Are there any premium adventures for 1e in foundry vtt?

I find lots for 2e and 5ed.

Are there any foundry vtt pathfinder 1e adventures?

I fonud lots of frist party for 2e but i want to play in 1e.

Are there any you would recomend?

do you have a class that you think is underrated by others?

What happens if you are stunned and then dragged into water?

Can you hold your breath?

Do any condition stop you from holding your breath?

So my character will get an improved familiar at level 7

But I don't know what to call it. Name/title

I think it should be something like.

I'm ???? the Diplomat of the Transcendental Council of the Defined Infinite,

Can change out Transcendental Council of the Defined Infinite ts the Godmind of Axis

Something that sounds extremely important.

Any ideas?

Basic character information

Elf
Elven Immunities, Keen Senses, Fey-Sighted, Fey Thoughts, and Darkvision.

Stats (4d6-3 3 times pick the best one)
Str 7
Dex 18
Con 12
Int 20
Wis 12
Cha 16

Traits
Warrior of old, Spell Dual Prodigy, Bitter (Might change this one) and Lore Seeker (Dispell magic, Grater Dispell magic, and ???)

Arcanist Twilight Sage
Level 1 Quick study and Twilight Barrier
Level 3 Potent Magic and Dimensional Slide
Level 5 Spell disruption and Counter Spell

Level 6 Familiar (Ioun Wyrd) (I Can pick Halflings FCB [House rule])
Level 7 Spell penetration and Dispel focus (pick quick study as an exploit and retrain the feat automatically [House rule 2])
Level 9 Improved Familiar (Inevitable Arbiter)[House rule 2])

Level 11 Grater Counterspell and Twilight Transfer
Level 12 Improved Counter Spell [House rule 2]
Level 13 Destructive Dispel and Counter Drain
Level 15 Parry Spell ane Grater spell disruption

Level 17 Grater Spell Penetration and Siphon spell.

So I'm going to play an optimized Dispeller. I know that they are not that strong but I think it will be fun.

I'm thinking of retraining out of Twilight Sage at level 13 when my character can fill his point pool by counter spelling.

Explanation for traits and stuff
Warrior of old, Spell Dual Prodigy
Home land Kyonin
Lived in Erages, worked at Erages Academy’s library as a bookbinder for 40 years. I studied spell dueling as well as working with all the books.

Lore Seeker
Traveled mostly by boat to Sandpoint to study old thasalonion ruins and try to learn old and forgotten spells.

Darkvision
What I tell people will be something like, I can see in the dark because I spent so much time I spent reading and working in dark libraries.

Fey-Sighted
Works like arcanist exploit to See magic for us but it's permanent. So no need to roll and keep track rounds. Don't have an explanation for this but I think it's cool and fitts for a master of the arcane arts.

Deity
Nethys god of magic and knowledge

Goals
Want to find a way to use arcane magic for healing.
Will try to collect all arcane spells in a spellbook collection. Will need 6 blessed spellbooks. (GM told me that if I finish the collection it will turn in to an artifact. Suggestions about what the artifact would do would be appreciated)

Alignment
LN (For rules purposes, We play with the loyalty system)
I think I'm bad at picking loyalties, so suggestions would be great.

Familiar
The Ioun Wyrd can turn in to the Inevitable Arbiter. I think it's fun to have a logical almost Immortal familiar. I would like it to have some quirks that make it a bit more interesting to RP with my scholarly character. Name suggestions would be amazing.

Character quirks
Obsessed with books especially spell books.

The other characters in the party
Goliath Druid
Ranger divine marksman
Kineticist Fire
Rogue Sylvan Trickster
and sometimes a Swashbuckler will join us.

I'm going to have to introduce my character to the other players and I'm usually terrible at it so this time I want to be prepared. So I want some help. How would you introduce this character?

Competitive +1 to every skill?

You grew up and were raised around fabulous sporting events, and your youth was consumed with a driving need to be better than everyone else. Any hint of a contest spurs you to your greatest heights of potential.

Benefit(s): Whenever another creature within 30 feet attempts a skill check and you attempt a check with the same skill before the start of that creature’s next turn, you gain a +1 trait bonus on your check (this includes attempting an opposed skill check against the creature).

to looks like to me, that would get +1 to almost everything. Buy just rolling after a player. Or how do you read it?

So they don't stack. How would you remove to make this combination balanced?

The closest thing to this would be hexcrafter magus I think.

If you have used this system. Did you find any problems with it?
How could you solve the problem?

One thing that could be seen as a problem is that mental stats are being boosted first.
So this could be improved by picking if you get mental or physical bonuses first.

I'm a Swedish pathfinder player and student studying product development and design.

I designed my own Pawn storage box and I'm now wondering if I should bring a similar product to market. It would help me a lot if you fill in
this survey.
(it should take 4 minutes or something. 10 questions)

If you don't want to fill it in I would like to hear, how do you store your pawns?

What problems do you have with storing pawns?

So a level 10 character can cast this with a 4 level spell.

the DC could be
10+4(Spell level)+6(Int)+2(Greater spell focus)=22
If the target tries to cast a level 5 spell the DC would be 26.

If the target is level 10 as well it would have a bonus of. 10(Level)+6(int)

So a 50% chance of making the save.

I'm guessing that the chance will stay around that at earlier or later levels.

For example. Inevitable, Arbiter has SR 13 (11+HD)

From familiar on d20pfsrd Hit Dice: For the purpose of effects related to number of Hit Dice, use the master’s character level or the familiar’s normal HD total, whichever is higher.

Would this SR increase with level?

Is there a way for a familiar to deliver stuff like Spell Disruption [Arcanist Exploit]?

Spell Disruption (Su)
"The arcanist can temporarily disrupt a spell by expending 1 point from her arcane reservoir and succeeding at a dispel check against the spell, asdispel magic. This ability suppresses a spell effect for a number of rounds equal to the arcanist’s Charisma modifier (minimum 1). If the spell affects multiple creatures, this ability only suppresses the spell for one creature. At the end of this duration, the spell resumes and the suppressed rounds do not count against its total duration. This ability can be used on unwilling targets, but the arcanist must succeed at a melee touch attack, and the target may attempt a Will saving throw to negate the effect. This ability has no effect on spells that are instantaneous or have a duration of permanent."

So there are 4 more kami's in forest of spirits (book 4 of Jade Regent)

the new kami's are
Dosojin, Fukujin, Kaminari and Suijin

what do you think they should give for abilities?

Beautiful Strike (Su): At 15th level, once per day when the order of the songbird samurai confirms a critical hit against the target of her challenge, she can declare it a beautiful strike without spending an action. The damage dealt by the attack becomes nonlethal damage, and the target must succeed at a Will save (DC = 10 + half the samurai’s class level + her Charisma modifier) or be charmed as per charm monster (caster level equals the samurai’s class level)

Once per day
VS challenged enemy
Only on a crit
Save
4 level spell

Any ideas on how to improve it or change it out for a different ability?

2 people marked this as FAQ candidate. 1 person marked this as a favorite.

The class gains flourishes at At 1st 3rd, 5th, 9th, 13th, 17th, and 20th levels.

Chrysanthemum’s Blooming has a level prerequisite of level 11.
Did the class get a flourish there before or something. Or is the level requirement wrong?

Jininsiel’s Guidance prerequisites are level 4 and then level 8 for the 2nd time. I'm guessing this is because of when the rogue gets them.

But it's still strange to have prerequisites for things and it's impossible to pick when you meat them.

4 people marked this as a favorite.

A +5 weapon can do 6 D X damage.

From my experience, it takes longer to count and is a lot less consistent then it was in PF 1.

"Vaulting Ladder (Acrobatics 3 ranks, Climb 3 ranks, or Acrobatic): You can climb the length of a ladder as part of a running jump, gaining a +4 circumstance bonus on your Acrobatics check and adding the ladder’s length to the total distance you travel with your jump. You must let go of the ladder when you jump."

Can I climb a 1000 feat ladder as my running jump?

There are 4 spell lists right now that are built from 2 essences.
For example
Arcane = material and mental
Divine = spiritual and vital

So why don't we have essence list?
So if you play a wizard it will tell you that you get access to material and mental. This would remove the need to type out all the different spell lists. Just the 4 even if you expand the spell system with a spell list that does not exist right now.

There could also be essence specific classes/archetypes. Without having to add a new spell list.

9 people marked this as a favorite.

Some of the best designed and most liked classes from my experience is 6 level casters. Magus, Inquisitor, alchemist, and bard.

So why remove something that people like and it seems that you are good at designing.

So one of the big problems with martials is that they can't do a lot outside of combat in pf 1 have they done anything to fix this?

They have increased some classes starting skill ranks. But casters seem to have more in general. The rogue gets alot more skill increases.

They have added skill feats, But materials and casters, except the rogue, gets the same amount.

So it looks like to me that martial classes have not gotten a buff outside of combat compared to casters. Except for rogues.

So one of the big problems with materials is that they can't do a lot outside of combat in pf 1 have they done anything to fix this?

Do you think that these stats are good?
Bomber 12 16 14 16 12 7
Melee 16 16 12 14 10 8
Range 14 16 10 16 12 8

Do you have any tips for alchemist players?

What feats do you recommend?

Pathfinder kingmaker (the video game). What's your party like?

what do you want to have in your party?

what ideas do you have for multiclass characters?

So I want to be able to draw a potion as a swift action.

A spring-loaded Wrist sheath could have one potion if your GM thinks that potions can fit. Mine do.

Is there an item that can fit more than one wand/potion/weapon and is a swift action to draw?

For example
Shelin is the Lady of Chrysanthemums.
Undead is the unquiet dead I think.

So I'm going to play a Samurai (Warrior Poet, Ward Speaker).

That believe in omens. But I don't know any good once.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

As a level 1 warrior poet, you gain a flourish.

You can pick Kitsune’s Mystique
"The warrior poet gains Improved Feint as a bonus feat, ignoring its prerequisites. When the warrior poet uses Spring Attack or takes a move action to move, she can attempt to feint against one creature she threatens during her movement as part of her movement."

You get
Improved Feint as a bonus feat and you can also combine a move action move with a faint. So now when you walk up to people you can feint them for free.

Bonus thing Ward Speaker might be a good archetype as well.
Replaces resolve that might be useful with a passive bonus of your choice.

this include.
10-foot enhancement bonus to base speed (speed is always good)

The ward speaker gains Catch Off-Guard and Throw Anything as bonus feats. (could be good if you don't have a weapon)

The ward speaker can speak with plants, as the speak with plants spell. (could be good)

Is there any trait guide that's up to date?

How do heal 3 act heighten?

http://aonprd.com/ArchetypeDisplay.aspx?FixedName=Samurai%20Ward%20Speaker

I fund it when I looked at archetypes that stack with warrior poet. I think it's he only archetype that stacks with it.

I think it looks cool and have some neat flavor and abilities.

order of the Songbird

At 15th level, once per day when the order of the songbird samurai confirms a critical hit against the target of her challenge, she can declare it a beautiful strike without spending an action. The damage dealt by the attack becomes nonlethal damage, and the target must succeed at a Will save (DC = 10 + half the samurai’s class level + her Charisma modifier) or be charmed as per charm monster (caster level equals the samurai’s class level)

So how will the person act after being charmed by my attack?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

http://www.aonprd.com/ArchetypeDisplay.aspx?FixedName=Samurai%20Warrior%20P oet

What it loses
medium armor, heavy armor, and shields.
mount, weapon expertise, banner, and greater banner
mounted archer and demanding challenge
and all samurai’s bonus combat feats.

Less dmg from challenge.

What it get's
Cha to AC
Flourish (Special talents that they can pick. Almost all of them are good.)
Weapon finesse and 1/2 level to damage if using str for damage. + they work with glaives, katanas, and naginatas.
Spring Attack, Improved Spring Attack and Greater Spring.

There is a flourish that will give you vital strike and it improves with level and it lets you use Vital strike during spring attack. So I think at 18 level you can make 1 Greater vital strikes against 3 different opponents.

A 1 level dip in swashbuckler would give their cha investment a little more kick. With parry and repost.

edit
order of the songbird is great as well and fits with the archetype.

My gm tells me that I'm not allowed to do it. Even if you don't like your character or if you would like to try out something else.

My first character was a dwarven paladin. It had too few reactions in a turn. At level 9 it has more kinds of reactions but no more than it can use in a turn. So I know what problems it will have.

There was also 2 paladins in the level 7 scenario one with more or less the same build as the one that my level 9 character would have.

What are your thoughts on this?
Has Paizo mentioned anything about this?

5 people marked this as a favorite.

Like a fighter might get one every level for example.

And probably most classes getting one every level.

I read thro "On the topic of Hit Points Healing -- What about Stamina?" forum post and most people there think that they should not be obligatory.

Do anyone think that it's a good thing to always need a cleric or other healing focused class in the party?

Suggestion for low-level healing spam fix.
Make the main healing out of combat. Resting let people do short 1 hour rests that heal them for 50% of the full night's rest. there could be a limit on how many times a day you can use it. I would suggest 1+con mod.

A full nights rest would be (1+2*con mod (minimum 1) )*level. (I have not tested this healing amount. It might need to be more.)

You could also get back 1 spell slot of each level limited at the same time 1+cha mod. This would make cha a stat that connects you to the magic in the world and lets you refill your magical energies with it.

A general feat could be Expert rester or something.
It makes you able to rest and get the benefits from con and cha one more time per day.

Suggestion for Cha dump stat fix.
The pool without feats would be +1 cha mod a general feat could add 2 points. This pool is only used to activate N/day abilities on items extra times or powering them up. If you are a level 10 character with a lantern of burning hands that has 1 charge per day and CL 4. You could use one point to heighten the caster level to your level. 10 in this example or you could spend one point to use the power one more time. You could also spend 3 points to cast 1 more time and heighten at the same time.

So it costs nothing to use potions and other consumables. It would be fine if you could power them up with resonance points.

The short rest could refill 1+1/2cha mod points to the pool.

Suggestion for Christmas tree effect fix.
Use the automatic bonus progression system from unchanged but update it a bit. For example, let people pick if they get mental or physical bonuses first.

I have not tested my suggestions but they are other wheys to fix the same problems. The numbers might need to change a bit.

I leveled up my character in doomsday dawn from 1 to 9.

At level 1 I had 3 types of reactions. Ancient's blood (dwarf), Shield block and Retributive strike.

And I felt like I had 2 few reactions in a turn to use my abilities. I think 2 reactions would have been the right amount. So you can block an attack or block 2 times and so on.

At level 9 I will also have Attack of opportunity and Divine ward.
So a total of 5 and I can still only use one/turn.

I can get more reactions at level 16 and 20 from fighter multiclass.

The paladin is a reactive class that doesn't have enough reactions to use half it's featured.

One fix for this could be given extra reactions based on how many reactions you can do in a turn.

1 reaction abilety = 1 reaction/turn
3 reaction abilety = 2 reaction/turn
5 reaction abilety = 3 reaction/turn
7 reaction abilety = 4 reaction/turn
and so on.

Some reactions might need to be limited to 1/turn/. Like shield of reckoning.

I have not fund any martial stuff that has different actions.

like ground smash.
30 ft line for 1 acts
25 ft cone for 2 acts
20 ft burst centered on you for 3 acts

looks like a good design space that they have not used yet.

In a different thread, people were arguing about the number of spell lists that can exist in the game.
So from what I know, spell lists are built up from 2 of the 4 essences.

Material
Mental
Spiritual
Vital

This gives us 6 different spell lists.
Material-Mental
Material-Spiritual
Material-Vital
Mental-Spiritual
Mental-Vital
Spiritual-Vital

They could easily add classes/archetypes that are super specialized in one essence.

That would give us 4 more spell lists.

So 10 in total and they only need to write the essences that have access to the spells. This can save a lot of pages in books

Witch one do you prefer?
What do you use them for?
What could they improve?
