Entering the Inn is a lean elf, almost dainty with sharp features. There is no hair on his head. He speaks intentionally, almost "at you" making two-way communication the exception. His eye contact seems to be almost looking "through" you, as if conducting some deep assessment of your intentions instead of letting you explain them.
He leans on a staff, and looks around for fellow Pathfinders.

Voron certainly isn't the diplomatic type, and he doesn't suppose the animals will listen to his lectures on Thassilonian Lore, so...
He knows that animals like it when humanoids drop food. It will certainly distract them. Sometimes they will even fight each other over it.

Fair, but your examples alluded to additional functions, not absence of function. I admit studying something apart from known or default use is the best way to open up other possibilities, so I do agree it has merit. I wonder if, while my spells are purpose-built incantations that may involve runes, you use the fundamental runes in a more raw form.
