While he worried over his current inaccuracies lately Almos decided to get a feel for his new light crossbow. With everyone getting at least some he figured he wouldn't feel bad if he couldn't get any game. Crossbow: 1d20 - 8 ⇒ (15) - 8 = 7
Much of his confidence was returned despite one pheasant somehow had only been stunned and nearly knocked him off his pony.

"If you don't know why this concerns me you are not important or care enough about here. You have been asked to leave and I suggest you do so." He says with more confidence than he felt. For an added flair he muttered under his breath to get a little magic going. Ghostly serpents curled around his limbs and breeze rustled his clothing. Using my Cantrips feat to create a minor breeze. Snakes are from my Magical Signs drawback Intimidate: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 My dice rolls continue to fail me.

Who is that? I don't think I've seen him before. Almos think as he pushes his bowl forward and prepares to get up from his seat. Miss Ameiko was letting him stay here in exchange for chores, but if he could help out more he was going to!

Almos didn't seem to mind at all, though on occasion Chakacoatl would let out a soft hiss while dodging all the extra feet around. The boy picked up a nice set of studded leathe a rumor, thinking all the metal bits looked cool. "I wish I'd had my dagger yesterday too." He said as he gave the blade at his hip a pat. "I had the hammer from the pumpkin game, but I couldn't hit anything but a pumpkin with it. I guess I'm not a very good fighter."

Almos had gone to his small room at the Red Dragon Inn and collected his own weapons but given the chance to get a new one he cheered up a bit. He even tried a few to see which he liked best before settling on a one of the smaller crossbows. It wasn't like he'd been useful up close after all. The next day his mood was noticeably better as he was able to bring Chakacoatl back to this plane. Serpentine friend back at his side, Almos began walking around town again. He didn't understand what everyone was so impressed over, though he had to admit his new crossbow looked nice. It wasn't until he spied someone not in high spirits that he thought something might still be wrong in Sandpoint. "Hey there, uh..." He pauses and flicks his fingers a bit. "Aeren! Yeah, Aeren. Are you okay? Did you have a bad dream or something? Did you eat carrots? I know I have bad dreams if I eat carrots before bed." Chakacoatl, for his part, stays back a foot or two.

"Chaka..." Almost says quietly as he stares at the spot his patron was sent back to the Other Planes. Angry at this, he ran over and gave te goblin that did the deed a hard kick before he calmed down. "I'm sorry, everyone, I can't heal anymore today, and Chakacoatl's gone until tomorrow. I'm not going to be very helpful aftr all, it seems."

Almos, not sure what he could do besides try and back his newly formed friends up with his magic or distract the goblins by swinging the hammer wildly, ran forward to be next to Chakacoatl and drew on a little wellspring of magic that was different from the rest. It let him see how near to death those in front of him were. Moving to be next to the Snake and using his deathwatch spell-like ability. As this goes on Chakacoatl hisses angrily and strikes out at the goblin that had dared to hurt He Who Sheds Death! Much like his young priest, however, he seems to be quite out of practice. "I'm not much of a fighter, but Chakacoatl here is better at it than I am and he can't be too far from me or he isn't able to stay. Plus I have magic that can heal, if um... it works." He mumbles the last bit, his confidence a bit shot at the moment.

"I don't have a well to worry about, so it's being isn't-" "That is not what he meant." Chakacoatl interrupts. "I was..." He sighs, shaking his head. "Thank you, He Who Sheds Death. I wasn't aware. Still, I will help him. The goblins attacked our home after all. Everyone's home."

As the shock and adrenaline wore off during the walk with Sheriff Hemlock to the garrison, and once there he gave a weak smile to Koya and Shayliss before sitting on the ground and resting a hand on Chakacoatl. All this reminded him of... something. It was too blurry in his head. He was just glad everyone seemed okay. He was just as upset that he'd barely been any help at all.

"I am starting to hate this festival..." He replies as he sits down and starts to murmur sibilant words under his breath. More snakes begin to appear around him, showing up and disappearing just as fast until finally several slide to the ground and form a two-headed, slightly feathered serpent. "I ssscent blood... and the small waste-takers..." "Yeah, goblins are attacking and ruined the festival and I need your help, Chakacoatl, sir." "I will assisst you. You should tend the other small one first though." The serpent says as he it looks over to Quiin. "Oh... yeah, h-he looks pretty bad." He says as his sees the state Quiin is in as well. He began chanting again and a snake came out of his sleeve to slither through the air and bite Quiin in the shoulder. Same as before. Will Save DC 12 to try and fight off the healing venom. Failure results in Fast Healing 1.

I imagine Almos' magic looks like this with significantly less skin showing. Safe for work, just lots of skin on that lady.

When my turn comes around I'm using my Life Sphere Cure ability on Isaac. With my Slow Recovery drawback it's only Fast Healing 1 for one minute, and with my Unnatural Rememedy drawback he needs to make a Will Save, DC 12. Success means he shrugs it off. Stepping back and look around, Almos' eyes go wide as he sees Issac seems to have been set fire and is now bleeding.. strangely. Well, strange or not, he had to try something. So he began chanting the words Chakacoatl had taught him and pointed at his injured battle companion. "Sphaera vitae remedium..." He murmured as a soft hissing filled his ears. "Constituitur sanationis... lento convaluisset...." Several serpents of a ghostly appearance slid out of Almos' sleeves to fly over and bite Isaac, injecting a burning liquid into arm. Following the idea that his magic comes from snakes, the Fast Healing is flavored as medicinal venom instead of destructive. Snake venom is used in different medicines, so I thought this was fitting. Also Google Translate to Latin is fun. :)

The sudden ambush was a shock to Almos, but he forced himself to go through the fear and rush a goblin(red), swinging the pumpkin game mallet wildly. It is unfortunatel that goblins are far less stationary than pumpkins... Mallet: 1d20 ⇒ 1 -4 if it's not treated simple bludgeoning weapon.

Almos looked back and forth as the exchange about the ghost-but-not went on before he shrugged and put the hammer down. "What's the big deal, everyone? She can bring her sister here just like I bring Chakacoutl I bet.

Almos wasn't really sure what to do. He hadn't thought about bringing his own knife to the festival, and it took too long to call Chakacoatl to his side. He had to think of something he could do though! That's when his mind went back tot he pumpkin smashing game. There was a hammer there, and he'd smashed a pumpkin to bits with it! "I'll be right back!" He promises before running off towards the pumpkins. Sorry for the delay on my end. Anyway, would I be right in thinking the pumpkin game is the cart to the right of where Almos is now? If so or if not, he moves towards the place he knows has a hammer.

"Off! Okay, I can do this..." The hammer was heavy, but he could lift it. Now Almos had to do was figure out how to swing it the best way to get a really good hit! Thinking about what he knew he decided to swing it around in a circle a few times, just like he would his sling when skipping rocks, and bring it to bear against the side of one of the pumpkins, cracking it open and slinging pumpkin bits all over the place!

"Sounds like fun, and after you can use the mashed pumpkin to make Goblin Brain Pie! May I get the hammer? I'm gonna try it." he held out his hand and gave a friendly smile. The idea of pie might be motivating the boy more than, say, getting to smash stuff though.

Once he was sure he'd forgotten the sight of whatever had been in the tank Almos began walking around to look for something else to do. His eyes landed on a large amount of pumpkins and hurried over to see Daviren Hosk. "Hey, mister, what's the game called and how do you play?"

Almos was ecstatic. He'd heard about the festival before but he'd never actually been to one. The boy wished Chakacoatl could be here. Miss Ameiko had suggested he'd be... distracting for some of the other people at the festival. Something about a two headed snake-god being unusual? He didn't really get it. Instead of thinking about it though he began using the little bit of extra coin he'd ben working really hard to get to run around and try all the games and food. Almos nearly asked if he could try the Hagfish Challenge, but when he saw what it entailed and the awful smell, he hurried away and tried to keep his meal(s) in his stomach. "Why would anyone want to do that?!"
