I'm in the same boat as Darkwolf really. My fight with Alistar is really so, so I've been losing interest a lot, but hopefully things will pick up and when things settle down for me a little, I'll be happy to continue. :)

Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

As Vironus though unconscious gets eaten alive, the first bite forces the last breath of life out of the man, no doubt hitting a main artery.

Eben:
Thanks for the clarification man! Also, in the home game I run for Rise of the Runelord's, I completely forgot about Fortitude Saves for dying creatures and just had the enemies dealing double damage to paralysed or unconscious creatures, even when I announce bosses performing coup de grace's. I guess it's not a terrible mistake though!

Not in the slightest. :p

Ah okay, so are there no mechanics to grab it from another character? Disarming them would mean the weapon drops to the floor, so I was wondering if you could do it with a grapple attempt, but I don't really know.

Arbiter:
Fortitude: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Still unsure of what's happening around him, Vironus, ears bleeding heavily, slumps to the ground with a heavy thud.

Lol, he's very nearly there.

Just needs to tap Vironus and he'll have his win. Also, as for your comment Rolg about things being demoralising...what about me with my zero win count? :p

Really thinking I want to switch in my other character, but at the same time....I just want one win with Vi looool.

Ha, damn. Can't take any actions. I think this is it for me! For future reference though, how would I go about grabbing my other weapon back from an opponent wielding it?

Arbiter:
Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Dazed by the attack and heavily beaten up, the man remains still on the spot, unaware of his surroundings seemingly from the shock of sonic sound blasting through his head.

Wow, I tumbled back and forgot to roll Acrobatics. Eurgh.

The man marches fourth once more to B10 and looking pretty beaten up, takes another swing at the ape.

I should think about carrying multiple Gladius' in future. Looks like I need more if my opponents keep stealing them from me!

Arbiter:
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Attack: 20
Damage: 6

Yea, so my damage from above went through I hope and now it's an AoO on you this time!

Now with weapon in hand, the brave man steps up to the monkey as instantly as the monkey stepped back before speaking.

I'll make you regret that! he said.

Swinging his blade as the monkey draws a piece of paper, the man misses, but his second attack swings in hard as he tumbles backwards out of harms reach.

In H10

AoO: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Arbiter:
Used Step Up in his round. Means I can't 5ft step in mine.

I thought you could do it to avoid any AoO. No problem. Nah, take it. I can't do a thing without my weapons.

Acrobatics to avoid AoO for picking up his remaining weapon: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22

Give me back my weapon! says the man, as he picks up his blade and slashes out at the monkey.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22, damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

No, he simply outstretched his body as much as he could. He's not dropping those things and yea, I have a +5 on Fort, +6 on Escape Artist and +10 on Acrobatics, so I'm not escaping this. Just gonna be a long fight of me losing again sadly because you can't make any attacks while pinned which massively sucks.

Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Speaking of which....coup de grace. Bye bye!

The man freezes in place and a look of shock spreads fast through his face.

Note: Last round he rolled 19, 18 and 20.

Arbiter:
Fortitude: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

Fortitude: 24
Escape Artist: 24
Acrobatics: 30 to avoid AoO.

If that breaks him free, Vironus moves back 30 feet with nimble movement.

Fight me with your fists damn it!

Standing in I10

Having his arm wrenched around in its socket, the dual wielder desperately tries to break free, but the hold is too strong.

DAMN YOU PRIMATE!

Escape Artist: 10
Fort: 24

arbiter:
Escape Artist: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Last post from me today, as I've got a lot of work to do. See you tomorrow however. :)

In my history of Pathfinder, I haven't once been pinned before and as I understand it, I cannot move or attack other than to free myself, so that's what I must do. Shame about the failure to confirm! Also, I may as well have no AC right now. :p

If you're trying to hug me to death, I think you're succeeding. Your....grip.....i-i-isss pretty tight alright.

The Gladiator attempts to break out by forcing his arms outwards in quick motion.

Escape Artist: 18

Arbiter:
AC: 13, Escape Artist: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Hug me all you like! I have two arms you know. Vironus says while smiling.

Hoping to use this to his advantage, the man stabs his sword straight into the primates chest.

Arbiter:
Attack (accounting for the -2 to hit from the grappled condition): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26, damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Attack (confirm crit): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19, damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

AC: 17 (due to -4 to Dex from grapple)

Attack: 26
Damage: 7

Confirm crit: 19
Damage: 9

Already accounted for the -2 in my rolls. Same for the -4 Dex. :)

Yea, I just forgot to as I've posted it in every other battle. Tower Shield, Mithral Chain Shirt, two Gladius and an Amulet. I wouldn't worry, I'm losing again regardless. ;)

The man drops his shield I9 and charges the Baboon like creature, drawing both of the blades from his side as he races fourth with a strike from his left hand.

Arbiter:
Acrobatics to avoid any possible AoO's within his range: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24, Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
AC now at 17 for this round, due to -2 from Charge. Back up to 19 after.

Acrobatics: 17

Attack: 17
Damage: 9

Pretty sure that will miss. Shame on that low roll!

Just posting now. :)

Eyeing up his feral looking opponent, Vi moves cautiously towards the beast, almost certain that victory won't be within his grasp this battle.

Oooo, eeee, oooo, uh, uh!

The man chuckles to himself.

Standing in I10

Arbiter:
AC: 23

You're up. :)

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Entering the arena possibly one final time, the man with fairly long flowing hair looks around.

Can't say I'll miss this place. These warrior's are of a different breed. They're not the usual slave Gladiator's I'm used to fighting.

Looking up towards his opponent, shield in hand, he calls across the arena.

Good luck on future victories! After this fight, I'm done. There's no hope for me here.

May as well make this the last before retiring Vironus.

Haha, well not a single attack on you due to bad rolls! Congrats on your win.

Vi drops to the floor once more, in what was probably his most pathetic match yet.

Not much I can do here really. Rolling around you isn't an option thanks to Pillars! :p

Aiming at the Dwarf once more, Vironus strikes out with two attacks, seemingly now with a lack of confidence in his own abilities.

Dwarven:
It's just not my day!

The man steps backwards, hoping to remain out of the Dwarves range.

5ft step back to D10

GM:

Attack 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Attack 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Vi's HP: 11/31

Attack 1: 13
Damage: 4

Attack 2: 8
Damage: 2

Bummer, miss on both and a natural 1 on both damage rolls!

Dwarven:
Then we shall test this!

Vi drops his shield into F9, draws his blades and moves up to the Camel, taking a swipe at Bruno.

Move up to C10

Arbiter:
Acrobatics if necessary to avoid AoO: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Acrobatics to avoid AoO if necessary: 27
Attack: 16
Damage: 7

Vironus enters the arena, no longer caring to look up and please the lack of a crowd. His only concern is his opponent.

With shield in hand, he marches fourth, eyeing his opponent up.

Dwarven:
Hello! So it appears I've not won a single match, and I have doubt I'll win this one either, haha!

It appears the fighters here are a breed apart!

Dice:
Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Initiative: 7, move up to F10

Haha, not much better than you!

See you there Choon. :)

Yea we do Bruno. :-)

Sweet! Now I can fight Mr.Camel Rider!

I'll need to clarify a few actions with you in game (so as not to give my game away), but apart from that, I'm good to go. Just gotta get the A-ok from Arbiter and alsoooo CONGRATS BASHA! :p

The sound of gooey entrails can be heard squelching and popping, as the man becomes little more than a pool of blood on the dirt ridden floor of the arena once more.

No problem! I actually have a guy who might be deadly in this arena. Two in fact, but one in particular would probably work wonders. Still, I aim to get at least 1 win before sending Vi packing. I'll be here a while! :p

So Bruno, how about that Challenge match you accepted from me before the last randomisation? ;)

VICTORY TO BASHA. XD

LOL, that'll do it. 1st one hits, but second one doesn't. -13 baby!

As Vironus falls to his knee's, he has just enough strength left in him to say Now I can, before falling with a massive grin on his face.

I don't roll Fortitude saves as I have no way to come back from these things, if that's ok with you? :D

Lol, I don't even know what a@#!~#@ is! :p

Yea? And I'll keep stabbing you like an annoying wasp until you kill me every time!

The man continues laughing as he lashes out once more with both blades.

Arbiter:
Attack 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18, Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Attack 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8, Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Attack 1: 18, Damage: 5
Attack 2: 8 (miss), Damage: 3

It appears your bad rolling is brushing off on me now too!

So you can't just keep tripping every time they stand? I thought it worked as if they do their action (in this case stand), then as soon as they stand, they get knocked down again. That's how I thought trip builds worked. :/

@BASHA - Rolled twice because the first attack rolls were with a +4 for you being prone, so I rolled again without the situational bonus. Maybe it would have been easier to have just removed 4 from my rolls. I dunno, was posting from my phone, so apologies for the lack of description in my post too. :)

Heavily damaged by the first swing, Vi doesn't care. He's a man of indomitable spirit and so attacks once more with both weapons!

So what? I'll just come back to life again!

The man laughs with blood seeping out of his body, as he takes two swings at the brute, now seeing the arena as one giant game.

Arbiter:
Attack 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Attack 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Attack 1: 22, 7 damage
Attack 2: 23, 5 damage

21 damage so far. Gonna die soon but still! :p

Ohhhhh, what are you doing down there? You need to learn how to stand as well as fight!

Arbiter:
Trip AoO: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14 1d20+6 normally but vs his prone. Then attack at 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28, damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9, attack 2 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14, damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

14 to trip on you getting up, if prone your attack on vi misses, if not considered prone it hits, but if you are prone, you take 9 damage at 28 to hit and 6 damage at 14 to hit.

If you aren't back on the floor, I would have 5ft stepped towards you and attacked, although I'm pretty sure standing is a move action, meaning you can't 5ft step as well.

Anyway, attack if you're not downed again:

Arbiter:
attack at 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17, damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5, attack 2 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14, damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Attack 17, 5 damage
Attack 14, 3 damage

Ah, now there's a new issue. Not only did BASHA have a ton of HP before, but he's now big too. I will die very quickly lol.

Whoa! Okay! You beat me before and now I stand no chance! Go easy on me. I had it a bit rough from you the first time.

I'll embrace death!

Dropping his Tower Shield to his right A11, Vi charges the oversized menace, pulling out his two swords using Acrobatics to get from D10 to C10, and goes for a trip attempt.

Arbiter only:

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Trip: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

AoO against me as I don't have improved trip (please miss lol).

Acrobatics to get through your reach (CMD): 21
Trip attempt: 27

You're lucky! I technically won by default as you didn't post within 24 hours. :p

But we'll play it anyway.

You first!

Vironus stands, placing his Shield firmly in the ground.

Arbiter Only:
Total Defense: AC 29

Already posted. ;)

As Vironus enters the arena, shield in hand and blades still sheathed, he looks fourth only to see an opponent he faced once before, and one that seemingly could take all of his attacks and kill in two foul swoops.

Shouting across the arena, Vironus speaks to the man "I don't know how you can take so many hits, but needless to say, as you and I both know, this'll be over in a flash!

Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

In L10

Yup, two hits and I'm done for with you. ;)

Crosses fingers for my battle against you Bruno! :p

Sounding off!

Ready when everyone else is!

Level: 3 (unchanged LOL)

Haha, yea. There was nothing I could do when you kept closing that gap. Your attacks are more lethal than mine, and you get more of them. Fists are clearly better than cutting tools. :p

Damn that trip!

As Vi rose up to slice Zouh, with Victory seemingly in his grasp, it also turned out to be the mans undoing. Taking the damage, he slipped unconscious and dropped to the arena floor once more.

Congrats on your win. :) How bad off were you? Call it gut instinct, but I was thinking one more well placed attack would have done it. Issue was I couldn't stay on the floor as I would have been done for, so I had to get up and unfortunately, that's one AoO you can't prevent. Good game. :)

Shame you can't use Acrobatics to stand!

No sooner is he knocked down, Vi jumps up, slashing at Zouh's chest as he rises.

Attack: 20
Damage: 4

Arbiter:

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

AoO to you.

The caged bird is trying to kick your arse!

Stepping fourth, Vi yet again slashes out twice at the man!

Attack 1: 19
Damage: 8

Attack 2: 18
Damage: 4

Now in E11

Arbiter:

Attack 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Attack 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Unable to seemingly gain any advantage over the warrior, Vi takes yet another swipe and rolls back to gain distance.

Attack 1: 23
Damage: 9

Acrobatics: 20

Roll to E10

Arbiter:
Attack 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20

Although a long shot, Vi swipes you once with his sword, hoping to hit you, before rolling backwards to gain some ground.

Move with acrobatics to E13

Attack 1: 18
Damage: 9

Acrobatics: 14

Arbiter:
Attack 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14

Really hoping that hits, but I don't think it will.

Updated my above post with my attacks for this round and an update in damage to you. :)

Okay, well it's your turn. Though did you deal 1 damage or 4 to me on your critical earlier, because I'd just like a little break down if possible please, so I get my HP calculations correct. :)

5ft step to D16

Avoiding the last few hits, Vi tries to finish the man off with two final blows, swinging furiously at the guy in front of him.

Attack 1: 22
Damage: 4

Attack 2: 14
Damage: 4

Arbiter:
Attack 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Attack 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Sorry man, I messed something up. My first attack against you in the last round should do an extra 2 damage to you, as it's 1d6+3, not 1d6+1, so I've dealt 24 damage to you, including the damage from this round, as I doubt 14 hits you. :)

Dude, you've gotta say when you move towards me, else you'll be attacking thin air, like now, but I'm going to be nice and say you moved towards me to do the above attack.

Zouh is now in E17

With the Monk constantly closing in on him, Vironus takes another hit, but not before swiping out with his blades twice, before stepping backwards once more.

Attack 1: 26 (Crit range)
Damage: 5

Attack 2: 22
Damage: 7

Crit Confirmation Roll: 12 (Yea, not gonna crit)
Damage: 6

Now in C15

Arbiter:
Attack 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Attack 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Crit Confirmation Roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Taking a good amount of damage from the hits just received, the man jolts from pain, before unleashing both of his blades on his opponent, before 5ft stepping backwards.

Attack 1: 24
Damage: 6

Attack 2: MISS!
Damage: 4

In D16

Arbiter:
Had to look at the spoiler to see where Zouh moved to, as he didn't specify, but he said the crit did 4 damage when his dice says 1, so I just wanted to clarify with you. :)

Anyway, my attacks:

Attack 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Attack 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Dropping his shield, Vironus pulls out two wickedly sharp blades, that apart from a few splashes of blood, look hardly used at all.

Perhaps your death will be the first by these blades, the man says as he lashes out back at the man.

Attack: 9
Damage: 4

Arbiter:
Drop shield in E16, right next to me to my side, as a free action. Draw weapons as a move action, and attack once with my standard action.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Ha. Natural 1 for both. I think you've won already. :p
