Ability score bonus every odd level still? It'll be a dex bonus for me, obviously. I was going to ask Vlad some rogue stuff, because for some reason I forgot that he'd dropped out. That will likely mean that if I do go with an archetype, I'll need to choose carefully, as we'll still someone to be able to do Roguey things...

According to the official rules, which unchained classes can take archetypes varies from class to class. Monk can't take any of the old Archetypes, but Rogue can take any of them; unless it's a house rule of yours that they cannot...

Cool. I had forgotten that particular adjustment, but it rings bells now that you mention it. The increase did nothing for me at this level anyway, so it makes little difference. I can't remember if I included it or not during my level three upgrade. I'll have to go back and check what my original stats were, if I can find them, or my level 3 level up and see if I did include the increase or not. Either way, not a big deal at this level, as it wouldn't provide a bonus until at least one more increase anyway.

Yurian scrambles to his feet, trying to kick himself free of his bedroll, and spending about as much of his effort trying to detangle himself from his blanket as he does bringing his crossbow up to bear. At some point in his shuffle, the crossbow gets pointed in the creature's general direction and goes off. The arrow sails about a yard high, and ends up evoking a distant clicking and clacking as it careens through the dark words. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Yurian lets out a little squeak as he sees the creature emerge from the water, then he yells out a warning to Xipe, in case she hadn't seen it, and probably foolishly calling attention to her in the process. He dashes forward a bit to get a better line of sight on the monster (and within the 80 ft range increment of his crossbow). 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
