Inappropriately Sized Weapons: A creature can’t make optimum use of a weapon that isn’t properly sized for it. A cumulative –2 penalty applies on attack rolls for each size category of difference between the size of its intended wielder and the size of its actual wielder. If the creature isn’t proficient with the weapon, a –4 nonproficiency penalty also applies. Okay so the spell says that it helps with actions or feats that causes penalties to your melee attacks. While the Inappropriate Sized Weapon does indeed give a penalty to your melee attack it is not an action nor a feat. As such I do not believe that the spirit will aid you if you are using such a weapon. Nor do I believe that it would help with the to hit penalty that you are given by using a broken weapon.
An item you should link to: Padma Blossom A binding focused Mythos Cultist should consider going Darkfire Adept. Especially with the new prestige class feats that makes you not lose casting progression or CL.
Regarding Shield Brace and PFS. From Additional Resources + Armor Master's Handbook:
Another thing you could consider with such a build. Take the Acadamae Graduate feat. Buy yourself a Cord of Stubborn Resolve. And own a wand of Infernal healing. When you summon creatures using the Summon Monster line you can now do so with a standard action. This will every now and then make you fatigued. But with the belt that fatigue will just turn into 1d6 nonlethal damage because of the belt. Voila! Standard action summons that works with all the various creatures and not just one or two.

No worries. But for your original question here is what I think is the most you can achieve in terms of raw number of hd on the Greater Planar Binding spell. 26 = 18 base, +2 Caller's Feather, +2 Blackfire Adept, +4 (Augment Calling doubled with Spell Perfection)
From Monster Summoner's Handbook. Augment Calling. Feat. +2 hd with one type of outsider such as demon, devil ect. Caller's Feather. Item. +2 hd when calling an outsider. +2 insight bonus on charisma checks to influence the creature called. Crumbles when used. From Advanced Player's Guide Spell perfection. Feat. This will double the bonus from Augment Calling.
Personally if I were to create a MT I would go Wizard (Spirit whisperer) 5/ 1 Cleric/ MT. The Spirit Whisperer allows you to pick a Shaman spirit and at level 5 you get one of the spirits hexes. So then choose the Lore spirit and the Arcane Enlightenment Hex. That gives you divine spells allowing you to qualify for MT. This means you only lose one level of Wizard progression. The Only downside is that the Spirit whisperer is fairly lackluster otherwise. But for the extra spells gained through the Cleric/MT I consider this to be worth it.
I think I've found the perfect creature for my needs. Just sharing if anyone is looking for the same type of creature using Planar Binding. Akhana
These are my thoughts on this. If the new tricks are to be assumed to be Core assumption, then either:
Anything else will just make things confusing and/or turn people away since you now more or less need to have Animal Archive if someone has a companion. the Diviner |
