its alright..I didn't mention it before because after reading some of it I wasn't sure if I would like it.

I may revisit again another time just not right now.

also managed to clean the computer of malware...yayyy. improved my speed by almost 1%

That is why I went Mac when I started my own business. In 4 years, I have had to reboot my machine perhaps 20 times, total, I used to have to reboot my PC 2-3 time a day and usually ended up reinstalling the operating system once every few months. Usually I have reboot my Mac because I have 50+ browser windows open (like reading through all Sorcerer bloodlines at the same time). I don't even have virus protection and have never had a virus, at least one that I noticed.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Just to let you guys know. I thought the concept for this world and campaign were pretty cool. Unfortunately the intermittent posting really made this lag.

Its been fun.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

I am always here. Just not sure what is happening as this campaign has started to lag.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Znierca attempts to slam her fists in the the non-sleeping one. She also positions herself near the sleeping one so that if he awakes and tries to move/stand, she will be able to attack him.

Attack-FoB: 1d20 ⇒ 8 <-- FoB = Flurry of Blows
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Attack-FoB: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Unfortunately her attack are poorly aimed and the kidnapper easily avoids the blows.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Yeh, sleep goes from lowest to highest HD, and if equal HD starts from the center out. It does not discriminate between friend and foe.

Waiting on the other one's response. I will attack if he tries anything.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Znierca nods and immediately moves out to challenge the kidnappers.

Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Znierca shakes her head and quietly mouths:
I don't think so.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Znierca turns and holding two fingers whispers back:
Looks like kidnappers. Two men dragging bodies.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

One thing that happens to me is when I clear the cookies from my cache, it logs me out. Then I wonder why I am not seeing any new posts. Eventually I realize that I am logged out and when I log back in have a pile of posts to read. It is also a reason that I have had the PM not work.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Znierca moves over next to the door and whispers to the others.

Someone want to open the door, I can hide here and see who is out there.

Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

I have send and received several today.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Znierca looks to Samuel as she rubs her sore head:
Do they always so rudely awaken people in this town?

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Now with a splitting headache, Znierca is fully awake and rather annoyed. Thus, she fakes with her fists while instead kneeing the man hard where it counts.

Attack-FoB-non-lethal: 1d20 ⇒ 14 <-- if possible, she will 5' step to get flanking, add +2 to attacks if this can be done
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Attack-FoB-non-lethal: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Nice town, do you always hit girls first?

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Attack-unarmed: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Am I next to him? if I saw him drawing a weapon, I would attack and should get an AoO if he is adjacent to me. How big is the room we are in?

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Init:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

I missed that in the OOC.

Znierca wakes up and shakes her head trying to figure what is happening.

She will stand up and ready an action to attack if anything should threaten her.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Znierca is sleeping her worries away.

Zzzzzz . . . until woken up.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Ah, I never really have looked at the 3rd party archetypes so I am not familiar with them. I figured it was the low charisma that was eliminating the spells. Interesting archetype.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Why would a summoner not cast spells? That is one of his chief abilities.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

With the speed of posting here, might as well jump ahead to the next encounter. If someone wants to retcon a discussion, they can. Although this should have happened over the past 2 weeks, and not after the fact.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Yeh, i like giving new players a chance, but both have been inconsistent posters at best.

I suppose that we have most things covered if you want to go forward with the 5 we have.

Melee - monk/arcane dualist/summoner
Skill - monk/arcane dualist
Arcane - summoner/sorcerer
Divine - cleric

Or, you can reopen recruitment. Sometimes you get a good app, but frequently apps for a reopened recruitment are less than optimal.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Fine by me. Who all have we lost?

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

I'm always here. Just waiting on someone else to post. Ready to investigate the towns problems.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Znierca shrugs:
I am fine with one room. Why wouldn't I be?
Although she spent much time wandering the city as a youth, she never really learned many social skills.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

When the group gathers back together:
There is something strange in this town. The locals seem to be talking about abandoned clothes and people missing, who supposedly did not leave town.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

While the others are negotiating and bathing in the local water troughs, Znierca quietly listens to the locals to learn what she can.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Znierca looks to Samuel:
There is little I need. I have not the funds for better armor and I doubt this town has anything magical that I could use, or afford. I shall stay with you as a guard, not that you need one. If you have a means to hide this mark, I would appreciate your help as I have never been skilled at deception.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

I would prefer either the early or late shift when it is partially light.

Lets move on, not sure who we are waiting for, but if it one person, bot them after 24 hours and keep this rolling. Delays like this make me forget what my character is about, which quickly increases to the campaign being less interesting, especially early in the campaign before the character has really developed.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Makes no difference to me. Really depends on how fast you want us to level.

Another option is to skip exp and just level us when you think it is a good time.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

How many are playing at this point? I can post several times per day, but do not want to be leading this campaign.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Grab whatever they have. No reason to leave if from more gnolls or scavengers.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Znierca shakes her head: Weapons are not much better than my hands, and the heavy studs in the armor would slow down my movement too much. Throw it on the wagon and sell it when we get to a town.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

If he is the only one left, I will charge.

Here is the roll so that you don't have to wait. I know Vincent has to go, just posting ahead of time.

Charge-attack: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 1 + 2 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Can I charge? That would be 60'.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

AoO Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Znierca lands a stunning blow to the man.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Not sure if I am next to someone, or within a 5' move. Going to post a flurry of blows, change to a single attack by adding +1 to the attack if I can only make a standard attack action.

Really annoyed that these bandits would have the gall to attack her and her new companions, Znierca continues to lay into them with her bare hands.

Attack-FoB: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (9) + 0 = 9
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Attack-FoB: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Unfortunately, the wily villain manages to evade both attacks.

Dicebot hates me. Dicebot hates me. Dicebot hates me.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Weapon Finesse+Butterfly Sting makes for a vicious rogue-great axe combo though. Rogue gets the sneak damage and then transfers the crit to the BSF.

Improved Whip, Serpent's Lash, and so forth.

There's one at allows you to threaten the entire range, making anyone who leaves any square within a 15 foot range provoke an Aoo.

The lash talent also does this at high levels.

Yeh, but then you have to invest in Weapon Finesse and Combat Reflexes to make that effective (assuming you are not basing your attacks off of strength in which case why are you using a whip.) Then you still only do 1d3 damage. It is nice that it allows both disarm and trip, but unless you are a full BAB class, you are likely to fail your CMB check a lot resulting in dropping the whip (instead of falling down).

Don't get me wrong, I love the whip, I just think that it unfortunately is underwhelming in usage, especially with all the feats that are required to make it moderately useful.

d6? looks like d4 to me.

------

Znierca quickly kicks at the man as he attempts to get up:
AoO: 1d20 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 1 + 4 = 18 <-- +4 prone
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

I am at TotalCon this weekend. So nonstop gaming, with little time to post on the pbp. Will try to check in when I can, otherwise I will be back Sunday night or Monday.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

For simplicity, lets just find someone who can cast Masterwork Transformation and pay them the 300gp when we find them. It is also a cleric level 2 spell, so Malowa should be able to cast it in a few levels.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Sorry, thought we were onto the next round.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Znierca smiles at the bandit:
Is that the best you can do, even if you hit me, I could make you miss.

With that, she steps forward once more launching a flurry of attacks.

Attack-FoB: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Attack-FoB: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

This time her blows are better aimed with one managing to leave a deep bruise (I hope).

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

Now standing next to the bandit, Znierca attempts to land a series of blows:

Attack-FoB: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Attack-FoB: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Man those are some poor rolls.

I will 5-foot move if necessary to eliminate a flank, or to gain one if possible.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

I'm too tired to post any comments.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

I will get the archers. Someone hit the guy with the big sword.

Znierca charges forward and attacks one of the archers.

Attack-charge: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 2 = 4 <-- +2 Charge
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

And she whiffs badly on her attack.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

If you have a normal familiar who pretty much sits on your shoulder and does not do much, same Init works better. If you have an Improved Familiar/Animal Companion/Eidolon which is effectively a separate entity with real attacks and abilities, I as a DM would want them to have their own Init. At the same time, having them act together in pbp does make things much easier and faster.

Here, since it is a DM run PC, it really should not matter as you can insert the eidolon and character actions as you update things without having to wait for the player to make multiple posts.

Female Human Monk(Wanderer)/1 -- (HP: 9/9; AC19; FF16; T17; F+3, R+4, W+6; Perc: +8, Init +2)

That is what I am saying. Even if the DM wanted the player to make a single roll for both, the summoner and the eidolon in all likelihood will have different Initiative rolls due to different modifiers. Having both act on the same initiative makes no sense.

Another way to consider it is that if the Eidolon was poisoned and had his dex decrease, then it should act later in the round. It would not make sense to punish the Summoner for his Eidolon getting poisoned by making both act later in the round, or to not punish the eidolon by having both still act on the summoner's init.
