Maybe we wait for Robyte to take him back to the ship, then come join up with us, and then we go see if we can buy the drift engine off the goblins?"

He keeps the call with Nik-a-Nik open. Before the zombie comes in, he starts speaking. "So, we need a shipment of necrografts, and we don't want to sell our bodies post-mortem for them. Did anybody think to get Rishae's comm address before we left? She asked us to do this, she should at least pay part of it."

I thought we were saying to change the *name* of the ship to the Menagerie. Default starship builds in Starfinder do seem to be really bad at optimizing their weapon loadouts. A Maser in the turret in place of the two weapons it came with (and upgrading the power core) sounds good to me.

Xevras glares back at the rock where they'd played turnabout with their double-crossers. "I'm half tempted to shoot a missile at it, just on the off chance it would kill the last one. I feel like we're going to end up seeing her again and not enjoying it," he growls, but he makes no move to actually follow through on his words. Once the Oliphaunt is well under way, he finally relaxes a little. "Well, at least for now we should be safe," he muses. "So, we should change the name, transponder ID, and preferably a bit of the sensor signature of the Oliphaunt before we're seen in Pact Worlds space again, if we can. That last one is going to be the hardest one, since we'll want proper dock facilities for it. Any of you have ideas for the name?" During the days traveling and laying low, Xevras alternates between working out (seemingly as much to work through his emotions as to actually get any exercise), familiarizing himself with the ship's computer systems and starting to customize them... and marking everywhere in the ship he wants the ceilings higher. It's most everywhere. Except the cargo hold and the rest of the crew's personal cabins. ******************************** Xevras looks over at the wrecked ship, but he's really thinking about Tarika. He knows not to blame her for all that happened, but it still feels more than a little odd to still be working with her. After all, even without the complicated emotional baggage, she still represents an obvious connection to their past, an uncomfortably easy way for any enemy to track their activities. On the other hand, running a ship was expensive, and making a prototype into an actual working ship was more expensive. "It sounds like the kind of job we can manage to get with no history in the business and not many living people wanting it," he says out loud. "Which at this point is probably what we have to live with." He pauses, then looks directly at Tarika. "Maybe when we're done with the business part of the day, we'll all have to go somewhere more private to catch up. We could show you around the ship?" he suggests, hoping she'll catch on to the private part.

It does make it more possible to run without a healer, but sometimes it also means Starfinder AP's are more willing to wear you down with closely-spaced combats because they expect you to snatch a ten-minute break to recover stamina here and there.

Yeah, we're turning out to be a "get the job done and get out" kind of crew, which I kind of like (even if it's a little funny for the space pirate AP :D). Hopefully it doesn't cause us too many problems. Oh yeah, on the subject of whether or not we need to recruit... I'd kind of like to stick with the crew we have, but I would be worried about healing. Since Starfinder doesn't have convenient wands of cure light wounds depending on serums for healing might get kind of expensive (I say as the biggest target in the crew). So I'd say either make sure we regularly find some healing serums or we need to recruit a healer. :D Oh, one other thought--I was remembering that Starfinder Enchanced had an enhanced version of the Technomancer. Any problem with me switching over to that version? It's not a big change, just a bit of a boost to DC's vs. constructs and a slight ability to tweak spells of a certain school.

Oh, that was easier than I thought it would be. I thought for sure Deminda would have attacked us to try to keep us from just leaving with the ship. Not complaining though. :D Let's see, Xevras is going back to leveling Technomancer now, I'll have to do the exact level-up after work. Mostly it'll be spending a feat so he has weapon specialization with Advanced Melee Weapons that will be noticeable, if I remember right. Now he just needs to pick up an actually good advanced melee weapon. :D

Xevras's growl of pain rises to a roar, that resolves into words. "Did you all THINK," he snarls as he lunges past the falling corpse of his first target towards the next, "That we would just roll over and DIE? That we hadn't NOTICED your boss SET US UP!?" He swings wildly at the next of the drow even as blood trickles down the inside of his armor from his newest injury. Axe: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

There is a reason Xevras thought getting a Soldier level was wise. :D Xevras snarls in pain even as he brings his axe down--straight on his enemy's head. Axe: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

As casually as he can, Xevras walks up next to one of the drow and while drawing his axe. On a surprise round I think moving is all he can do, but in case he can attack...

Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 9 Xevras gives Nik-a-Nik the slightest of nods, hand resting 'casually' near his axe. He glances around as he enters the room, trying to guess if there's anyone hiding in addition to the visible probably-enemies. I figure we had 10 minutes to rest and recover stamina while we were flying over, right?

"Given how likely it seems we got set up to want to take this job, I'm not very hopeful," Xevras growls. Truth be told, he was wishing to have something else to focus on than the fact that they'd likely just killed some people who were just doing their jobs to steal a ship, especially when it seemed likely that they were about to be double-crossed for the ship.

Xevras growls a wordless agreement and starts jogging towards the hangar. While Hafi's spell handled the worst of his injuries, his brain still feels foggy from his close brush with unconsciousness... or worse.

At our level almost anything that's large-sized is going to be *very* dangerous to us. Xevras rumbles a "Thanks" to Hafipaer, then takes a step back towards the door. He sticks his head and shoulders through and snaps his taclash at the anacite again. Taclash: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
