Congratulations to those selected, unfortunately for myself I didn't finish in time, but that will not stop me from developing my character.


I was rooting for all three of you, been watching this from the beginning but couldn't think of anything to submit in the end.

"I'm not entirely sure what these mites are either, perhaps they are giant termites?" Winifred says while looking around.

Noted as well, I will say that I have had less time to post recently however due to getting a job at Walmart.

I have not lost interest, but I would understand if I was taken off so that things could move quicker.

"What can you tell us about these thieves?" Winifred asks in common more so the rest of her party could understand then anything.

"Turk juk, Yark." Winifred responds in draconic as she moves to follow the Kobold.

"Well, they seem friendly enough." Winifred says before adding, "He wants us to follow him to meet the shaman, probably their leader."

Winifred looks at Cappi, "That is fairly hard to believe, how would you know, have you ever tried it?" She responds to his comment with a bit of sarcasm. "I think we should move on, and either continue along the river, or find another place to cross if we decide to do so."

"Well, do we have to call the exploration complete before moving on, could we not simply mark the location and come back when we feel we are ready to take this on?"

"I don't see why we couldn't bring him the Stag Lord." Winifred offers her opinion on the matter, "But if you'd rather look for another place to cross, that would work as well I suppose."

"The Stag Lord? Our compatriots are on their way to deal with him now." Winifred says, moving to behind the others as she does.

"Well, the sign says to ring the bell, even though the bridge is not there, it couldn't hurt to try ringing the bell." Winifred says, perhaps stating the obvious as she moves up to examine the bell, and should there be nothing wrong with it, ring it.

Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Not that I would know if anything was wrong with the bell.

Winifred nods, taking the wand from Castor, "It's a shame I don't require a spellbook however, this is bound to have belonged to someone at one point, but judging by the damage to the spellbook, whomever it belonged to is long gone."

More exploration wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, and as we have trouble locating the kobolds, they can't be causing too much trouble just yet.

Any of those sound good, we could head for C13 first and then follow that river.

"Kobolds, like many creatures tend to dwell near water, we should limit our search to locations in the Kamelands near water." Winifred explains to the others.

Just so we can say that everyone else knows.

Reading the sootscale unrest request on the wiki leads me to believe that the kobolds are actually in the F or G range, since it says they are in the kamelands and may end up being an issue to our southern border, the word kamelands is written on the last row. C1 is really far away, how about C7 or C9, also, which square is the other group leading to?

Knowledge Local: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 Will that help with any information regarding the Kamelands or the sootscale tribe?

Since resources can go unpaid for now, Winifred will generate 7 Magic instead.

Can I generate it with spellcraft, knowledge (arcana), or Linguistics then (They are all the same modifier, +7), if not then I will simply use my diplomacy rolls for something else. I understand why I cannot use diplomacy at this time for generating magic, as diplomacy may be getting someone else to do it for me.

The reasons for stockpiling magic if anyone is curious: Magic can be used to cover the cost for researching spells and crafting magical items. Additionally it is needed for several key buildings.

Sounds good, but I may be forced to change the outcome of my downtime rolls to avoid going into debt in that case, magic resources are expensive, but it is the one that it makes the most sense for me to stockpile.

Downtime rolls:
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
So let's say 4 magic, 2 Goods which will cost me 220gp. Then the 30s will earn me 3 gp each for 6 gp total, resulting in a net loss of 214gp. Taking into account Winifred's loot share so far as well as her left over gold from character creation, she will be left with 7.55gp.

Winifred will spend much of her time after arriving back at the fort conversing with others and studying, offering prayers to Aroden as she does.

I'm not really aiming towards one right now, as the ones I would be most interested in won't really suit Winifred's character or role for now. I may have to do some research to find a Prestige Class that fits, but for now the one that might fit best is unfortunately a Wizard PrC, not a sorcerer one.

There's bound to be a 3.5 PrC that fits her better however, such as Rainbow Servant from complete divine.

Winifred will naturally be taking another level in Sorcerer.

2nd Level HP: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 HP Sweet, max HP roll, I'll need it.

She will additionally gain +1 Will save, and will gain a 0-level spell I'm thinking Jolt if that's alright, otherwise, she will learn Ray of Frost.

I put ranks in each of the skills she already had a rank in, and the language she will learn from linguistics is Draconic.

Seeing Will's body going limp, Winifred screams out, "Will, hang on!" As she drops a bolt into her crossbow and fires at the over sized pest.

Crossbow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 171d8 ⇒ 6

"What could have possibly killed all of these creatures?" Winifred asks, a hint of sorrow in her voice, making sure to keep herself between the others.

Heal; Wisdom check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 And I have no idea how fresh the carcasses are.

"Appeal? There's nothing out here for miles all this open land is driving me crazy. It's bad enough having to walk for days, even worse when there is not one living soul to find at the end of the day except those that you brought with you. Not that I have an issue with any of you, but I am not used to any of this even when I would read my books it was never this quiet at home." Winifred complains, the lack of much happening in the past couple days starting to get to her.

You could always make more interesting things happen regardless of what the dice say, I am definitely starting to see issues with it for sure, but I bet you will figure something out.

As long as you don't mind that it might in time fall on you if there was another sinkhole to form while you were camping.

Winifred doesn't even know which way is north, that requires a rank in survival, so she neither cares which direction they are going, nor would she know. Since Dendarial is the only one with survival ranks, he would be the only one knowing the cardinal direction we actually head in, and could actually deceive us into going in a totally different direction.

I doubt it, but any chance a Knowledge: Arcana check could help me figure out what exactly Bokken was trying to accomplish? I know it's a longshot, but I lack Craft: Alchemy, though I can attempt Craft: Alchemy untrained it seems.
