Thanks for running, GM S! And thanks for playing, everyone else :) I wasn't sure I'd get to play this character again, but I'm happy to have been proven wrong :)

Varuthalla lets out a long breath, and pumps her fist. After savouring the moment, she gets onto comms.
"Elsebo, Jadnura, this is Strikeforce Vorpal Kickass'o. Dhurus is down - repeat, Dhurus is down!"
"...also I took the liberty of naming our Strikeforce."

Varuthalla moves and ascends to keep the demigod just within 60'.
"She's right, you know," Varuthalla says, backing up Omni. "I was there. It was ... actually the whole ordeal was quite disturbing." She punctuates her statement with another Heavy Fire.

Hey, forums are still up? Time for some action economy bullshrimp XD
Varuthalla triggers her skitterheart to get an extra Move Action, which she uses to activate her auto-injector (Which I have a Chronicle Sheet for) to inject her spell amp of Haste. Sufficiently quick, and able to move and still Full Attack, Varuthalla then zips out from behind the deactivated tower (90 ft fly speed to get +40 ft up and 45 ft away = just within 60 ft of Dhurus) and finally Heavy Fires against Dhurus!

Hopefully everything goes smoothly and we can get back here after a few days. But let's be real, the Paizo forums aren't known for being robust. I floated the idea of Discord just as a Plan B. "Not necessarily Discord, but Discord if necessary," if you will.

Hahah, aw man, a Nat 1 on the first round of combat! You hate to see it folks!
Well. Most of the time XD
Varuthalla gets down to business, trying her best to understand and crack whatever this power pylon is.
Engineering: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (19) + 21 = 40
Piloting: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (7) + 22 = 29
If this counts as a trap, lock, or door, add +4 to those rolls, from the appropriate tool kit?
GM S specifically said these are Hard checks, so I'm guessing that 29 Piloting isn't going to cut it; I'm using my t-shirt re-roll to reroll that.

"Thanks Omni. Damned leggy bastard rattled my psyche pretty well, there."
As funny as the mental image of Varuthalla chugging a six pack of "Cayden's Own" brand healing serums is, I've got more than enough ACPs Spacey-Ps to pay for spellcasting services. I assume that's possible, with most of the Society here? I'm spending the 12 Spacey-Ps to get a Regenerate cast.
Regenerate healing: 12d8 ⇒ (4, 6, 1, 8, 1, 8, 4, 8, 4, 6, 4, 3) = 57

Ah, I'm back to only using the lowest quarter of the d20, I see XD Such a shame, my damage was typo'd so good this time! Damage is only +11, not +1112 of course, so it'd be 14 + 11 = 25 E dmg, in case a 22 hits EAC.

Okay the first rule of Starfinder 1e starship combat is "never flyby. Just, never." And our dice have been terrible this encounter.
But.
But. I'm gonna flyby XD Fortune favours the bold!

"Crew, this is your pilot speaking. Prepare for high-G manoeuvres, kids!" Varuthalla says over ship's comms. You can hear the smile on her face as she says it.
Flyby DC = 15 + 1½ Blue's Tier: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (20) + 22 = 42
Edit to add: HELL YEAH! XD

For Reference:
Flyby
The ship moves as normal, but it can move through 1 hex occupied by an enemy starship without provoking a free attack (as described in Moving through Other Starships). During the following gunnery phase, you can select one arc of your starship’s weapons to fire at the enemy vessel as if the vessel were in close range (treat the range as 1 hex), against any quadrant of the enemy starship. To perform this stunt, you must succeed at a Piloting check (DC = 15 + 1-1/2 × the tier of the enemy starship). If you fail this check, your starship still moves as described above, but you follow the normal rules for attacking (based on your starship’s final position and distance), and the movement provokes a free attack from that starship as normal.

CRUSHING IT CONTINUES :D

We probably won't have a lot more Starship Combat, so: can we use our Tier 3 Mustering Rewards for Master of Stars Touchups now?
Master of Stars Touchups:
Level 1 Fitch shows the PCs some of the inner workings of the Master of Stars, which help the PCs better understand other starships. Once during the adventure, the PCs can gain a +4 bonus to any non-gunnery skill check during a starship combat.
Level 2 When using the reward above, all the PCs’ nongunnery skill checks made during the same round gain the +4 bonus.
Level 3 In place of the level 1 reward, the PCs can force the crew of an enemy ship to take a –2 penalty to all nongunnery skill checks made during the round. The use of this ability must be declared at the start of the starship combat round.

It's not listed in the Boon Tracker, but, I think we earned it? I rolled well at the time, but, I think GM S mis-understood which Mustering Task I was trying for. I tried to point it out at the time, but in all the excitement of the Special starting, think it got overlooked, and then it didn't really come up, so, I just left it. But - now I want to use it :D

Varuthalla darts forwards and up, getting +15 ft up and 35 ft from the start, drawing her grenade launcher as she goes. Seeing all of those juicy jinsuls together, she fires the Mk 4 riot grenade she prepared earlier (from Bombard fighting style.)
Grenade vs AC 5, 1 range increment out: 1d20 + 18 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 18 - 2 = 36
Non-lethal S dmg: 2d10 ⇒ (6, 8) = 14
If I target the vertex 1 square up from Red's north-west corner, I think that 20 ft blast hits all four of 'em. DC is 24, but since grenade DCs take the same penalty as any minuses to the attack, and I'm 1 range increment out, it's a DC 22 Ref Save or Staggered for them.

Varuthalla turns on her forcepack in preparation for breaking atmo, and advises the rest of the party to stay near. (As a Sylph, she can cast Space-Feather Fall Flight 1. It has literally never come up before XD)
I can't seem to add a token, but all else being equal, she'd land near Stees.

"Paradropping? Yes. Sign this sylph up."
Varuthalla is pumped for air shenanigans, but I as a player am fine with whatever:) And yay formatting back to normal!

Well, I gave up when it wouldn't let me post rapid fire, but - I am pleased to see you all succeeded so capably, where I failed <3

Posting dummy messages until we hit 50 and roll over onto a 2nd page of dialogue, or I get banned for spamming, whichever comes first?

((Yeah, maybe we just need to get to a new page for it to ... unbreak?))
Pilot Init: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (2) + 22 = 24
((A 1 on init last round, and a 2 this time. Aha, I see how this goes. Don't worry y'all, just need to hang out another 9ish rounds XD))
With Stees moving to Science, Varuthalla's skitterpal tries her best to give the engines their due! ((Divert Power to Engines))
Divert Power to Engines DC 25: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
With our new Speed of 10, Varuthalla tries to fly defensively as close to their aft as she can. ((Evade stunt))

Yeah, same here. Anything posted in the last day or two is all funky. I assume this is related to the Store / forum software update?

Ruh roh, are the forums changing over already :D Well, catch as catch can, I guess!

Seeing that our quarry doesn't seem interested in turning to fight, Varuthalla calls out over ship's intercom to Engineering. "Full power to engines - we can't let them escape!"

I'd like a Divert Power to Engines, but that's just a request. Power to Weapons, or even changing to Science Officer to Target Systems on their engines, or whatever, is fine :)

If Stees moves to Science Officer, though, I'd use the Skitterpal boon to have our makeshift Engineer Divert to Engines.

Jinsul's got a 25? (Let me know if I missed a penalty for them.)

Haha, whoops, no, I'm just bad at math XD

On that note, though - assuming we're in a Tier 10 Drake, our defenses are AC 17 and TL 16 + Varuthalla's 11 ranks in Piloting = AC 28 and TL 27, right? So their railgun's 25 should miss our AC, no?

Well, we both got 23 then? lol I'm assuming we still lose, cause I rolled a 1.
"Buckle up, Starfinders, I'm punching it! Stees, overspool the heat bleeders, I'm doing a full burn!"
Spending the Free RP characters over lvl 8 get in SSC, Varuthalla uses Full Power to move 11 hexes straight forwards, putting us right up their Aft.

Based on the Discussion, I'm using one of our re-rolls from Mustering to re-roll our Piloting Init. @GM S I dunno where the Fleets are (is that posted anywhere?) but I'm going to guess one of them is here, so we can use one of the "reroll when with Fleet" thingies?

That is my thinking too! Go ahead with that, IMO.
