The previous ones I've liked, but this time around I have to say that the Halfling really doesn't do it for me. I don't know what it is, but he looks more like a surly shaved dwarf than any image that I have of a halfling in my head (and I never really liked the hobbits as halflings - so the bare feet are not really my thing). I feel the same. I was always more a fan of other fantasy setting’s take on halflings. Specially the one that comes to mind atm is an upcoming MMO called Pantheon. Fantasy setting with very cool takes on classic races with a bunch of new ones. Their halflings have a more children of the forrest/lost boys vibe. They are perpetually youthful looking and very colorful and starry eyed. Check out their description for them and their art here: Also I’m glad I’m not the only one wanting to role a small barbarian! I’ve got my Goblin Barbarian planned out, sans the new rules, stats, etc. Ready for the playtest!!!!

Pretty much this. Lol, how the heck are you people going to tell people you're playing with, which is most likely your FRIENDS, that they can't play something in the core rulebook because you just don't like them? I'd bail so hard, then again I wouldn't have to since my friends are not going to force me to not to play a certain race from the CBR just because they don't agree with it for the story or AP. You people do what you want for your home games. But thankfully nobody can dictate stuff like that at society games. Lol, if someone sits down with a Goblin character you'll either have to suck it up or leave.
SUPER PUMPED for this! As soon as Paizo said that Goblins were going to be core, I was all in for 2E. I've got the playtest books ordered and have already started developing my Goblin character so I can start making him as soon as the playtest releases. Lol, I find it absolutely hilarious that some people are so upset at this. Upset at what essentially is more player choice. Seeing some posts that Goblin characters won;t be allowed at their tables. That totally makes you seem like the person I'd want to play with. Thankfully with Society, nobody will be turned away for playing a Goblin. I'll be seeing some of you at Gen-con Society games with my Goblin Barbarian when 2E drops.

Nah man, that's still too risky. We should just take all females out of the game just to be safe.

Get out of here with that logic! This is all REAL. The stuff that these women are wearing wouldn't protect them from a REAL magical lighting spell!!! You think that cloth would stop a a REAL fire breathing dragon's breath? This game should only ever have REAL stuff in it. /s |
