We're playing 2-13, which involves a lot of knowledge checks to recognize groups and symbols, know things, etc.

The character who succeeds at every knowledge roll I ask for? The dwarf. Who was just created. And who just emerged from a vault on Salvation's End. Who is apparently a very, very quick study.

I love Datch because she's the most fun to roleplay (behind, naturally, Zo!) and my players hate her so much. I love a good villain.

Yeah, my players had their android operative PC enter the room, ace all the engineering checks to break everything and just waltz through. In fairness, the android was level 3 or 4 playing down, but still, it was not much of a threat.

Just ran this tonight, had fun with it! Nice to have a wide variety of skill checks, I think everyone did something vital tonight which is great.

Couple of notes, just for future GMs:
- We have a four-hour timeslot and I ended up cutting things short (had the Groteans show up around setup 10) because people were doing a good amount of roleplaying the various groups
- I made paper cards to represent the vehicles, highly recommend so people know how big they are and can drive them around properly
- Practice pronouncing Nyarlothep a few times so you don't feel foolish :P

There's no grid because it's just for reference, it's not a combat map, and I presume if there were it'd be 1 square = 60 feet or something nuts. Each pillar is as far apart as the plot demands.

Traveling between pillars takes some amount of time, but not a whole setup phase (I plan to say it takes 10-15 minutes to get in the spaceship, power it up, hope the relatively short distance and land safely).

Are we expecting there to be any sort of Player's Guide for this one, either within the book itself or posted separately?

I would presume typo, I don't think there's such a thing as a Small Vesk, unless they're children, which presents other, more disturbing questions.

Edit: And if you need to find who that is, the list of VOs and their areas can be located Here. I hope that helps!

Minor note: the updated list of coordinators, I believe, lives here: http://www.organizedplayfoundation.org/encyclopedia/volunteer-coordinators/

Would we have to run in a channel on either of those servers, or could we create our own temporary server? I was thinking of doing 1-09 and having a separate channel for

First Speech is, I believe, the language of the Fey, and not tied to a planet. It'd probably just be Kiirinta but I don't have the relevant pages in front of me right now.

It does.

Per the statblock, the Captain only has ranks in Piloting, so could only really "motivate" the pilot or the gunners by making a Piloting check.

I presume it works the same as the Skittermander boon, meaning it's only "slotted" once you've earned it and it's attached to that character. I'm willing to be wrong though.

My question, to which I presume the answer is "no," but I know I'll get asked: can a player donate more credits to check more boxes?

(also, Hemlock is my new second-favorite NPC, behind a certain Ysoki)

I would say the latter, just ask them to turn it off like they do their armor.

Sangoro:
The scenario calls out that she only had the info because we did and she's hacked our systems, not because she had it first or anything, so I'm fine with it. The Society presumably takes time to mobilize forces, gather its high-level agents, get approval, wash the ships etc, while she may be faster about getting on the road because her organization is faster/hungrier/less concerned with paperwork/has less Jinsul blood on the windshields.

I love eating apples! One of my players hates apples now for some reason. Unsure why.

2-09 Spoils:
I suspect she's about to become a much more public figure, based on a recent news report I caught. The problem may not be tracking her so much as "proving that she's done anything bad."

I got the Operative to the end because at no point did they go "Hmm...perhaps we should stop touching computers???" after rolling saves constantly. I had one other a few steps down and two who were pretty much fine thanks to good rolls.

I think "other characters" is in reference to the Kiirinta you are creating, not the character who played 2-08.

Yeah, per the Primary Success Condition, as long as you complete the adventure, you earn the boon, but it can't be used until you have Reputation Level 3 and Drat That Rat on another character.

It's a level 5-8, that was definitely my reading of it. I could be wrong but I don't see a spell that will bring someone back from dust.

1) Yes
2) I would say no; in my mind, they get turned to ash by the disintegrator ray (or whatever the spheres have, I've forgotten), where the explosion is just firey death, so it wouldn't instantly disintegrate them.

Also I am fairly certain getting ashed is permadeath short of a Reincarnate spell. Relevant text from Raise Dead:
"While the spell closes mortal wounds and repairs lethal damage of most kinds, the body of the creature to be raised must be whole."

I don't think Starfinder has a True Resurrection analog, but I could be wrong.

If a player plays an adventure at a tier they don't have a character for, they can't apply the chronicle sheet until they reach the level it was played at (in this case, either level 7 or level 5, depending on the subtier).

As for that particular bit of treasure, while they do get to "claim" it, that's just flavor to my understanding, they still have to purchase any items in order to actually have them for their character.

To head off questions: 2-11 is Tier 3-6, 2-13 is Tier 1-4, per Discord comments.

Per the Society guide, players only get XP for completing at least 3 encounters, and get Fame if they complete the success condition. Based on this, I would say your absent players would get:

- 0 XP
- 0 Fame
- Credits adjusted as if they did not complete the missing two encounters, as detailed within the scenario.

The two that jumped in would get the game, just probably a different amount of credits.

That's what the rules as written say to me. That being said...this seems very strict and I might be off base?

I had him hang out in the corridor fiddling with the device until the PCs caught up to him; it seemed the simplest and it definitely feels like they're supposed to catch him. I suppose if they dawdle about it you could have him slip away but I didn't see a reason to punish them.

Any teases for the four First Seeker candidates? And will we have guidance within the scenario on personality/voice/manner/etc?

My store's got a hard 4-hour timeslot for our sessions; am I correct in thinking this is gonna be running right up against that? Considering splitting it across two weeks (which I'd only do for a Quest cause you can still get "partial credit.")
