Zika lets loose on the dog that bit her. Main hand attack, damage, sneak attack if it applies: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 191d4 ⇒ 11d6 ⇒ 2

Zika spits out a wad of mud and screeches in frustration. Seeing the dogs preparing to dash down the gangplank, she bares her teeth in a fearsome grin. If I can reach one with a five-foot step, I full attack. If not, I delay my action to full attack the first dog that gets within range. Main hand attack, damage, sneak attack if it applies: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 241d4 ⇒ 11d6 ⇒ 2
That's an...interesting set of rolls. o.O

My vote is to keep Zashi around. A better way to handle the issue in the future, however, might be to make it clear that during combat, if someone hasn't posted in 24 hours, the GM will post their action for the round for them to keep the game moving. Then, it doesn't have to get to the question of kicking someone out unless they haven't posted in, like, a week. That's been the expectation in the other PbPs I've been in. Unexpected things happen - it seems a bit drastic to go to the point of kicking someone out because there's one day they can't post.

Seeing Doza suddenly in some sort of tussle at the top of the ladder, Zika hops toward the muddy gangplank again. Better work this time. She attacks the planks and vines with a will, hurrying to get up. Climb: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Oh, fine! Zika takes off the robe, sets it carefully on the ground in front of her, and begins to pick at the corner of the patch, glaring daggers at Rhuun the whole time. After a few moments, the patch detaches itself, and in her hands begins to transform into long ladder. She hands the ladder to Rhuun and Urk. See if yous can handle setting ladder next to boat, stupids. We gots to get fireworks!

Zika rushes to the gangplank. I's fastest, I's best climber, let me go first! Climb the gangplank: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 *sad trombone noises* She rushes for the gangplank, begins the climb - and falls hard on her rump as she loses her grip on the vines and slips in the mud.

Seeing that Chomper and Zashi have managed to severely wound one of the horses, Zika jumps from her hiding place and ambushes the other, attempting to place it between Chomper's teeth and her own. Move action to get in position to flank the less-injured horse, standard action to make bite attack. Bite attack, damage, sneak attack+Dirty Fighter if I can get flanking: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 201d4 ⇒ 11d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 = (20 to hit, 1 damage non-flanking non-Stealth) (22 to hit, 5 damage flanking) (20 to hit, 5 damage non-flanking with Stealth)

Idk what it is, but modern settings actually don't really excite me in RPGs. I had a heck of a time trying to get into the Mage: The Ascension game I was playing with some friends. I don't know why, but for some reason I just connect with fantasy much more. Thanks for the link, though! (I did also see your Way of the Wicked interest check. Definitely interested in that, and I like the idea of starting with NPC classes. Ups the challenge level some, which I enjoy.)

Dogses! Zika snarls. She draws her fangfile, and readies it in her left hand as she brandishes the short sword in her right and bares her long, sharp teeth. Looks like I's bringing back dog for dinner tonight, too, along with fireworks. For her brave talk, though, she does wait for the others to prepare before charging toward the ship.

Zika walks next to Zashi and Chomper in the back of the group, scanning the trail ahead for dangers, or food sources. She see's Zashi's face as he climbs on Chomper's back, and internally echoes his sentiments. Stupids... she whispers to Zashi, giving Chomper a pat on the shoulder. She digs a finger into her ear to clean it out, forgetting that it's the ear she hurt yesterday in the Earbiter, and gives a small yelp of pain as it throbs anew.

Round 1, Initiative 14 Zika sees the spider going after the struggling Doza. She grabs her sword from her back, takes a step to try to get the spider between her and Doza, and swings at its bulging thorax, bellowing out a loud screech. Move action: draw sword. Free action: five foot step to get flanking if possible. Standard action: shortsword attack. Shortsword attack, damage, sneak attack+Dirty Fighter bonus if flanking: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 171d4 ⇒ 41d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 So 17 to hit, 4 damage if I hit, 4 more damage if I'm flanking. I'll probably use this format for all of my attacks, if it helps you out GM.

I's ready. Zika pats her pockets, bulging with vials of alchemist's fire and handfuls of food-like bits of varying quality, then checks in her belt and makes sure the map is still there, tightly rolled in her belt next to her fangfile. We go when alla others are here. She gives Chomper's rump a pat absentmindedly.

"Well, I KNOW to go to water, Doza," Zika replies, trying to subtly swing her pointing finger twenty degrees off its initial position to be closer to the direction of the water. She's giving her two cents on directions, saying that if we're needing to end up at a boat, we need to go toward the water.

I don't think you can make unskilled Knowledge checks? "No, silly Rhuun, we goes that way!" Zika points in the direction the map indicates. "Not sure exactly how long to walk there, but shouldn't take longer than to lunchtime, if we all gets stuffs and goes now."
Female Goblin Unchained rogue 1 (HP9/9, AC18/16/14, Init+5, Per+3, F2,R7,W0)
"Uh...Doza? I think bestest idea is to not BE ghosts at all." Zika pulls the short sword from her back and tests the edge. "We gets those fire makers, Chief. We gets rid of alla Scribbleface's bad luckses." She walks over to Doza and pokes her in the side. "What on scroll, what on scroll? Wait..." The Chief receives a long, cold glare. "Is it...writin' on here?"

Zika shakes herself from her deep slumber. The pain in her ear from the Earbiter incident has reduced to a dull but uncomfortable throbbing, only to be replaced by an unpleasant stomachache. "Yeah, comin', comin'." She makes her way upright, dresses, and throws the Very Useful Robe over her usual assortment of rags and castoffs, giving a final pirouette to admire it. On the way to the Chief's shack, she grabs a squashy handful of last night's leftovers from a pile on the ground near one of the tables and pops it into her mouth. Settle tummyache, she thinks.

They're fun, but would perhaps work better happening all at once so no one's left sitting. In a real life game, they'd be awesome, since they'd only take a few minutes to resolve, but PbP is a different beast. No worries, though, mate. :)
