![]() I'm always on the look out for new monster books. I own a bunch of them from OSR to PF. I was wondering if I am missing out on some. I currently own these: Tome of Horror Complete
What other monster books are out there? Preference is quality, substance(more then 64 pages), full color art, and in print. I do use 3.X Monster Books and probably own 90% of them. So don't inclued 3.X books. ![]()
![]() Thinking about picking up FGGs Quests of Doom for Pathfinder. Before I do I was wondering what everyones opinion of it is? How is it overall? How long are the adventures? 1 or 2 sessions worth each one? Also how is the the cartography for the maps. Also are they any 1st level or 2nd level adventures? ![]()
![]() Sometimes you don't appreciate things. After reading Lords of Rust last night I just wanted to thank Paizo for their adventure paths. They are very elegant books that simply get better with each passing issue. They are the best value in gaming. I have every single issue of the APs and highly cherish them. Thanks to the writers, developers, artist, etc. Awesome job!! ![]()
![]() With thousands upon thousands of pages devoted to monsters from 3.0 to 3.P what monsters stand out? I'm looking for monsters with an interesting mechanic beside grab, bite, claw, etc. Monsters that do things differently. Anyone have a favorite monsters that stands out crunch wise? Any 3.X source is allowed. Here are a sample of ones I find interesting. Nilbog: CR 1 Tome of Horrors Complete
Blade Beast: CR 3 Creature Collection II
Solesik: CR 8 Book of Fiends
Notes: Solesik have only 39 HPs for CR 8 but also can cast Power Word Stun 1/day which would probably screw a party of equal level. I think Eric Mona might haven't written this guy. Anyone else? ![]()
![]() Hello, I received my order on Saturday. Problem is the package did not contain the five flip mats that it was suppose to. Received everything else in that shipment. Please advise. These are the items missing GameMastery Flip-Mat: Cathedral

If you are interested. Shoot me an e-mail. lastgrasp@yahoo.com ![]()

![]() Just asking for an opinion on the above mentioned topic. Anyone bought any of this series? Thoughts or opinion? I know a lot of the D20 Material Mongoose publish was rather poorly rated so trying to gauge if it's worth tracking down a couple of these books to rob ideas from. Where all the books 3.0 or 3.5? Any book that stands out? Any book to stay away from? ![]()
![]() Material that is allowed: Pathfinder Core Rulebook, Advanced Players Guide, Ultimate Combat, and Ultimate Magic. May allow Psionics from Dreamscarred Press. Haven't read the books but have the material. Characters start at 1st level. 20 Point Attribute Build.
I don't need a rich background for characters. Essentially you are going to Rappan Athuk to rid the evil of this horrendous place or loot the place for power. This thread is for players discussion between session. You can spread out loot here, talk about the game, talk about whatever you like. ![]()
![]() Looking to start up a Rise of the Runelords campaign. It will be the anniversary edition of the campaign using Pathfinder Rules. Looking for five players who are consistent and looking to complete the entire adventure path. Will probably be around one year from start to finish. I'm going to use Roll20 Virtual Tabletop and voice chat to run the campaign. So a mic is required. I'm looking at bi-weekly game on Sunday Nights from 7pm to 11pm EST. Looking to start the campaign on 9/9/12 If you are not committed to playing in an online game and aren't mature enough to show up each session please don't respond. If you are serious about making the campaign and want to a fun experience then shoot me an e-mail at lastgrasp@yahoo.com The game will be a standard 15 point buy. Looking for a well balance group. Races from Pathfinder Core Rulebook allowed. All classes allowed except Gunslingers. Power gamers and munchkins please look elsewhere. ![]()
![]() I'm currently running the Darkmoon Vale Modules. Yesterday I ran Hollow's Last Hope and had a blast. I've updated them to Pathfinder. Now I plan on running Crown of the Kobold King next. That should get the group to 4th level at the end of it. Now Revenge of the Kobold King is 5th level but I don't think it should be much of issue if I run one level lower with a party of 5/6 players. What other modules tie into the Darkmoon Vale area and is a good progression after Revenge of the Kobold King? ![]()
![]() Trying to get real world analogies for the human races in Golarion. Some of them are pretty easy to pick up. Others I am curious see what people think. * Chelaxian - Italian type
I know that Golarion is loosely based off of Earth so trying to figure out where certain ethnic races fit in. I know it's a fantasy setting. Just curious. ![]()
![]() Recruiting for Online Game. Tales of the Pathfinder Society
Campaign Information is in the link below
If interested please contact me at lastgrasp@yahoo.com This is my second online game. I'm currently running a Carrion Crown Game on Monday Nights. I am only seeking mature gamers who consistently show up for each session. ![]()
![]() My group is about halfway through Trial of the Beast. As I'm starting to read Broken Moon it's hasn't inspired me all that much. Anyone ran Broken Moon? How did it go? If I alter the adventure, I would alter the first part Shudderwood and keep Feldgrau. Anyone have any idea for streamlined version of the Shudderwood plot? Or an idea for alternative that still leads to Feldgrau? ![]()
![]() Out of curiosity, has anyone used non-paizo classes in their adventure path? How did you write them into the campaign? What were your experience with them? I was looking at Psionics Unleashed and thinking of allowing those classes into any future APs I run. Has anyone used the psionic material? On the same note, what about non-update classes from Wotc products like the warlock, binder, etc. ![]()
![]() I'm going to post my session logs from CC campaign. It's currently being ran on OpenRPG(for map and mini use) and Skype for actual chat. The group: Players:
The Rogue and Monk joined in Session Two. I had to write them as having issues getting to Ravengro. We had a half-elf bard in session one, but he only made that session and had to be written out. As with any game I had to improvise a bit if a certain player wasn't able to make it one night and slightly change things around. All the session log are bullet points by the players. ![]()
![]() I'm actually toying with idea of running a Planescape game using Pathfinder. Now from 3.X I'd be using Manual of the Planes and Planar Handbook. How would you handle the races from the Planar Handbook? Keep them as is? Besides the obvious ones like the tiefling that already in PF. On the same note, has anyone done Planescape using pathfinder? ![]()
![]() Currently running the first part of the carrion crown adventure path: haunting of harrowstone. I have a few questions. 1. Since I have a six player party group, at the end of the first arc they are probably going to be mid 3rd to close to 4th level. Now, I was wondering in between 1st and 2nd part of the AP what are some good sidetreks that you have used or are thinking of using? I know the travel to Lepidstadt is about 100 plus mile so it gives me some options to put the group at 4th before they encounter the traveling show.
2. Can a potion of cure light wounds be used as a splash projectile vs. undead to inflict positive energy dmg? My group lacks a cleric or paladin. 3. If you ran the first arc, how many session did you take to complete the Haunting. We just completed two four hour sessions and the group is currently exploring the first floor of the prison. So I figure about three more sessions and they should be completed. How has your progression been? ![]()

![]() I was wondering what 3.5 books from Wotc are conversion lite? Meaning I pick them up, they are somewhat decently balanced, and requires me to do very little conversions. I know some conversions are necessary, I know some of the monsters books have a quick conversion of drop 1 from CR, add a couple of feats, etc. How are the 3.0 monster books when doing the quick conversion? Like MMII and Fiend Folio? Exo ![]()
![]() Pathfinder: Scarred Lands: Ancient Shadows Campaign Recruiting (Open RPG) System: Pathfinder RPG
Looking for 4 to 6 players for a Pathfinder RPG using the Scarred Lands as the setting. No prior knowledge of the setting is required. It's going to be a long term game and I'm seeking dedicated mature players who can commit to showing up weekly. I have ran D&D 3.0/3.5 and this will be my first Pathfinder campaign. Experience or no experience with the system is fine. As long as you show up, have fun, and want to be part of long term campaign. Brief Rundown of Scarred Lands:
Ghelspad, once a land of wealth and high magic, was the main battle field, and now, 150 years later, is still seeking sunlight and sweet air. Titanspawn, undead, and foes in shadow still threaten even the strongest city-states and nations. The Gods claimed the war was for our sake, for the preservation of the divine races. While it was true that on a whim the Titans may cause mass destruction at any time, altering coastlines and leveling mountains, or forging new creature races that swarmed the planes seeking the meat of our children, there was prosperity before the war. There was beauty. Generations of humans and elves lived their lives in relative peace and hunger was not a worry for most civilizations. The cataclysmic events caused by the destructive powers unleashed on Scarn, from the City of Mithril on the Blood Sea to the Elf Kingdom on Karria, have given rise to a new name for this land. The Scarred Lands. For information on joining the game please contact me at lastgrasp@yahoo.com Also check out my livejournal page: http://exoknight.livejournal.com/ Throwing out the Possibility that I might use OpenRPG for dice rolls and use Yahoo Messenger for Voice-Chat. I never used Voice-Chat for online game before, but thinking that I might go that way. Right now it's a Open RPG Chat-Based game.
