hey so im trying to understand how the tatoos to work. are they just enhancements of spells or u can cast spells im just not understanding how it works

so our playgroup is having a disagreement on this spell.

here is the situation:

hallway is 20 feet across

large creature(enemy) is base to base with our large melee alchemist with long arm.I am standing behind the alchemist.I casts knights calling on la?rge enemy, he fails save.

there is no way for creature to move to me(who is behind the alchemist) without taking an attack of Opportunity.

i say he can move because his ONLY option is to move which starts an attack of opportunity because there is no way to get to me without hte attack.

my buddy is stating that sence any movement would cause an attack he wont move

who is right?

making a lvl 8 psychic.
im planning on specializing in enchantment magic.
but i also plan to have mind thrust as well

im trying to decide what traits/feats would be appropriate for this build

so the title says it all, i would like to build as psychic character who is good at controlling the battlefield and have the ability to do some blasting.

what spells should i pick up.

if you guys can think of a way to do it without going samsaran im ok with that as well.

ok im having a problem figuring out why so many guides show summoning spells as being very powerful.

when i look at the creatures that can be summoned they would be barely able to hit a target in my campaign(rise of the rune lords)

can someone explain to me how summoning is powerful.

Thanks

ok so im wanting to make a shadow priest how do you guys think i could do it.

While i want the shadow for flavor the group does need a good blaster so i would like ot be able to be a good blaster still

any help would be awesome

im also not against using words of power to make it even more crazy/fun

so im building a paladin for level 7
Angel born Assamir,w/ scion of humanity
STR-16 + 2(racial)
Dex - 10
Con- 14
Int - 12
Wis - 7
Cha - 15 +2 (racial)

thinking of putting my lvl 4 stat bonus to int to make it 13 so i can use unsanctioned Knowledge

feats
Greater Mercy, Power attack, unsanctioned knowledge, need one more feat.

traits not sure yet

want it to be a 2h guy but also have decent AC.

any advice.
what AC should i be aiming for with all my gear.
Should i change my stats a bit any advice will be helpful

So im going to pick up this feat. What spells should i pick up with this feat?

for level 2 i was thinking bladed dash

what spells would you guys pick up for all spell levels?

so im building a level 5 bloodrager for my campaign.
so i have decided to go Arcane(for RP reasons) so now im trying build the rest of the character

Is the urban bloodrager archetype worth using?

is Arcane Strike a good feat to get with a bloodrager?

right now im looking at taking Powerattack/combat reflexes/arcane strike

now a wierd question is Two weapon fighting a possibility to use?

so im a new GM and im wanting to make an appropriate encounter for my players.
They are starting at level 3 and they have 5 players.
im just trying to figure out how to make a proper enemies for them

So this group contains players familer with pathfinder so i want to make it challenging.

The way the book describes on how to calculate challenge rating for your group isnt to helpful to me. if anyone can give me examples on how you calculate how you decided how your encounters are fair for your players.

I want it to be harder. Character death is possible but i dont want the encounter to mean they will die. i dont want the encounter to be a formality. I know the players think challenging content is fun.

so im making a level 6 Samsarans with Mystic Past Life. What spells should i get with this awesome racial trait

im looking at Technology guide minibook

Are any of the class/archtypes worth playing?

so i have never made a range caster before(my magic experience comes from paladins and magus)

My group is melee heavy and we have a summoner who can buff the party so i was thinking of making a magic DPS or a debuffer who can do damage. What class should i go? Casters are new to me. I was originally leaning towards physic or a phycic sorcerer, sense no one is an occult class.

any help pointing me in the right direction would help. I know from past experience i dont like playing healers or buffer characters so i want to be able to do some damage.

I was looking at samsaran physic with the Mystic Past Life to get access to some Occultist damage spells.

Thanks in advance for any help
will also be willing to multiclass for something cool

No 3rd party
races must be from the races of the inner sea book

so i just hit level 7 so i now have access to level 3 spells
so i need to chose 2 spells. we have a summoner for haste casting so i dont need to pick it up. i was thinking fly but i could get flying through Monstrous Physique.

so what spells do u guys suggest, i have scrolls of lighting and fireball so i dont need those.

if i would take Monstrous Physique, what form is good for a blade bound magus

i was wondering if there is a way to get access to wizard spells as a psychic.
Right now to get fireball could go Samsaran with Mystic Past Life, to grab fireball from the Occultist spell-list.

is there any other ways to get access to other spells. I hate playing classes where i dont have any true offensive capability

how good is the psychic bloodline with a sorcerer at
low levels thinking of trying it out

so im working on a barbarian starting at level3
i rolled 18 14 15 10 10 7

i was thinking
STR18
Dex15
CON14
INT 10
WIS10
CHA7

what i was wondering should i get more strength or pick a race that would allow me to have more constitution to round out the character more. First time making a barbarian. so im curious. or even make my dex higher. im not sure what to do with this character. For story reasons i want it to have a strong dex score and i thought 15 would be good and probobly pump it at level 4.

if i empower arcana a shocking grasp and spellrecall the same spell does it stay empowered?

does haste work with kinetic blast? what range feats would work best to maximize damage

How hard is it to convert adventure paths from 5e to pathfinder.

im confused with the item creation rules

so if someone can give me step by step instructions.
i have craft wonderous item feat with +4 int, with 11 spellcraft,
and lets use Scabbard of Keen Edges since it is a item i want to make which has a caster level 5, costs 8000gold to make and i have all spells required to make it

Hi I am looking for a game in the Abbotsford area, travel to near by areas is not a problem.
I am 30 and have been playing RPGs for about the last 10 years.

Hi. I would love to get into an online game with a group of people. Anyone forming a group or needs a replacement.
would prefer a non-play by post game.

Is a shield bashing paladin worth it?
or would i just be better off using my feats to make my main attack hit harder/easer

is two weapon fighting viable as a pally or would i just be better off attacking with the one handed weapon

im thinking going the power attack route if i don't shield bash

any advice its for society and don't want to screw up a society build

im building a new character im just wondering what do you guys feel how much a feat is worth and ability points are worth.

looking at half elf Kindred-Raised or losing skill focus for a weapon proficiency

how do you guys weigh those aspects in character creation

so a question is say im lvl 6 magus and then i get lvl 2 dragon disciple do i get my lvl 3 spells and what happens when u take lvls in magus again. im not understanding how they interact

in general im not understand how the increasing in spell lvls with a prestige class works with any caster class

so i am wondering is it worth crafting magical items is there a benifit?

im a magus

question as a magus when i use my touch spell attack with the melee weapon does it get the minus 2 modifier?

im making my magus and im wondering if i should take spell-scars or create scroll.

creating scrolls does help my party and could make me money. but scars looks cool but limiting.

im also wondering can i use scrolls with spell combat or if that's the whole reason to take spell-scars so u can use it in spell combat

Spell Recall (Su)

At 4th level, the magus learns to use his arcane pool to recall spells he has already cast. With a swift action he can recall any single magus spell that he has already prepared and cast that day by expending a number of points from his arcane pool equal to the spell’s level (minimum 1). The spell is prepared again, just as if it had not been cast.

does this mean i used all my 4 spells for the day, i can then recall a spell and cast it again, or im still capped at 4 spells and i just lose one of my other prepared spells

so im having a problem trying to play the situation my fellow players have put me in. one of them has taken a goblin baby and wants to make him a pet. the other character is supporting him. my old character got captured and im rolling a new one and my new character is about to be introduced. how do i deal with the fact they have a goblin being cared as a pet?

like when my old character was with the group and they found the goblin they started to flip out when i attempted to kill the baby goblin. to the point they threatened to kill my character

are you allowed to use multiple archetypes as long as there swapping doesn't clash?

i have never played a caster before(new and tend towards fighters)

can somoene help me understand the process of lvling properly in the case of spells.
in my current game the GM has been nice and let us u lvl just take the spells.

what is the proper way to do this?

if i make a unchained monk can i use regular monk archetypes??

my buddy is looking at a prestige class(shadow dancer). He is wondering it requires stealth 5

does that mean minimum lvl 5 or if he gets the bonus from skill focus or class skill that he can go into the prestige class before lvl 5.

my beloved bloodrager got captured last night and i am looking at maybe making a Magus because they look fun.

i have been reading arcane mark is good with magus and i am trying to understand why. would anyone be able to explain how these are combed together to be something very good, i am just not getting it

So im building a bloodrager and im looking at what are the best archetypes to use. im thinking arcane but if i take primalist waht would be the best ones to sub for rage powers.

what bloodlines do you think are the best for a 2h wielder to use

so i want to make a two weapon barbarian. can you give me any advice or point me somewhere where it can give me good advice for this. Im new to pathfinder and want to do something different then my standard paladin build.
