So my character will get an improved familiar at level 7 But I don't know what to call it. Name/title I think it should be something like. I'm ???? the Diplomat of the Transcendental Council of the Defined Infinite, Can change out Transcendental Council of the Defined Infinite ts the Godmind of Axis Something that sounds extremely important. Any ideas?
Basic character information Elf
Stats (4d6-3 3 times pick the best one)
Traits
Arcanist Twilight Sage
Level 6 Familiar (Ioun Wyrd) (I Can pick Halflings FCB [House rule])
Level 11 Grater Counterspell and Twilight Transfer
Level 17 Grater Spell Penetration and Siphon spell. So I'm going to play an optimized Dispeller. I know that they are not that strong but I think it will be fun. I'm thinking of retraining out of Twilight Sage at level 13 when my character can fill his point pool by counter spelling. Explanation for traits and stuff

I'm going to have to introduce my character to the other players and I'm usually terrible at it so this time I want to be prepared. So I want some help. How would you introduce this character?
Competitive +1 to every skill? You grew up and were raised around fabulous sporting events, and your youth was consumed with a driving need to be better than everyone else. Any hint of a contest spurs you to your greatest heights of potential. Benefit(s): Whenever another creature within 30 feet attempts a skill check and you attempt a check with the same skill before the start of that creature’s next turn, you gain a +1 trait bonus on your check (this includes attempting an opposed skill check against the creature). to looks like to me, that would get +1 to almost everything. Buy just rolling after a player. Or how do you read it?
I'm a Swedish pathfinder player and student studying product development and design. I designed my own Pawn storage box and I'm now wondering if I should bring a similar product to market. It would help me a lot if you fill in
If you don't want to fill it in I would like to hear, how do you store your pawns? What problems do you have with storing pawns?
So a level 10 character can cast this with a 4 level spell. the DC could be
If the target is level 10 as well it would have a bonus of. 10(Level)+6(int) So a 50% chance of making the save. I'm guessing that the chance will stay around that at earlier or later levels.
Is there a way for a familiar to deliver stuff like Spell Disruption [Arcanist Exploit]? Spell Disruption (Su)
Beautiful Strike (Su): At 15th level, once per day when the order of the songbird samurai confirms a critical hit against the target of her challenge, she can declare it a beautiful strike without spending an action. The damage dealt by the attack becomes nonlethal damage, and the target must succeed at a Will save (DC = 10 + half the samurai’s class level + her Charisma modifier) or be charmed as per charm monster (caster level equals the samurai’s class level) Once per day
Any ideas on how to improve it or change it out for a different ability?
The class gains flourishes at At 1st 3rd, 5th, 9th, 13th, 17th, and 20th levels. Chrysanthemum’s Blooming has a level prerequisite of level 11.
Jininsiel’s Guidance prerequisites are level 4 and then level 8 for the 2nd time. I'm guessing this is because of when the rogue gets them. But it's still strange to have prerequisites for things and it's impossible to pick when you meat them.
"Vaulting Ladder (Acrobatics 3 ranks, Climb 3 ranks, or Acrobatic): You can climb the length of a ladder as part of a running jump, gaining a +4 circumstance bonus on your Acrobatics check and adding the ladder’s length to the total distance you travel with your jump. You must let go of the ladder when you jump." Can I climb a 1000 feat ladder as my running jump?
There are 4 spell lists right now that are built from 2 essences.
So why don't we have essence list?
There could also be essence specific classes/archetypes. Without having to add a new spell list.
So one of the big problems with martials is that they can't do a lot outside of combat in pf 1 have they done anything to fix this? They have increased some classes starting skill ranks. But casters seem to have more in general. The rogue gets alot more skill increases. They have added skill feats, But materials and casters, except the rogue, gets the same amount. So it looks like to me that martial classes have not gotten a buff outside of combat compared to casters. Except for rogues.
As a level 1 warrior poet, you gain a flourish. You can pick Kitsune’s Mystique
You get
Bonus thing Ward Speaker might be a good archetype as well.
this include.
The ward speaker gains Catch Off-Guard and Throw Anything as bonus feats. (could be good if you don't have a weapon) The ward speaker can speak with plants, as the speak with plants spell. (could be good)
order of the Songbird At 15th level, once per day when the order of the songbird samurai confirms a critical hit against the target of her challenge, she can declare it a beautiful strike without spending an action. The damage dealt by the attack becomes nonlethal damage, and the target must succeed at a Will save (DC = 10 + half the samurai’s class level + her Charisma modifier) or be charmed as per charm monster (caster level equals the samurai’s class level) So how will the person act after being charmed by my attack?
http://www.aonprd.com/ArchetypeDisplay.aspx?FixedName=Samurai%20Warrior%20P oet What it loses
Less dmg from challenge. What it get's
There is a flourish that will give you vital strike and it improves with level and it lets you use Vital strike during spring attack. So I think at 18 level you can make 1 Greater vital strikes against 3 different opponents. A 1 level dip in swashbuckler would give their cha investment a little more kick. With parry and repost. edit
My gm tells me that I'm not allowed to do it. Even if you don't like your character or if you would like to try out something else. My first character was a dwarven paladin. It had too few reactions in a turn. At level 9 it has more kinds of reactions but no more than it can use in a turn. So I know what problems it will have. There was also 2 paladins in the level 7 scenario one with more or less the same build as the one that my level 9 character would have. What are your thoughts on this?
Suggestion for low-level healing spam fix.
A full nights rest would be (1+2*con mod (minimum 1) )*level. (I have not tested this healing amount. It might need to be more.) You could also get back 1 spell slot of each level limited at the same time 1+cha mod. This would make cha a stat that connects you to the magic in the world and lets you refill your magical energies with it. A general feat could be Expert rester or something.
Suggestion for Cha dump stat fix.
So it costs nothing to use potions and other consumables. It would be fine if you could power them up with resonance points. The short rest could refill 1+1/2cha mod points to the pool. Suggestion for Christmas tree effect fix.
I have not tested my suggestions but they are other wheys to fix the same problems. The numbers might need to change a bit.
I leveled up my character in doomsday dawn from 1 to 9. At level 1 I had 3 types of reactions. Ancient's blood (dwarf), Shield block and Retributive strike. And I felt like I had 2 few reactions in a turn to use my abilities. I think 2 reactions would have been the right amount. So you can block an attack or block 2 times and so on. At level 9 I will also have Attack of opportunity and Divine ward.
I can get more reactions at level 16 and 20 from fighter multiclass. The paladin is a reactive class that doesn't have enough reactions to use half it's featured. One fix for this could be given extra reactions based on how many reactions you can do in a turn. 1 reaction abilety = 1 reaction/turn
Some reactions might need to be limited to 1/turn/. Like shield of reckoning.
In a different thread, people were arguing about the number of spell lists that can exist in the game.
Material
This gives us 6 different spell lists.
They could easily add classes/archetypes that are super specialized in one essence. That would give us 4 more spell lists. So 10 in total and they only need to write the essences that have access to the spells. This can save a lot of pages in books |
