Yeah I know about the Non-Militant Ordos, I am wanting to make a Militant Ordo Sister, and take the elite advancement found on page 38 of Enemies Within in order to gain access to the Sororitas power armor and talents the advancement gives. If I can't skip the Influence requirement, that's fine, just need to know which way to go cause it influences my build and XP spending. Edit: novitiates are frequently picked up by Inquisitors out of the ranks of the more capable prospects. I was planning on having her have a record of serving with Inquisitor Bouchon and having earned her power armor while on campaign in his service.
Coming back to this after being sick for the past few days, I know a handful of inquisitors are known for holding alien races such as Eldar among their agents. Is that something that would fit here, or would I be better served sticking to the Sister idea I had earlier? I don’t even know if Dark Heresy has rules for non-humans, actually. Figured I should at least ask! Or was I thinking of Rogue Traders, hmm.
Emperor's Blessing?: 1d10 ⇒ 8 Success! +1 Fate
"Ignorance is a wisdom of its own": Reduce this character's Perception characteristic by 3. The first time he would gain 1 or more Insanity points each session, he reduces that amount by 1 (to a minimum of 0) instead. Perfect for a Sister! No need to question Him on Terra.
WS: 3d10 + 25 - 5 ⇒ (6, 10, 5) + 25 - 5 = 41
Feudal - Sororitas - Crusader Seems good enough for a Sororitas. Will probably be looking to focus on heavy weapons and eventually get her full power armor, if it goes on long enough.
Looking at Crusader for now. I'm not 100% solid on all of the rules system quite yet, but I have a basic idea and am reading to learn. I did have a question about backgrounds, is there a set system this is taking place in? Looking at a third or fourth daughter of a feudal world's ruling family essentially 'donated' to the Soritas and eventually being picked up by Inquisitor Bouchon. Do I pick an existing world or make one up for her?
I think 6 would be way better than 7-8. Once you get too far past 5 it’s hard to make any one character stand out that much in the story. In the games I run, I usually aim for 5, which gives you an extra spot for a leaver but also lets each individual member stand out in their stories. Just my experience though, of course!
Interested! You mentioned Vishkanya being accepted, and I have a concept for a Deadly Courtesan Rogue, and I had a question. Is there any source of info about how Vishkanya are treated in Taldor? I don’t want to constantly have to fight against super massive fantasy racism if that’s the case. I’m okay with a little bit of tension but not outright hatred from everyone, if that’s the case then I’ll go with something else.
Very interested! Brewing an oread geokindticist, sort of a forgemaster/clockwork crafter who worships Brigh and wants to integrate some tech/clockwork into his body through the use of the kineticist talents dealing with that (clockwork heart etc). Should have something put together tomorrow! Quick question though, would you be okay with me swapping out the Oread acid resistance for fire resistance, to better fit his being able to work with direct fire so easily? If not that’s okay, figured I’d ask.
Hey gang, sorry about that. Thought I had made the post to each of my games, but apparently missed this one. Had the dental surgery today, everything went well and even through the pain and aches I feel much better than my previous state. Gonna take a few days off to rest and recover, and then I’ll have my games back up shortly thereafter! Thank you all for your patience.
If I wanted to buy the samsaran racial trait Mystic Past Life with our bonus RP to get some more ice spells on my witch list, how much would that cost me? If you even allow it, that is. Mystic Past Life (Su) wrote:

Especially if it's hard to cross-reference the continuity from the current forums as they're left behind! <_< Agreeing with this, wish we had a bit more info on how the current campaign content will be moved over to the new forums, and how the new forums will impact the usability of the tools we have here. Hopefully it all goes smooth and not too much needs to change!
Seer of Shadows wrote: I didn't receive any private messages, so did it get eaten by the website? Either way, feel free to send the details of her background and othersoul whenever it's convenient for you as there is still plenty of time left before the recruitment closes. No, just was out for the holiday. Should get it sent over tonight!
Still working on my winter witch/spheres shifter. Aiming for a "hedge witch in the forest outside the village" angle, with some Germanic tribal elements (slight weather control, herbalism flavored healing etc). Obviously no up front obvious magic, and plan on taking Improved Familiar for the Nehushtan to explain a lot of her healing ritual's effectiveness. Few story spoilers I don't want to give away just yet, will send some story ideas as far as her background/othersoul to you, Seer.
Two more questions. 1. How do classes with spellbooks/familiars that grant spells known (wizard/witch) pay for new spells to be added to their source? Is that out of the Curio gold? 2. When the curio says “wondrous items”, is that specially the non-slotted wondrous items, or can we get the effects of rings, necklaces, etc from that pool?
Would the Spheres of Power Shifter’s shifting abilities qualify me for the Natural Spell feat? I couldn’t find anything on it counting as wild shape, but it seems silly for it not to.
Looking into the Spheres of Power Shifter as opposed to the Druid, and was curious about when the feat used to combine two archetypes that replace the same ability would need to be spent. Apex Shifter and Fey Incarnate both alter the 20th level capstone, do I need to spend a feat to be able to take both now, or at level 20? Three feats is a heavy price for something I won’t even notice the overlap on until 20th level, so I’ll probably have to decide on one or the other if that’s the case.
Quite interested, love the fey and haven’t ever had a chance to mess around with them. One thing I noticed missing that didn’t carry over from your Kisarta recruitment rules is the using a feat to offset stacking archetypes rule. I have a plan for a Druid that takes the Feyspeaker and Menhir Savant archetypes, but they both alter Nature Sense. Can we use a feat to balance that out?
Reckless wrote: Sorry for the confusion. The original exception stands (which is what I meant by "stick with the no templates"), just no other exceptions. Those items are ok. Oooh fun! Thanks for the clarification. Did you happen to have Arinolus‘ domains for his clerics? Or does he not grant power like that?
The epic magic items that grant templates would apply those template abilities during a polymorph spell, right? Since they're continuous magic item effects. I'm working on a dragon shifter, who can spend 24/7 in his dragon form and don't want to waste money on something I can't use. Edit: for worshippers of Arinolus, what are his domains and subdomains?
I know flavor/backstory won’t be the most important here, but just trying to get a feel for the setting. This Arinolus, who we’ll be working for, is he worshipped on all planes under that name? Or would we be able to worship other established gods (both in Golarion or other universes) as being a facet of his being? Just curious about worshipping classes (cleric and the like).
As someone who hasn’t ever used HeroLab, how easy/expensive is it to get it to a place where I can actually use it for games like this? I know I have to pay for the service itself, but I see an annual subscription? Does that let me use all the first edition material, or do I need to buy each individual book I might need? Does it have any third party support, or is it only official Pathfinder material?
