Male Human Ranger 5/Hinterlander 2
![]() "We are not lost, but I do not believe we are anywhere near Bellis, or possibly even within the Stolen Lands any longer." The ranger says, as he draws and nocks an arrow to his bow. 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 Nature, to see if I might know anything about where we might be. 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (8) + 19 = 27 General Survival check, just in case it could help. ![]()
Male Human Ranger 5/Hinterlander 2
![]() Sorry, I tried posting the other day, got hit by one of the weird Paizo errors a few times, and forgot to come back to try again. Do I need to make a survival check to get us Tezekil's place? If so 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (1) + 19 = 20 Oof, hopefully since we know where we're goin and have directions, that's enough. ![]()
Male Human Ranger 5/Hinterlander 2
![]() "Of course we'll help out. Any idea where, exactly, Tenzekil lives? Apparently, this attack is his doing." Zarrin asks his old friend, as he looks around for signs of any tracks that might point them in the right direction. If I can take 10 on Survival, I will, which would be a 29. I also have profession(tracker) at +8, in case that matters. ![]()
Male Human Ranger 5/Hinterlander 2
![]() Calmly wiping the blood and gore from himself, Zarrin doesn't seem overly bothered. Now that there wasn't any immediate danger, he quickly scales up a tree for a better vantage point. 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25 Climb and 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 24 Perception. Unsure if that should get a bonus or not for being up a tree. ![]()

![]() 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16 Readied Action attack(the first spriggan that comes into view) for 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 Zarrin targets the first foe that comes through the wall of thorns with a single shot. He then fires another pair of arrows at the same enemy. 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 First attack last round for 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6, 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19 second attack last round for 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 both at the same one he shot with is readied attack. Total damage= 23 ![]()

![]() 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19 Local, 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24 Nature. Unsure which would be applicable to learn anything useful about Lady Rhoswen or Tenzekill. If either of them are human, the knowledge check gets a +4 from being Zarrin's favored enemy. "If you value your life, I would suggest you quit hiding and reveal yourself." 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 Aid Another on the good Lord, Intimidate[/ooc] Zarrin takes aim in the general direction the voice is coming from, and nocks an arrow, waiting. Readying an action to shoot an arrow, should Tenzekil reveal himself, and perform any sort of attack or hostile action. ![]()
Male Human Ranger 5/Hinterlander 2
![]() Is Bellis considered a) hinterlands and b) a forest? (doubtful the latter but possibly the former) Knowing he can't do much against swarms, Zarrin hops up on a table or similar lofty perch, and takes a steady aim with his bow. He peers around, trying to find who or whatever unleashed the bees. 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20 Perception ![]()

![]() "I have been well my old friend, and it is truly good to you so happy. We are all fond of Kailah as well. Dorin, Galadon, and I had a running bet to see how long it would take for you to get the courage to ask her hand." He wisely avoids saying anything more. He quietly takes his place among the assembled guests, sitting on the grooms side two rows from the front Unless he's a groomsman?. He has kept is weapons close at hand, as it was Nirmathai tradition for close friends of the groom to 'defend the honor' of the wedded couple, should there be any objections. This also meant that he was a bit more alert to any potential troubles, so he too hears the bees. 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20 Perception 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 Nature, roughly how many bees? ![]()

![]() Zarrin wanders into Bellis at what would be a fashionably late time for normal people. However, over the last few years, the ranger has grown less and less concerned with the trappings of civilization. He did not lose track of time nor is he unable to determine the hour. He just no longer really cares about such things. So it was that he strolled into town a few hours after midday, dressed in the greens and browns of Erastil. The stag, scared animal of Old Deadeye, is emblazoned in the center of his armor. A longbow and quiver are slung over his back, and a longsword hangs at his side. He seeks out his old friend almost immediately Unsure which of the other 4 was the leader. smiling warmly when he sees him all dressed up for the ceremony. "As my father was fond of saying, stick a fork you. You're done." Zarrin quips in good-natured jest. ![]()

![]() Any suggestions on what to take for the Favored Enemy granted by the Hinterlander PrC? ![]()
Male Human Ranger 5/Hinterlander 2
![]() Reusing this old alias. I have a couple of feats I need to pick out, and spend my gold, but otherwise he's done. In addition to my above questions, are we new players joining in after the 12 month time skip? Ie, we don't get to make use of that span for any downtime/KB activities? ![]()
Male Human Ranger 5/Hinterlander 2
![]() Just want to apologize for my lack of participation lately. I've been rather busy with trying to get into several other games, including a really amazing Dark Ages Vampire the Masquerade one. Also have some real life stuff going on, including getting ready for my friends wedding this weekend. Will try and catch up tonight and get up a reply. Sorry again for the silence/inactivity. ![]()
Male Human Ranger 5/Hinterlander 2
![]() I was under the impression we all knew each other prior to the start of this adventure, and have posted thusly. If that's not the case, it would be good to know. Also, do we actually have access to our Lord/Lady Gossamer powers? If so, several of us never got told what powers and abilities we have. ![]()
Male Human Ranger 5/Hinterlander 2
![]() Rednal pair of questions: Are we still allowed to add 3 templates to our companion creatures? Thinking of taking the Spirit Imp Binder secret which gets me a familiar. Also, would the template be applicable to my Eidolon? I would say no, but wanted to ask. Second question, I'm taking the Inveigler, which is a +1 to CR template, so I loose one class level, right? ![]()
![]() While I really want in this game, I am unsure if I can get a fully detailed background up selections are made. I have to head to bed soon, as I am getting up early to go to the Steampunk World's Fair. I have a fair amount of my ideas for the background in my head, but I lack the time to put them to the alias. I won't officially bow out, but I understand if I'm not selected due to lacking the full backstory required. ![]()
![]() Phil, important question: Would you let me take the Child of Nature trait, which is technically for those who worship Gozreh or another neutral deity, despite my worshiping Erastil? The concept behind having the trait would that my PC was blessed by the fae at birth. So despite not being a nature oriented class he'll have some cool abilities regardless. I know they *might* not be all that useful in the game, but I am willing to sacrifice some crunch for awesome fluff. I also won't be really hampering my PC with these choices, in case that's a concern. Also, this is my alias. |
