I have had my characters make constructs before. Usually however by the time you can make them, they are more for the awesome factor than actually useful in game.
My favorite was a wizard that crafted iron cobras and stone golems form awesome statues he found throughout the campaigns later stages.

Zarta's delectable flesh puppet reporting for duty!! ;)

Silver Crusade

awwww yeah the one that started it all, Burnt offerings!!
Still my favorite pack of iconics in it too.
Goblins check. A certain buttkicking elven ranger check. the list goes on. :D

Silver Crusade

Gahee, or anyone else looking for to game. I am back on wow, checking out the guild routinely. let me know if you want to rock some wow again. :)

Silver Crusade

cat mummies!!!!

Silver Crusade

magic fang before you shift, cheap so if you cant get back after dropping as a free action not a horrible loss.

bristle is ok, it lets you turn your nat armor bonus into enhancement damage

for other things than damage:

bless and clw as stated.

protection from evil can be pretty nice to have.

endure elements can sit in a bag for awhile but when needed can really help a party.

I am away from my tomes of magical paizo goodness for the moment, but I think there is a archetype of sorcerer called the tattooed sorcerer that gives you a familiar and a lot of ink. This might be another way that lets you keep celestial sorcerer, get a familiar, and maintain full spellcaster progression.
Basically if I recall you give up your first bloodline ability and get a familiar. There are other things too, I don't remember those though.
That would allow you to get the angel kitty with only a feat (improved familiar) and alignment matching the required one.

Conjoys method works too, but it requires eldritch heritage, which itself requires Skill Focus Knowledge, followed by improved familiar.
Which works well too of course.

pretty sure both the lantern lodge and shadow lodge scenarios are not playable anymore for PFS officially. I thought when they released at paziocon they had to be played by gencon and the new release of the players guide finalized the changeover and removal of the factions.

As much as I don't care for torch, I did not really get a suckers vibe for shadow lodge. I got more of a torch decided to up the stakes on the decimiverate. That still didn't stop my PC from trying to kill him as he betrayed the society and ran.

Besmara the Pirate Queen. Hands down for me. Buttkicking goddess that raids the hells, heavens, and everything in between. She has a supernatural planeshifting pirate ship and for me at least makes for interesting clerics and divine classes.

Desna, Cayden, Sheyln, and Gozreh are all really close after that for me. And Ragathiel too.

Guys the event is three weeks away and you already have the product. This could have been handled A LOT better than that. I have volunteered an significant amount of hours volunteering with red cross, scouts, and multiple other groups and entities. This smells very much like using the children this is supposed to help in a weaponized manner against people who quite possibly do not even know this going on.
And if you believe that an entire organization that has routinely supported both the gaming community and the charities(quite a few actually) is to be written off and tarred and feathered for a screw up, then don't LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT.

Yeah, I was taken aback to, at first. But the thing is, the Flute *does* stack with Lem's own power, so you can essentially add 2d4 to a check.

Awesome, thanks!!!!! it makes a bit more sense now :)

BTW, the minis are awesome and so are the cards. neat idea.

Rock on!! Thanks Linda!! Im loving the psychopomp, they are an awesome little creature.

Silver Crusade 1/5

Im pretty sure the craft skill is not itself restricted as much as actually crafting things not given exceptions.
That said due to the restrictions on crafting, most people dont have it unless it is a requirement for class, feat, etc or they are using it for the extra gold roll at the end of scenario.
The boss is not listed on the restrictions and is on the pages allowed.
You do as far as I know need to pass the check to put it on the shield though. Not a hard check, maybe even another party member can do it.

My current favorite is my Halfling "commando" that infiltrates goblin tribes and incites them to attack Cheliaxian interests.
A very merry time indeed is had with this little warmongering halfpint.
Disguised as a goblin he trains them on wolf-riding and general mayhem targeted towards commando raiding cheliaxian targets.
Wowing them with fireworks and booze (craft) combined with songs (perform) and awesome pets (handle animal), the little andoran spec forces Halfling is probably the most fun I have ever had playing a character. XD

Wow, definitely shows how things can be different for everyone. All my warhammer fantasy and battletech friends have been cool, clean, and fun to be with. Of course warhammer fantasy is now history unfortunately. XD

Sorry to say I am probably the reason for three peoples worst in- game experience. It was pre-pathfinder in the days of living greyhawk in a game store down in lacey, washington.
I had not been able to play very often as the army had different plans for my time and location, but I was finally was able to go. Played my favorite class the ranger for a quick scenario and used the proceeds to buy potions. In the afternoon game I joined a second table with four players, three of which were a group of friends together and a fourth was the keep to himself kind of guy.

1. This dude splits the party and then starts an encounter with just me and him in room. His paladin leaves me to solo the encounter. I get merced of course.
2. Guys Paladin comes back to room after the rest of the party has arrived and defeated the encounter. The other three players are looting the enemy and not paying attention. This is important.
3. Guy asks if my dead character has anything good on him, specifically potions. Now a game is game and I dont let it get to me usually but this dude irritated me to an extent that I let it bother me.
4. The stores owner is a very nice lady and has rules about what you can say in this store, mainly like abstain from anything you would not want a kid to hear, etc. She is nice and usually I respect the environment she sets at the store.
5. So instead of telling him to shove the potions up his a##, I say "yeah dude there is three but they are suppositories." He asks what that means, I say they can tell you and walk off to get a bite to eat. I don't think anything of it and presume he knows I am just being salty.
6. I come back later to the gaming area to see that the game is still going on but all the nearby tables have stopped playing their game and are intently observing this one and laughing hysterically. The GM was in tears holding laughter and the three friends are very much not amused.
7. The fourth guy had triggered multiple encounters and in a panic had began "rendering" the healing potions to the three players. Apparently he had asked what suppositories were and they told him and thought nothing of it. well...........
8.they were not happy to see me after the paladin had pulled their characters pants down mid fight and assisted in keeping them up. It did not get better when I said I did not really mean for him to believe it.
9. I bought dinner for those three dudes later that night.

Silver Crusade

anytime haha.

Most of the time for non-organized play I allow my players to choose pretty much any feat the familiar meets the pre-reqs for. I have yet to regret it. :)

Silver Crusade

Starglim has the right of it I think. The feats that can be taken by familiars are oddly in animal archive and not familiar folio.
It does say in the start of the familiar folio that you can swap out feats for your familiar that it qualifies for such as those in the animal archive.

edit: i read it as familiars being able to use extra body slot feat if they don't have a humanoid shape. if they do have humanoid shape they don't need it in the first place.

Silver Crusade

Guys,
you got it all wrong. It is clearly going to be an all dwarf AP where you hunt dinosaurs and eventually desna herself. O.O its so clear to me now.... WHO SPILLED THE COCAINE!!!! WHO DID IT!!!! Poe was originally meant to be killed in the crash on Jakku, but the filmmakers thankfully changed their minds. Hopefully he'll be given more to do in the next movies.

[Edited to add link]

That explains a lot about his role in the movie.

I hope BB-8 is not stuck in an x-wing for the rest of the series. They nailed BB-8 in my opinion as a cute friendly droid adventuring with people not going beep beep bop in the back of an x-wing.

I really liked the movie. The way they changed up how Rey came to (or remembered) the force.... how Kylo Ren can see what she cant understand yet( I see the ocean and island) and he can feel her fear as she is awakening (dont be afraid I feel it too) wow it was crazy. :D

I also like how they made it seem like Fin would be the force user but flipped script in the actual movie.
Poor Poe... not sure what they will do with him.
BB-8 is again on point all the way.

outsiders and dragons are usually pretty good for this. It depends on what you are looking to do with it.

Silver Crusade

Sorry, I dont consider anyone dealing with spells of that level to be "new". And if your a new GM who has older players running all over you, I would advise to talk it out or find new players.
Sim spell is very open ended yes but I think the implications of its power level are very clear. Of course this is also just my opinion and I am not saying that those that do not like it are wrong either.

  • Thieves' guild, starting from the bottom of the guild to the top.

Ran an all paladin group through the first few books of the Curse of the crimson throne. It was blast!

They curbstomped that poor AP, had me scrambling to make it challenging.
It was their introduction to Pathfinder and gaming period pretty much, but alas my then girlfriend and her friends decided that while they were having fun- magarita/mahjong/netflix night was more fun XD. oh well.
One of the highlights of the short campaign was when they sent their divine mounts (all of which had names btw) after one group of baddies and they chased the other. I can only imagine how scary having five holy horses chase you down and drag you out of your house would be.

I also had a lot of fun running a devils nunnery orphanage in Isger campaign. The campaign started off with them all being orphans and under the tutelage and training of the Chelaxian battle nuns/monks.
Then they got to choose they classes after graduating.
It was fun with them running around trying to get out of chores, get contraband, survive training,, etc.
The punishments were always fun, having to play pinata with a beehive and things like that.
"Sister Benevolent Murder Most Furious tells you to sit down and eat your greens." "what do you do?"
"I sit the @#$% down and eat my greens of course." XD
