Okay, so I'm trying to do some research on astronomy and the constellations for my Desnan cleric… And it seems like there's two systems of constellations on top of each other in the Inner Sea. People of the Stars has one set listed with a map of where each constellation is, but is there somewhere the map of the constellation set used in astrology is shown (and mixed in with the PoS constellation set)?
Hello, I thought I had emailed customer service about this, but seeing no response maybe I had the email address wrong. I had just over $100 in store credit before a purchase I made at Paizocon (Paizo Order # 3185088 for an Emerald Spire map pack, and I had checked my balance before I made the purchase), but now I have no credit remaining. I'm not sure what happened. There's no other unexpected purchases on my account against my store credit. Also, I tried applying my $10 certificate from Paizocon to cover the scenario I was purchasing after I got home from Paizocon, and that isn't showing up as available credit either. Since I needed to prep the scenario to run at a gameday, I was able to use my credit card with no issues. However, over a week later I still show no store credit. Thanks in advance.
First off all, I'm not sure if I'm in the correct part of the message boards. Please let me know if there's a better place for this to go! I am looking to do some Pathfinder/Golarion cosplay, so I'm looking for appropriate character suggestions. Something that I could do in time for Gencon would be great, but I'm also looking for longer term projects for future conventions. -My Criteria-
A quick survey of the sources I have hasn't come up with many options. I know that the criteria basically removes the iconics and most of the NPCs from consideration... so monsters and villains are open as options too. Here's what I've come up with as a list so far (may include Spoilers, so watch out for lots of clicking "Show"). -Iconics-
-Adventure Paths-
Rise of the Runelords:
An NPC? that I do not know, but my wish to cosplay came up in conversation and someone/thing was mentioned by one of the people in the conversation... along with a caveat of "I'm not going to actually suggest that [NPC? Enemy? I'm not sure], because it's insulting." Council of Thieves:
The Chelish Opera singer that's on one of the covers and is one of the Reaper minis. Reign of Winter:
Baba Yaga (hello great grandmother!) (I'm currently playing this with a run-away jadwiga.) An ice troll I haven't met yet -Pathfinder Scenarios-
PFS Intro 1:
Auntie Baltwin (Her full body isn't shown, but the ugly elderly aunt trope doesn't tend towards sleek and slender) The first one in the RoW list is one that I think I can manage by Gencon... just need a lot more makeup and some prop crafting time. But multiple options are good! Note: I am just looking for suggestions for Pathfiner/Golarion cosplay, because I've not found many myself. I realize that I'm not going to find much in the cast of characters being a plus sized woman, yet I hope that I am missing scores of possibilities in sources I don't have but am willing to pick up. If people want to have the "we need more body image diversity in the characters/game/art" conversation as a result of my request, I'll all for it... just not here.
I'm looking at building what's referred to in at least two sourcebooks as a white necromancer, a necromancer that chooses not to create undead, among the worshipers of Pharasma. (sources: Carrion Crown write up, Gods and Magic). Someone dedicated to figuring out the magical/mystical differences between life and death, and how the energies of undeath work (the better to disrupt them). While maybe some more information will come out when Inner Sea Gods comes out, I wanted to start looking at ways to build a white necromancer for PFS play (which is why the White Necromancer from Kobold Quarterly is out of the running). And yes... ok... I know there's the whole "OMGs UNDEAD ARE BAD and controlling undead is a logistical nightmare and necromancers = undead ... AHHH" thing going on. This is *not* what I'm asking for build advice on, and I'd like to avoid the thread devolving into that.
Was there someone this past GenCon who did something really nice out of the blue for you? If so- let them know you appreciate it! Here's mine:
I've been looking around to see if this has been addressed before, but I haven't found anything specific. If you have a cleric or paladin on the table with a specific set of tenants to follow, and another character at a PFS table does something that goes against those tenants... what do you do? Example A: I have a cleric of Pharasma. Another PC brings a necromancy focused character to the table. If he raises a skeleton (or other undead), do I have to be a jerk and destroy his resources and effectiveness in order to remain in my goddess's good graces (and in the process arguably violate the DBAD and PVP rules), or do I not destroy them on sight and face loosing my clerical abilities and finding an atonement? Or do I walk away from the table/bring another character and doom the table to a TPK because there isn't another appropriate level healer available (the table was a 10-11, so the lvl 7 Kyra wouldn't have helped enough to prevent a TPK)? Or do I be a jerk (again) by insisting that the other player change what character he wants to play? Example B: Player has a paladin of Iomedae. In keeping with the justice/valor/honor theme, the player has decided that Iomedae does not approve of lies. Another player, who just converted to Iomedae via long term interaction with this paladin, is the face and sneaky character on the table. Both refuse to bluff in any of the social circumstances when needed (and per the situation in the scenario it would have been a bluff check, not diplomacy), or assist with breaking into the location we needed to get to in order to fulfill the Pathfinder Society mission. (Note: only one character could have been in trouble with Iomedae if not being honest would have landed someone in hot divine water.)
I'm asking this on the behalf of my friend Tersha (if you were at GenCon she was the Ticket Goddess at Pathfinder HQ and is the wife of GM Jonathan Choy). Does the iconic goblin (featured on the GenCon volunteer shirts), have a name? It's only fair... the iconic class characters have names.... ~Millie Cady |
