Rapier: 1d20 + 3 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 3 - 1 + 2 = 23
Regular attack, minus one for 2 strength damage, then plus 2 for flanking.
1d6 - 1 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 - 1 = -1 Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Regular damage, minus one for 2 strength damage.
CritConfirm: 1d20 + 3 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 3 - 1 + 2 = 11
1d6 - 1 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 - 1 = 4 Sneak Attack: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Fort: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Zarlonna will move forward to the angry looking creature and attack with her cold iron rapier: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 and if she hits it will be for 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1 points of damage.
If I misunderstood the darkness v. light, and I still have to roll perception and miss chance please do that for me. Otherwise I still only moved 15 feet.
Or I will just miss and it doesn't matter.
Zarlonna will proceed very slowly, taking her time and looking carefully around her, toward the man in the device, and if she gets all the way to it, will try to disable.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Disable Device: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Crap.
Zarlonna will also check for traps.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
I don't think it will take up so much length you'll need more than one, even if it takes up half the length, that's still 25 feet, and if we can't drop the last five without falling we deserve the fall damage.
Isn't a length of silk rope 50 feet? Should only need one of them if the platform is only 30 feet down.
Or it is possible since both the dark creeper and I have already gone down the passage and didn't trigger any, maybe there aren't any traps to find.
How wide is the hole, and how tall is the winch?
Zarlonna will follow it down the hall, to see where it goes.
Stealth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Int: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Uh, I can speak Aklo. What should I try to say to it? Zarlonna hesitates in the back, a bit unnerved by the erratic way the creature is acting.
At least it isn't a talking doll.
You mean those things are common? Zarlonna visibly shivers at the thought.
Zarlonna will fire another shot from her shortbow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 and will do another 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 damage if she hits.
Zarlonna will fire another shot from her shortbow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 and will do 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 damage if she hits.
Zarlonna is way too creeped out by the doll that sings, so she raises her bow and shoots at it.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 and will do 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 points of damage, plus another 1d6 ⇒ 1 if the doll is considered flat footed for the attack.
Though she may have just hit Orophin instead.
Oh! I have one of those.
Shortbow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 111d6 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
My fault, I have not been posting as much as I usually do. I'm a good solid middle ground goer.
I think we should move the barrels and see if we can find any little trap doors under them.
She tries to move one in the kitchen pantry. Str Chk: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14
Hm. Maybe someone else should try it.
Zarlonna attempts to look menacing when she makes her claim about just killing them if they don't talk.
Intimidate(Untrained): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Maybe you tell us where the loot is hidden or we proceed with killing you.
Well, that was fun, can we do that some more?
Zarlonna will open the door she's next to You said she hears a thug outside, right? and attack with her Rapier: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 that deals 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 damage if it hits.
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 for another 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1 damage if it confirms.
I don't think we should knock. Considering what happened earlier today, I think it is best if we proceed with as much silence as we can.
Zarlonna will go and check out the back porch, a bit closer to the steps.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
If these types of low rolls could expend themselves prior to combat, that would be awesome.
I don't remember seeing anything of interest when I walked around back before. But I suppose I missed something.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
I'm fine with going now. No rest for the wicked, and all that.
Zarlonna is clearly blubbering and overcome by emotion and unable to string together enough works to make a complete and logical sentence.
What kind of problem? Zarlonna asks distractedly, hoping to angle herself in the box so she gets a great view of the Opera.
Sure. I'll get some parchment and ink from the innkeeper right now. Drafts up the letter. Be quick with this, I on't want to miss any of the Opera!
Might it be realistic that in her profession, Zarlonna has made false documents for some of her more high profile clients so she knows all the requirements to make something look official. I can make a profession roll if you want.
Zarlonna apparently was off on the other side of the house wandering around to see if she can see anything in the back or on the sides.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 Left Side of the manor
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 Behind the manor
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 Right side of the manor
Then she comes back to the front in the midst of what appears to be an intense conversation between her compatriots and some random guy.
She calls out jovially to the man that looks angry at our snooping, Hello there! We are looking to get in touch with Venture-Captain Skeldon Miregrold. Have you seen him?
She pauses and then asks, We are you going to the opera tonight. Will we see you there? If you're a friend of Miregorold's maybe you can sit with us. diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
While she is out shopping, Zarlonna will inquire into more details about the opera, what is the subject matter, who will we expect to see there at the opening show, and try to find out more information about that secret lab that the missing VC had.
Gather Information: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
She's not opposed to going out in her human form to make use of her employment skills to aid in her quest for information (profession courtesan) if that will help.
I would like to add the Sleeves of Many Garments to my purchase list, then, thank you.
Zarlonna inquires of the innkeeper that gave her the room key, Does the suite come with clothes that will suit us for the Opera? I don't own any at the moment.
In the meantime, I'm going to go take a long long long bath (assuming the suite has a tub).
I was hardly finished with my first assignment and I was sent here. I'm certainly do like to keep busy, though, so I am looking forward to this next adventure. At least this one will take me out of Absalom. That place is so blah.
She shakes her head a second, Oh, if it matters, I follow Calistria, some people get weird if you follow their idea of the wrong diety, so if you have problems with Calistria we should get them resolved now.

3rd crit damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
:) Thanks for that.
Can I let him use mine? I have 3 t-shirts, I promise.
Zarlonna will go back to her bow and shoot: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 231d6 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1 at Blondy.
try crit confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 201d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
Zarlonna takes the flanked opportunity, she swings again with the morningstar: 1d20 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (17) - 1 + 2 = 18 and if she strikes will do 1d8 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4 plus 1d6 ⇒ 2 for sneak attack.
Please hit please hit please it.
It isn't like I got in your way, I've been standing in the same place since the encounter started. I can't just step back, I'm around a hard corner so I can't just 5 foot.
Zarlonna appears a momentarily stunned by the sudden appearance of a 2nd dark haired lady.
She'll then provoke an AoO from Rapier guy when she draws her morningstar to swing.
Not sure if I should roll the attack now, but here it is just in case.
morningstar: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 101d8 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
Zarlonna, pleased she hit last time, isn't quite so angry with herself this time, so she simply.
shortbow at dark hair: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 141d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
Zarlonna will take another shot: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 at the woman with the dark hair, furiously speaking under her breath, This is ridiculous, you hardly hit the imp before and now you can't shoot the broad side of a barn. Focus, Zarlonna! and hopes to hit, doing 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 damage.
Zarlonna will try to shoot again: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 at the dark haired casting chick, for 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5 damage.
It is like my rolls are getting worse and worse the more I post.
Zarlonna will shoot: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 Goth chick for 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 points of damage.
Or I will miss her entirely.
I agree with Ky'ang.
Move action. Zarlonna draws her bow and prepares arrows.
I find it hilarious.
Zarlonna takes a five foot step back and draws her bow to shoot.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 51d6 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
