Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
With the hope of finding information the Garundi steps up. Thank you for your kind words Samara. Let me go to my parents to see if I can find anything that she treasured. By the way her name is Ashia...Ashia Bonesile of Wellsbottom Zahur gives a final hug to the seer, and returns home asking his parents if Ashia had left anything behind.
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
The only spell that I can use from that list at the moment will be stone fist. Zahur returns the greetings; he is happy to see that Samara has returned safe and seems to be fine after the ordeal of the swamps. Once he has some time, and a few drinks, with both of them he asks Samara if they could go to the back to have a conversation. Once in the back, the Garund's shoulder seem to slump as if just speaking of this issue adds a completely new weight upon his shoulders. Samara, I need the help of both you and your daughter. While my family is not really ashamed of the path that my sister has taken, we do not openly talk about. It is a very sour point.
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Sorry for the long silence guys and 'gals', decided as a spur of the moment thing to go away for a long-weekend with my wife. Once having completed his initial training into mettle and magic, and resting the evening at his parents house, Zahur proceeds to the Sharkpool to meet with Swan and Samara. @Johenric: From the spellbook, once I am able to copy shield you can have it for the other spells, you can divy up between yoourself and Victoria as I am not able to use any of them.
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Johenric, Zahur wouldn't have given you the spellbook, it was more for instructive purposes that you could explain from....knowing full well how protective Wizards are of their spellbooks. Arriving at the academy, Zahur spends his time between Petoria and Vizyalesh academy; enquiring about the mixing of magic and mettle as well as asking around the acade,y again for any information about jarovich's nephew and his sister. Diplomacy (Gather Info):1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
On the following day, if not happens at the academy that is, Zahur will head to go see Swan and Samara to have his discussion with them.
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Since i'm going for magus, I'm going to have to downgrade my armour for now. But I can start saving my share for a mithral breastplate eventually. I think I will go to the academy, I need to look in the libraries and speak to some of the teachers. Some of the training that Johenric gave me made sense, but I have a few questions that he might not be able to answer. @Zyren: can I buy a spellbook at the academy for the standard price or do I need to roleplay that part?
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Were these undead wearing any armour? Did they have a semblance of sentience or did the reports seem to point that they were mindless minions? If they are the former then we should be extremely worried. For a sec I was worried that they were already going to claim Jarovicha
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Considering I'm a cavalier, you would have thought that I would have taken Knowldege(nobility) as a class skill....oups Swan and Samara:
Considering our current and past foes, I want to handle this matter as delicately as possible. I am sure with your gifts you can understand why. Zahur follows the rest of his companions to the knight. [b]Honestly Harl I don't know. I was too busy training Night and focusing on combat than to listen in the heraldry classes that were thought at the academy. Obviously I'm regretting it now.
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Zahur can't help but chuckle at Swan's response. Wow Pitr, you make a damsel forget herself. At least Swan knows what she is getting into, in comparison to your other 'acquaintances' she is way ahead in the game Once Swan collects herselfand the chosen are on the road to Karcau, Zahur readdresses her and her mother. Ladies, once we return to Karcau, may we have a discussion in personal matters? There is some sensitivty to the issue.
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Zahur nudges Pitr.
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
@Johenric: Zahur listens to you attentively as you explain, and confirms his interest in Wizardly magic. He shows you the spellbook that the group has. Look in Victoria's stat page for the spells Addresing the Wyrm. Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 As you certainly are no Wyrmling, and a wyrm of great wisdom, thank you again. I am sure we will return to you in the future in regards to our mutual foe and prospective alliance.
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
When it seems that Johenric is done with studying his spellbooks, Zahur approaches him looking over his shoulder. Johenric, it seems that magic is a force that can accomplish much. When you have the chance would you be able to teach me rudemantary knowledge of its workings. The countess seems to be very preoccupied at the moment, so I thought to come and see you. We have a few spellbooks that we have collected up until now, maybe you could teach me from these? DMZ: I thought of taking the magus black blade archetype, with my father's blade becoming sentient at the appropriate time (lvl 3 in magus class).
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Shaken out of his nightmare, Zahur quickly pats himself to ensure that there are no wounds, picks up his father's sword and does a quick surroundings check. What sulphur are you talking about your grace? I might not be well versed in the ways of magic, but I know that was no natural dream!
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Don't know if I'll get the chance to post again today as well so I'll just add my attacks for the following two rounds Having initiated his challenge to the undead, Zahur does not back down. Rnd 7 Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
Rnd 8 Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Rd 2 Having instructed his allies, Zahur charges to F2 and uses his good fortune given by the Countess while issuing a challenge to the beast. Go back to the netherworld from once you came! Attack (PA): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Damage:1d8 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 (Actually add another 4 damage here, I forgot to add the challenge bonus on top of the P.A.) Rd 3 AOO: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
On his turn:
Zyren: : Can you benefit from two allies with the Shield wall feat? For example, does Kirk get a +2 from either HArl or Zahur, or does he get a +4? I was looking at the other teamwork feats, and it specifies when you only get the benefit from one ally.
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
HP: 37/39 Drawing the heavy mace that he picked up from the cultist and his shield, Zahur moves to I7 and shouts tactical orders to his allies using his tactical kno how. Harl,Pitr,Kirk and Solaric you all have the shield wall feat for the next 5 rounds Shield Wall: Shield Wall (Combat, Teamwork)
You form a unified defense with those around you. Prerequisite: Shield Proficiency. Benefit: Whenever you are wielding a shield and are adjacent to an ally wielding a shield who also has this feat, the AC bonus from your shield increases, depending on the shield wielded by your ally. If your ally is wielding a buckler or a light shield, your shield bonus increases by +1.
You keep these bonuses even if your ally loses his shield bonus due to making a shield bash attack. If an adjacent ally with this feat uses a tower shield to grant total cover, you also benefit if an attack targeting you passes through the edge of the shield.
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Johenric wrote: Ah Harl...do you know by the way how old these catacombs are? Well Johenric, think of it this way if everything is dusty and it wasn't guarded then it must be too old to make a difference as to how old it is. Zahur joins the countess in perusing through the books to try and find any valuable information. Take 20 on Perception check -> 21
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
spellbook: The reason I'm asking is that I plan on multiclassing to Magus next level, so I want to have Zahur look into magic before he levels up. What happens when you multiclass into a casting class for you initial spells, do you still choose them or are you limited to what you have on hand?
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Zahur readjusts his armour and notes where his weaknesses were. Looking at the soldier who took his own life.
Zahur thanks the countess for her healing. At least we can trust in your magic Countess, it hasn't failed in helping us
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
I'm gonna quickly retcon alot, I know I'm gonna miss some parts, but I missed so much that I'll cover the big points.
Having stayed quiet since Karcau, Zahur seems to come alive again with renewed energy. Rnd 4 Damn you cultists! Leave the people of Karcau alone Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Confirm: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
I think with this roll, I'll just leave things as they happened ^^
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Hey guys and gals, I'm still alive and still checking the posts periodically. I'm really sorry that I havent posted anything in the past week. Once I have this proposal sent off for a contract, I promise that I will spend more time on the PBP game, I'm really enjoying the game Zyren and it is through no lack of interest that I have been silent. If my share has been to big with the ring, feel free to take it and sell it to make the share more even.
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Hey guys, sorry for the absence. Like Garabbott said, this week has been a bit crazy. I will try to post a retcon post and then a current post before end of day. It is not from not enjoying the story or anything like that, unfortunately life takes precedence over rpgs'
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Zahur had taken a cup of tea as well. You'll have to excuse me and my companions master Vintra. This disappearance of the children brings out the worst of us. We had thought to have sorted this issue in the past, and to know that it is still going on only makes us more aware of the importance of our mission. While my family's secrets may seem trivial, I can sympathize with you for your current predicament. Do not worry, unless it is absolutely necessary, we will ensure to keep it just that; a secret
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Which one was swan again? If you are fine with it, I will keep the ring that protects against those vile missiles that I seem to be a target of constantly. Otherwise, I am happy with Kirk taking the dagger and boots. As for the other ring, we could sell it as Pitr suggested or have the Countess keep it for any sort of personal business that the group may deal in. She would be 'keeper of the seal' of sorts... And from what I saw at Jarovicha with her book keeping, she may have further use for such a ring
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Retcon Gorian, it is great to see you my friend! I'm glad that the faiths have kept you safe while we were gone to Jarovicha. Ricca was amazing at helping us with the lay of the land and the Jarovichs'... Pitr would know all about legs being wide open, with his experience I'm sure they would open up like flowers for him. As they are about to leave Zahur pull Gorian to the side. [b]Gorian, you have been around Karcau and the rest of the world much longer than I have. Where could I find someone knowledgeable in the rumour mills of Karcau, as well as someone who would know more about Jarovich's nephew while he was in Karcau.[b] Present Zahur just shakes his head at the harmless banter between Pitr and Solaric.
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Zahur greets Solaric. Yes I had a nice evening with my parents, but I have had some discomforting news about my sisters relationship with Jarovich's nephew that we executed... Having given solaric a greeting return, Zahur turns back towards the foreman. Could I know who you received your orders from? It is a matter of grave importance. Do I have to roll another diplomacy?
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
His father's news hits Zahur like an ogre's club in the face. Are you certain that it was Baran? Unfortunetly he was killed in our liberation of Jarovicha. I will try to gather more information at the academy about their friendships. It might seem that I will need to return to Jarovicha. Let me find out if there is anyone in town that can send a message to an ally there. In the morning, Zahur heads to Vizyalesh to see if he can find: 1) People who knew either his sister and Baran, and if they are still in town.
Knowledge(local): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Be careful countess, I understand that there is some social kinship between you and the witches, but even though they have helped you they really do not seem like the type to be completely trusted. Agreed Solaric, we will met at the academy at 10 Once pleasentries have been said, Zahur goes to his parents for a rest. The following morning before meeting his companions he starts asking around the neighbourhood if they know any additional information on the abductions and the creatures from the sewers. Knowledge (local)1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 Ouch!
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Zahur greets the captain with a hearty hug in return. As Dumitri describes the situation his face becomes cold as stone and his fist whiten in anger. I have had it with these Ragmen! First some demented student, then a count. What next? A maiden? If there are no more clues to be found, and the people can take care of themselves , lets make haste for Karcau. On his way out the door, Zahur turns towards the captain again.
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Zahur looks at the copper ring. If you don't mind, I will take this oneThe forcecage ring; considering the amount of times that I am on the hurtful end of those damn energy missiles. Looking at the nephew a face of contempt comes to the garund. Put him in the stocks, I am sure that he public would enjoy a long lifetime humiliation for our noblest of lords. Killing him would be a mercy, make sure that he feels what he has done, and the people will have an ongoing outlet for past wrongs. Having slept in the tower last night, Zahur finds a comfy bed to finally relax in.
Male Human (Gundarian) Cavalier 4
Since Zahur was in the tower for the night, he won't comment on the discussion between Solaric and Pitr Present at the trial: I am not much of a statesman, so I will make my point short. I may be young in comparison to the people gathered here, and I have not had as many hardships as most of you. But when I saw captain Vasili fight yesterday, he was a man not only fighting for himself, but for others. He had the chance to run when we let him leave the tower. But he surprised us by organizing the militia and setting up a defence for the town...for your town. Knowing full well what might meet him afterwards. I am not saying exonerate him from his crimes, but give him a chance to repent for his actions, to show that with the right leadership, he can be a just man. With that, Zahur steps back into line to let the jury go to the castle.
