I am thinking about adding elements from the Kingmaker adventure path to my Rise of the Runelords campaign after the PCs liberate Fort Rannick. Specifically, I intend one of the PCs to become Baron Rannick, ruling over a 5-hex domain near Turtleback ferry and leaving it up to them what to do with what I am naming the county of Rannickshire. If they run with it, I would expand the timeline between HMM and FotSG and likely relocate the Sandpoint attack to whatever city the PCs build.

To this end, I superimposed a 12 mile hex grid on the Varisia (and Turtleback ferry and Sandpoint Hinterlands) map and added in my interpretation of the holdings of the various political entities out there:

Varisia - Letter Sized
Varisia - Poster Sized
Fort Rannick and Sandpoint hinterlands maps to scale

I was surprised by how large a hex is - essentially the first two Runelords modules take place in about half a hex.

I guess I'm most interested in feedback about what I've done, about the political boundaries as I have defined them and in what people think about mashing these different themes together.

That was GREAT!

My group has just played in a way that required this information. Tks a lot!

It´s great just to imagine this new card game. I have played ( as GM ) Runelords and i´d love to show the history to other people but it´s hard do give the same game.

Well, im Brazilian and i hope that i can get the playtest, even being so difciult. I have a goups of 5 (plus me ) veteran players who play RPG over for 10 years and board/card games too.

If some oportunity apear, i´d love to participate and pay all the costs.

Tks a lot for this idea by the way.

Just let it happens and see what your players do. Silence is the best way to go, and judge their action with reactions. A Vengfull drow, somo rebuke from some god or a bless from a evil god.

Personaly i love put my players in ethical war.

I have seen only today, and happens that i´m playing the Adventure Path - Second Darkness - #03 - The Armageddon Echo where there is a encounter with the Velashu Horse Lords, and in the description there one importante quote:

Adventure spoiler:
Over the generations, their blood has
mixed with both Varisians and the odd Shoanti—although
the Horse Lords aren’t officially part of the Shoanti tribes,
some scholars still refer to them as the “Eighth Quah.”
Never in front of a full-blood Shoanti, though.

Well, i think that by now everybody here knows that, but for those who find this thread by google i hope there is for some help.

ps: sory my bad english, im from Brazil ;)
