Oh wait.

LMFAO

Liberty's Edge

I'm interested in how Hexes will work in 2E as well as what ones make it over (slumber being outlawed by a lot of DM's in 1E).

Liberty's Edge

This is where I'll be getting mine unless Paizo offers Gen-con pickup. They still haven't given a definitive yay or nay on that subject.

Liberty's Edge

Any new info on this? Can’t really preorder yet without knowing.

Liberty's Edge

If they don't do pickups for Gen-Con this year, then I'll probably just order from Amazon whenever they go up for order.

Liberty's Edge

I'm REALLY hoping they do pick-up for GenCon this year. I'd love to just order my books at pick them up from Paizo there, especially after the debacle that was the Playstest shipping.

Meh, I like it the way it is currently in the playtest.

Liberty's Edge

My copy is out for delivery, I ordered mine directly through Amazon.

Not sure why the orders placed here got delayed, since they're being fulfilled by Amazon, but I hope everyone gets their copy ASAP.

At least the PDF's will be available soon!

Liberty's Edge

This all sounds pretty sweet!

On a final note, I have to mention the artwork presented here. And that's because I'm very 50/50 on this one. The previous ones I've liked, but this time around I have to say that the Halfling really doesn't do it for me. I don't know what it is, but he looks more like a surly shaved dwarf than any image that I have of a halfling in my head (and I never really liked the hobbits as halflings - so the bare feet are not really my thing).

I feel the same. I was always more a fan of other fantasy setting’s take on halflings. Specially the one that comes to mind atm is an upcoming MMO called Pantheon. Fantasy setting with very cool takes on classic races with a bunch of new ones. Their halflings have a more children of the forrest/lost boys vibe. They are perpetually youthful looking and very colorful and starry eyed. Check out their description for them and their art here:

Pantheon Races: Halfings

Also I’m glad I’m not the only one wanting to role a small barbarian! I’ve got my Goblin Barbarian planned out, sans the new rules, stats, etc. Ready for the playtest!!!!

As a GM there is literally no chance there will ever be a goblin PC in my campaign. Even in the Golarion setting this makes no sense.

Lol, hope you don't ever GM a Society game. Because then you'll have no choice in the matter.

Regardless, this is happening. So if you're a player, don't play them, if a compatriot of yours plays one, that's fine too, and if you wanna ban them in your games, then you go ahead and limit your players' choices because of an archaic idea, the same anachronism you acknowledge in Orcs, but refuse to acknowledge in Goblins because... you don't like them...?

Pretty much this.

Lol, how the heck are you people going to tell people you're playing with, which is most likely your FRIENDS, that they can't play something in the core rulebook because you just don't like them? I'd bail so hard, then again I wouldn't have to since my friends are not going to force me to not to play a certain race from the CBR just because they don't agree with it for the story or AP.

You people do what you want for your home games. But thankfully nobody can dictate stuff like that at society games. Lol, if someone sits down with a Goblin character you'll either have to suck it up or leave.

SUPER PUMPED for this!

As soon as Paizo said that Goblins were going to be core, I was all in for 2E.

I've got the playtest books ordered and have already started developing my Goblin character so I can start making him as soon as the playtest releases.

Lol, I find it absolutely hilarious that some people are so upset at this. Upset at what essentially is more player choice. Seeing some posts that Goblin characters won;t be allowed at their tables. That totally makes you seem like the person I'd want to play with.

Thankfully with Society, nobody will be turned away for playing a Goblin.

I'll be seeing some of you at Gen-con Society games with my Goblin Barbarian when 2E drops.

There's "some of our characters dress considerate and some of our characters dress risqué just like people in real life do" and there's "every single female in our artwork has a 90G breast size because duh, that's what the target demographic is here for".

Paizo is the former, few slip-ups aside (and honestly, slip-ups are sometimes unavoidable when the deadline is tight and the artist fails to read the brief with comprehension).

Nah man, that's still too risky.

We should just take all females out of the game just to be safe.

Man this complaint gets old. It's fantasy. In a world where people can fly and shoot lightning from the palms of their hands there are still people that are upset by 2d images of fictional characters who are comfortable with showing their physique. Reality vs fantasy aside I wonder if their are women and men in the real world who do this....

How about we let creative minds create the things they want to create in the way they want to create them. Censorship is never the answer.

Now excuse me while i go finish painting the Red Sonja miniature that my wife begged me to buy her at Gencon last year...

Get out of here with that logic!

This is all REAL. The stuff that these women are wearing wouldn't protect them from a REAL magical lighting spell!!! You think that cloth would stop a a REAL fire breathing dragon's breath?

This game should only ever have REAL stuff in it.

Pre-orders are already up on Amazon.

Went ahead and picked up the CBR hardback and the Adventure Path.

Look I've already got my Goblin Barbarian planned for 2E. Penalties or no penalties, my boi is going to be wrecking stuff.
