![]() Kel is as surprised as the girls when they arrive at the inn, but after a moment of shock, he half closes his eyes, takes a deep breath and channels his inner cat. no, he's not secretly a catfolk, just trying to emulate a feline and pretend he planned this and meant to do it. While the girls are seen to, he takes a moment to prestidigitize himself and get a glass of something strongly alcoholic - brandy or whiskey would be fine. While he sips his drink he answers any questions put to him except about the condition of the young ladies when found. Their experiences there were their own to process and reveal or not as they chose. "You're quite welcome, I'm just glad the young ladies are back among friends and soon family as well." "As for my friends, I'm sure given enough time, they might just come back on their own, but sadly, I'm afraid I'm probably going to have to go back and find them. They are resourceful, but a bit lacking in logica arcana, for the most part. I do believe with their incredible other talents they will make their way here without me in time, but I still am concerned for them. Not to mention, there is still more to learn and things to set right there, and I might miss some of the... experience." He was about to say 'fun', but truly that place was not that fun, and the girls obviously did not have fun there and he didn't want to trivialize their trauma. He sips his drink and revels in the warmth that spreads through him from it, then replies to the innkeeper further. "Thank you for the offer of a room, and when I have my companions back with me, I'm sure we will avail ourselves of that kindness. For now though, perhaps just a quick meal, doesn't have to be fancy - just something hot and hearty.. Even oatmeal or porridge would be welcome... then I should be back off to find them." ![]()

![]() Kel considers all his options, which are few in the circumstances, as he doesn't want to risk collateral damage to friends or to the 'girls' who he hasn't quite figured out yet. He casts greater angelic aspect, growing wings and surrounding himself with a holy aura that helps to protect his friends. in addition to the benefits to himself, he gains the following that help his friends as well: "Protective aura provides a +4 deflection bonus to AC and a +4 resistance bonus on saving throws against attacks made or effects created by evil creatures to anyone within 20 feet. Otherwise, it functions as a magic circle against evil and a lesser globe of invulnerability, both with a radius of 20 feet." By the map, that should put everyone within the 20' aura. ![]()

The story Glaube tells the girls seems rather dark and he frowns a bit at the ending, wondering how this might comfort these girls. not sure if that counts as a simple message, in which case a 16 succeeds, or a complex message, which requires dc 20, so not sure how to react yet ![]()

![]() Maybe one round behind? he can move and cast, while they double move each round, which puts him 1/2 round of moving behind each round for two rounds, or 1 full round behind? Either way, that's fine... or they can walk slow so I can keep up lol, but not expecting that... or if a fight breaks out before the heightened awareness, I'll rush to catch up the second round and skip that spell, with just the shield plus my long term buffs up (like mage armor and the heroes' feast) |
