I have read the system and thought it was very well done. Always wanted to play it.
A shambling mound (or a piece of one). It can be used as a battery. You will have to charge it for a while first, but it can contain a theoretically infinite amount of power.
I'm thinking of making the tomb a layered demi-plane suitable for a former level 20.
It said that stealing the bracelet woke him up.

Make a kingdom of elfs, undead, wizards and demons. If the rest of the world does not like them then they can come here!
In the intro it says that Vordakai was trapped. It does not give an details that I can find. Are there any? Also is he still trapped or can he leave the tomb now if he wants to?
and was thinking about putting it into Varnhold Vanishing story line. Anyone else here watched overlord?
Pugwampi their Unluck Aura is just as annoying at level 20 as level 1 which is to say really really annoying. If you cast spells with saving throws it's a force multiplier. Also they are CR 1/2 and so have comparable CR to the summon monster 1 list.
Set wrote: I'd worry less about what the Clerics can do, and more about what the (supposedly) much more common Adepts can do. Which is the same, in this case.
Presumably, the deserts of Golarion are deserts *despite* the presence of Clerics, Druids and Adepts who can create water all day long, since the game world does exist as written. Perhaps the 'Water Lords' of Thuvia or whatever are run by cults that keep desert springs flowing with the help of 1st level Adepts, constantly 'praying to keep the water spirits happy.'
I think the reason that deserts still exist is that there is simply not enough population pressure to go to the trouble of terraforming them.
That seems like a great campaign.

So my character will not kill. Not because evil stuff deserves to live, but because he does not what to empower the evil afterlife. (He still feels free to kill stuff that does not have a soul) Um. People die. The timing of a hundred years isn't a big deal on the scale in question. Leaving them alive longer does give them more time to perpetuate their world view, though. You could make a case for not killing hermit liches, but other than that you're not helping by not killing.
If dead evil people benefited the cause of evil more than living evil people the evil gods, being evil, would just kill all evil people. That is why I am finding ways to make it so their souls do not get away.
Also as I mentioned earlier if I am not good I just need a higher spell-craft to make up for the missing requirement.
Lots of religions claim to put mechanics on things. They just fail at it.
Also I did not know about the losing your memory thing. That sucks I would not consider it to still be myself if I lose all my memories. There is only one thing for it. have to figure out how to make everyone immortal. Whatever the inevitables might say.
male Humen lv 4 Computer scientist
fort save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Well you catch him.
"Well this sucks."
Well if the DM house-rules that I'll forge them into unholy weapons then reforge that into a Redeemed weapons. Not as efficient, But...
And smart people do evil stuff gain alot of power and money use that money to buy a scroll of Atonement and use that a few minutes before death.
(example: Darth Vader)
Also have friends that will bring them back to life if they die unexpectedly.
Moral power-gamers.
Once you can cast Summon Cacodaemon you don't even have to be careful with the non-lethal damage. They can Soul Lock as long as it is done within a minute of death. Most fights are finished quickly.
I'm also getting ready to argue my case with the paladin.
"See if I don't trap their souls they are going to hell where they will be tortured forever. I'm doing them a favor really." I might be helped by the fact that all the stuff I am going to make from them are most useful for a paladin.
Well alot of the evil people are trying to live forever. I mean why else would a litch go to such lengths?
Others think they will get a better deal in hell if they make inside connections beforehand.
Also many people just arn't forward thinkers. Also we have people in real life that think that the world is flat or that evolution is a hoax. People can be real stupid.
I find it interesting how many people are responding without actually reading my posts.
Well not only I'm I denying the villains the resources I am making holy weapons that can only be used by the side of good against evil.
Now I am thinking of a sort of anti-hero character. Whose family had their souls eaten by evil outsiders. He swore revenge and will do anything it takes to fight the forces of evil. I'm definably not feeding the deamons (defeats the whole point!). I'll forge the souls into holy items myself. Although I will need enough spell-craft to make up for the creator must be good requirement. Can you imagine a Holy Avenger forged from 607 evil souls.
I have no idea what the alignment would be. Maybe evil, but well he is increasing the good in the world. Objective morality is weird.
Many people have said that it is alright to kill evil stuff, but a terrible thing to kill good people. However, I have been thinking about it and the opposite seems to be the case. If you kill a good person all you are doing to forcefully deporting them to a super happy fun awesome place. Well as when you kill an evil person you are sending him to a super evil awful torture chamber of infinite misery.
Also when you send people to the evil afterlife planes you are directly strengthening the Forces of Evil. Those souls will be used to create evil outsiders or magic weapons to arm them.
The point is not that I am squeamish. The point is denying hell the resources. If I can kill the evil stuff in such a way as that they do no empower hell then I will do so. I think I have found such a way in Create Soul gem. Which incidentally is about as dirty as your hands can get.
I'm not keeping them alive because I want them to stay on this plane. I just don't want to feed the demons/devils. I guess I could cripple them in some way so they will have trouble hurting people in the future. The trouble is that they are going to die some time in the future. So a need to redeem them, turn them to stone or trap their soul.
I wonder if I could trap the souls of evil people and forge them into holy weapons.
Create Soul gem is a 3rd level spell and so can be cast at level 5. Capturing the souls of evil people and forging them into Good objects might count as redeeming them.
Now I might count as evil for doing this, but since it reduces the evil in the world I am willing to live with that. I will just make sure to live forever or make sure that my soul is forged into a holy object in the same way.
So far nothing to deal with defeated stuff before level 8. Anyone have anything lower?
In the pathfinder setting when you kill evil people they go to an evil afterlife empowering that evil afterlife in it's war against the god afterlife. So my character will not kill. Not because evil stuff deserves to live, but because he does not what to empower the evil afterlife. (He still feels free to kill stuff that does not have a soul)
However, what are some tactics to neutralized bad stuff without killing it? I mean long term if you knock them out you still need to do something with them.
The only things I can think of is flesh to stone.
I don't think plane-shift allows you to pass between layers. Way too many outsiders can plane-shift at will.
The first challenge seems to be to sneak pass Barbatos in order to get pass the first layer.
I am thinking of making a lv 20 Gestalt module. The adventure is to sneak into Erebus the 3rd circle of hell and cook the books of Mammon. The war of hell runs on red tape seems fitting to strangle them with it.
Can anyone help me come up with obstacles the players should face?
I think their was something like that in 3.5. I remember reading it in the magic item compendium. Dispel on hit and ignore all magic generated miss chance. Not much of a caster level, but many monster don't have a high caster level.
Personally I'm surprised that none of the characters in my Game have requested retrain of at least Hp. It's a Kingmaker game so they have the time and most have almost died already.
Ahh now I see it
Retraining hit points takes 3 days and requires you to spend time at a martial academy, monk monastery, or with some kind of master of combat who is at least one level higher than you. At the end of the training period, increase your hit points by 1. You can retrain hit points only if your maximum hit point total is less than the maximum possible hit point total for your character.
They are the highest level people in their Kingdom. Maybe I should introduce a wandering Marshal Artist.
You know planets are mobile. They actually move very fast.

Imbicatus wrote: Serisan wrote: I find that to be less of a concern that people who talk about casting Create Water every round for days to support a desert town Just so you know, this really doesn't work. The water created by create water disappears after 24 hours. You can live off it, but you can't fill a cistern for a town to live off after you leave. Actually it only disappears if it is not drunk. So if you have a bunch of people in a dessert drink from create water and pee it out you will soon have an oasis there.
The current way in the rules is to roll foe events every day. However this is time consuming especially when you have 4 players would might all have more then one building. Can anyone think of a way to have random event without so much trouble?
Here is an idea. The player comes up with their code and whenever it causes them trouble they get a hero point.
I was thinking to make it so that reputation equals power in a literal sense. As your Infamy score goes up you gain mythic tiers.
Any suggestions or problems with this?
I know about the dresden files RPG and have read though it really liked it, but I can't get a group together for it.
I think the biggest different between a knight of the cross and a pathfinder paladin is that when a knight of the cross has faith it is rewarded. He can be sure if he stays true everything will turn out all right. He can trust the DM. A pathfinder paladin however can be put into double binds and other stupid things.

That is the thing with Paladins. They have no fight or flight reflex only a fight or fight some more reflex. Also trying to torture information out of a Paladin is any exercise in frustration.
I was wondering do you have a master of potions? I have heard before that Alchemists can be made into drug powered bosses using stuff like Alchemical Allocation and other discoveries. The Alchemists I have seen seem to focus on throwing bombs. Do you have a Bane type character?
I have been reading the dresden files and I find Michel carpenter to be the best example of a paladin I have found in fiction. To that end I want to make an archetype to help reflect his abilities.
I feel like detect evil should be replaced with something else. Maybe plot sense that he know how to arrive in the nick of time?
Other ideas?

Because laser pistols are cool.
But sure, if the GM wants to allow it. Decide what properties you want it to have. Decide whether it falls under the Technology category or not. I'd say yes, but your mileage may vary. If so, use those rules. If not, determine a price for it. Remember that prices are set for utility and balance, not on supply and demand or what you think the raw materials should cost. Then come up with a DC, pay half the cost in raw materials and go to town.
Remember there's nothing special about you. Anyone else who can make the Craft roll can make the stuff too. Of course there is something special about me! I'm a PC.

For all of these flesh to stone is easier.
Drat: Only creatures made of flesh are affected by this spell.
Any other spells that don't kill but permanently disable. Not just permanent in the duration, because alot of this stuff can dispel magic.

I am not sure what kind of fuel they use though.
Could be food, water, and oxygen. Could be interesting RP when it comes to down to what they accept as food though. It might just be about 'burning fuel'. And with those large bonuses against poison, I'd imagine they aren't too picky. Leaves, twigs, and fugu anyone? Unfortunately, their need to eat/breathe/etc. makes it difficult for me to imagine them as anything other than an organic being infused with nanites, a la Generator Rex, than an artificial being. Not having to eat and surviving in a vacuum are just things I see as an innate part of androids/robots/etc. Robots need air too! What do you think the fans in your computer are for? Without air your computer would quickly overheat.

You know I don't even want to make super-science stuff like a laser. Just stuff like concrete, plastic. Things we already have.
Sort of wanted to make a flying castle and need strong materials that are light yet strong.
What purpose could such a fortress possibly have?
I bet if you listed all the things it does for you I could find a way to do the same thing at 1/10th the cost.
Well dominate person can get you some more minions. Also dominate monster does help with planar binding. Still those last a day per level so you can put them in 2 slots on your off days.
I guess a good example is harry potter. In those books they have technology however wizards tend to dismiss it or look at muggles with condensation. Just in pathfinder their is less hidden magical world.
So technology progress is happening. It is just that currently it is thought of as an odd habit of dead magic backwaters?
Also I suspect that even many of the smart people living in dead magic areas leave because well if you could move somewhere that you could become a wizard would you?
