![]() If we are going beyond core, and I stay with rogue, I will probably go unchained. I too like the Background skill system. I haven't used any other parts of unchained. With switching to non-PFS, will we get all the treasure as listed in the scenario (vs how PFS does it)? Also, is crafting now a possibility? In regards to xp, you could consider to maintain the PFS rule of leveling every 3 scenarios to keep things simple. ![]()

![]() Yeah, I got a little impatient. In retrospect, I should have just moved up and waited for things to clear up. Trying to assist the attack, Xaaven fires his bow at the creature next to Aerith but it flies past. He begin to feels weak, as the cold saps his strength. Wrapped in blankets, he sits in a chair by the tapestry to see if the lantern will open the portal. He feels the blast of cold come from it, yet he feels warmer as the affliction seems to be lifted. He stands, letting the blankets fall to the floor. "I don't think I'll be needed all of these now. I was getting worried I wouldn't be able to join you." He looks into the portal and the cold land beyond with a concerned look. He turns to Tyros. ""I really don't want to experience that cold again. ![]() As I understand the rules, you can only flank in melee. Being able to add sneak attack damage at range if within 30' would only apply if target was denied dex bonus. In retrospect, the only thing I could have done differently was to try to climb up a support beam to access the balcony to engage in melee. However, based on our rolling, that would have only sped up my demise. ![]()

![]() Admittedly, this is only the second time I've played a rogue so I'm open to suggestions. However, in addition to bad rolling, I don't think this encounter worked well for us tacticly. I was using my bow in hopes to take a few hp of off bbeg while his henchmen were dispatched. Then, the stairway didn't allow much space to get up and into a position to flank. It also didn't help that we were down to 4 players. ![]()

![]() The dice gods have not been kind to us and obviously, losing some players didn't help either. I'd be fine if we dropped PFS. If we continued as is, we wouldn't be able to use these characters outside of this scenario arc anyway. We could then play the scenarios again for PFS credit. It would also allow us to start again at the beginning of this encounter with a new group. The only issue would be to find others who are ok with that plan. I honestly would like to continue with this character concept to see where it goes. ![]()
