and here is a few tricks she might use: Use a Goz mask/ Freedom of movement and a Solid fog. Get Mind blank and use invisibility spells.
How about an Unchained Rogue/ Unchained Barbarian Android? Using two-weapon fighting and high crit chance weapons such as Kukris. Say Rogue 3/ Barbarian 10 sounds pretty effective with dex to hit/damage with both weapons. And if you can get two +1 adamantine furious kukris. Maybe using the Savage Technologist if you can get your GM to make some changes to it to make it compatible with the Unchained Barbarian. Here is a build I made when it looked like we would be playing Iron Gods. Android Rogue Barb. sheet
My level 7 PFS monk has a pretty impressive AC that is achieved by going Dex to hit/damage. Grippli. So Small and bonus to dex/wis.
I am at 30 AC while buffed. 10 base, 5 Dex, 5 Wis, 1 Monk, 3 Barkskin, 1 Deflection, 4 Armor(mage armor), 1 size = 30 AC, 23 Touch, 25 Flatfooted. Unbuffed is 7 lower standard and flat-footed.

It does. http://www.archivesofnethys.com/SpellDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Mind%20Blank,%20 Communal Unfortunately my party was a bit too effective so we were hold back a level throughout the most of the adventure path. So we never got access to level 9 spells.
I wonder how well the Arrowsong Minstrel stacks up to these archer builds? It got the usual Bard buffing goodness that it can give out to others while it's archery should be decent as well since it can use it's Spellstrike on the first round while starting Inspire Courage and then full attacking after that. Though I think it's DPS will be quite a bit lower than the others it can as any bard do lots of other things than simple combat. |
