Male Troll Street Samurai

I apologize for my absence. Things have gotten pretty busy for me, and I've found that the pbp's feel more like a chore than fun these days, so I'm going to bow out. Winston was fairly hurt anyhow, so maybe we can just assume he took a nasty head shot, and the rest of the team can carry on without him. Sorry, good luck with this.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Burst at the cybered ganger, assuming he's still firing or the second one if he isn't

9d6 (skill+att) +2 smartlink, -1 wound, -1 recoil= 9d6

9d6.hits(5)=4

5P+ 2DV for burst+4 hits = 11P total

AP -1.

He doesn't bother using a second burst this turn, since it will likely be a waste of ammo due to the recoil penalties and mods for switching targets.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Reaction opposed against attack 4d6.hits(5)=0

Damage Resistance -Body 7 +Lined Coat 6, -1 AP (I assume):
12d6.hits(5)=3

Winston has take 2P damage from the attack.

He groans from the gunfire, and lets loose another burst

Male Troll Street Samurai

Init 8d6.hits(5)=4

Initiative = 12

Winston will fire another burst at the cybered ganger if need be. His second burst will be at the ganger beside the cybered one. If the cybered one went down from his first burst than he'll use his round to take out the non cybered one.

Is someone dealing with that mage!? Winston shouts over the tatter of his SMG.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Winston leaps out of the passenger door of the van, and using the van door for cover, he fires on the cybered ganger. His cybereyes are in lowlight mode and his vision mag zooms in on his target while his smartlink crosshairs find their mark. He unleashes a quick burst.

[ooc] I don't think I have any real penalties with my first burst because of my vision magnification, lowlight vision and recoil compensation]

burst 1 11d6.hits(5)=5

I assumed that we'd need to roll for initiative before doing much more than that.

Male Troll Street Samurai

We need to deal with the drone before we do anything. Those buggers can really f~#! you up if they get the drop on you. Skull crusha if you can get a visual on it take it out with your alpha. I don't think my Ingram will likely have the range for it. Chance you can deal with the rager mage and I'll take out the other two, which includes the cybered one. If we can all do that fast and fairly quietly we should be in okay shape.

Male Troll Street Samurai

I want to be on the same page as everyone else. It looks like (according to the map) there is one side rear door on the top left side of the map. It appears to be guarded by two ragers, and there are another two ragers at the other side of the building (top right of the map).

Do we know if there are any cameras monitoring the rear door? If there are we should get Neon to try to hack in and create a loop, so nothing seems out of whack when the ragers go down. Winston can take them out, but we have to make sure the ones on the other side don't trigger an alarm. Either that or Winston can head down towards the main guard booth and start chucking gernades into the area while you guys take out the door and the guards on it. Of course that is far from subtle, so we won't have much time before we have FRT teams and the like coming after us.

Thoughts?

Male Troll Street Samurai

Chance let's get those invisibility spells cast

It was not Winston driving, since the van's seating is not troll sized. He's likely occupying the back bench seat to himself and feeling rather crammed in.

Male Troll Street Samurai

I couldn't view the map through the link

Regardless, Winston is ready to go.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Thomas can you do some quick recon out on the water, just to see if there are in fact any boats out there with any hostiles that might want to move in on us?

Tarlane, any chance of getting a map to help us get a better sense of the layout of the place?

Male Troll Street Samurai

So how do we want to do this? What kind of gernades you got Skullcrusha? Maybe Chance could turns the two of us invisible. I could cover you. We move in. Toss in some bang bang on the guards- non lethal if possible and then it's go time.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Thomas did you notice any astral activity?

Male Troll Street Samurai

GM

Spoiler:
Winston has vision magnification, and recording, so he records all this so that he can play it for the team, and he zooms in on whatever is small by the shack to try to get a good look at it. He does this quickly, just after he's done a quick sweep. He also tries to zoom in on the guards too.

Two more visual perception checks: url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2249034/]8d6.hits(5)=2, 8d6.hits(5)=3[/url]

Male Troll Street Samurai

Perception tests: Winston has both thermo and lowlight. 8d6.hits(5)=2, 8d6.hits(5)=2

Male Troll Street Samurai

Chance, as we get near the place. I think you should go astral and quickly scope it out. See how things are looking tonight. Do you have any magic that can get us close to the guards without them seeing us? We'll need to take them down quick before they trigger any alarms. Neon if there's a way you can monitor for that sort of thing it would be helpful.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Let's get this show on the road then.

Winston transfers her 500.

I'm happy to fast forward to the run now.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Cheers Delsa. I trust your work. I only need it to run tonight. We'll likely drive it into the barrens and torch it later anyhow.

How much?

Male Troll Street Samurai

Presumably we all move out to go collect our new wheels. For now Winston is riding his bike, and perhaps he can take someone on the back so that person can drive the van back.

Male Troll Street Samurai

I was just waiting for news on the van, and then I'm ready to move on to the run.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Call me back if you think you can pull it off, and when you have an idea of cost. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money, but I need something that won't break down on me for at least a couple of days, and nothing that Lonestar is looking for.

Winston is happy to wait and see about the Van. If it doesn't work out, we'll go it with what we've got.

Male Troll Street Samurai

I need it in the next few hours if possible.

I've got a friend who is a mechanic. She's a crusty dwarf, but she might be able to come up with something. She has a garage near Sea Tac air port, which isn't terribly far from here.

Winston gives Delsa a call to see if she can hook them up with a van in short order.

Male Troll Street Samurai

I'm not that kind of Troll. I'm a professional; I don't mix business and pleasure. I might take you up on the offer if we make it through this. One question. What are we doing after the run? Are we splitting up or trying to stick together? We don't have a good getaway vehicle, so that could be an issue.

Male Troll Street Samurai

3d6.hits(5)=1

Male Troll Street Samurai

If we call in LoneStar we run the risk of them sending in a mage in astral form to do recon, and the mage could be there in seconds not minutes. The same goes for any surveillance drones they have in the area. That could make it very hard to get away without being followed, and then later on when we're holed up and think we've made a clean getaway we suddenly find a SWAT team at our door. If we do call in Lone Star we want to be well on our way out of there first.

Male Troll Street Samurai

"We'll have to be on guard then. So now that we're all geared up and ready to go, what are you all thinking for the final assault plan?"

Forgot to mention it, but Winston also picked up some cans of spray paint

Male Troll Street Samurai

Yes, Thomas tell us what you know.

Male Troll Street Samurai

I'm good to go. I got my Colt and my Ingram. I've also brought my mini welder, wire cutters, mono chainsaw, auto lock picker, Gas mask, and a couple of trauma patches. No explosives though. I thought I'd leave the demolitions up to you.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Etiquette Test: 8d6.hits(5)=4

Male Troll Street Samurai

does it count as negotiation or street etiquette because I get extra die for those

Male Troll Street Samurai

We've all got some private business to talk before we indulge in any of those pleasures mam, and we'd like a quiet room where we won't be disturbed until we want to be.

Male Troll Street Samurai

No worries mam. We're good for it.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Winston follows Crusha in and takes in the surroundings recording on his cyberyes, downloading to Commlink and feeding the data to Rick's Comm.

Male Troll Street Samurai

I'm still good with it. However, it does help when all players post consistently. But I find most pbp's seem to have some people that post more consistently than others.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Winston's not sure if it's cool to bring sacks of guns and other breaking and entering type gear into the bar, so he leaves his stuff on his bike for now.

He then walks into the bar.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Winston rolls in at the scheduled time. He sees Crusha in the small parking area and greets him.

Ready to do this Crusha? he says as he eyes the establishment and his general surroundings.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Winston sends out a text to meet around 2 in the afternoon. That's when he rolls in. Most of his bulkier gear is stored on the secure side bins attached to the sides of his motorbike.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Security can be tight downtown, and I've got plenty of gear that I don't feel like bringing that way. Let's meet in Tacoma. There's a quiet place called (gm could you fill in a name for me) that has a nice back room and respects people's privacy.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Winston's ready to meet with the group again and get things going whenever every else is ready.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Spoiler:
Get what you can by this evening. If you find out more down the road, I'd still be interested.

Tarlane

Spoiler:
Well can you do me a favor and dig into it a little deeper. You know people I don't that might know more than what you've heard in passing. I can make it worth your while. I just ask that you do it discreetly, and if anyone asks don't mention my name. What do you say?

Male Troll Street Samurai

Tarlane

Spoiler:
Winston doens't go home. He heads to Bellevue's Newcastle neighbourhood, which isn't too far from Redmond (where his home is) and he rents a cheap hotel room for the night (one he knows doesn't mind renting to trogs) He sleeps with his gun under his pillow. Before going to sleep he e-mails Dr. Bob (his street doc) about MetrX, as this is the only contact he can think of that might know anything. He says he'll make it worth his while if he can come up with any good info.

Assuming his sleep passes well, he wakes up the next morning around eight and heads for a greasy diner for a big breakfast.

Male Troll Street Samurai

It's true, I have not been to either Texas or Sam's Club. I thought he was going to bake us some spicy cookies

Male Troll Street Samurai

I don't think I've ever seen any kind of hot sauce in anything close to a 1 gallon container, but who knows what the future will hold.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Sounds good. Let's meet again tomorrow afternoon. I suggest everyone look into picking up a respirator, sunglasses, a hat and maybe a can of spray paint. Of course we'll have to do our tagging on the pavement outside if we're burning the place down. Just remember the star and the corps don't like arson. We're stepping it well up from a mere break in if we blow the place up.

Male Troll Street Samurai

That's why we'll wear respirators. We also don't need to be there when the main explosions go off. In fact, I'd rather not be there at that point, and isn't this place more pharmasuticals than chemicals?

Male Troll Street Samurai

I like Skullcrusha's plan. It's straight forward. However, we should make it look like we were there for sabotage and destruction of property. We don't want them to suspect we were trying to steal anything. I suggest we use some spray paint to leave some eco terrrorist type messages on the place. Maybe we should even burn the place down. Neon could do the same thing in their network. Neon will need to monitor for any sign of alarms or communications to Lone Star or the like. The on sight personal doesn't sound like a huge problem, but if an FRT team shows up we could be in big trouble. I also don't like killing when it ain't necessary. We should try to take the guards out without killing them.

Male Troll Street Samurai

Wouldn't it be easier just to adjust the contracts in security corp data base so that it looks like Metrx cut back on their security and decided to cancel the third shift? Then we wouldn't have any guards to worry about at all and we wouldn't have to get disguises. Of course the problem with that one is that is might look more suspicious, and it wouldn't give us some of the clearances we might need.

Male Troll Street Samurai

What do you have in mind Spider?

Male Troll Street Samurai

Did you get a look at the guy?
