Varook, almost enveloped by the enraged creature, stands his ground and strikes back with his enchanted swords. Attack (Double Slice):
Attack:
Screaming incoherent words at the barghest, the diminutive warrior moves forward and strikes at the fiend. ◆: Stride
Attack:
Varook stands as if rooted to the ground and spews forth a cacophony of nonsense words and odd sounds. Haaaa bekflksj kksd, szzzz jjkjkiilelll bwaffinter errt ka!!
Will save:
Varook also readies his weapons for what seems to be an inevitable confrontation.
Varook picks up the sword and hands it to Lenna. He then follows Raff towards the northern tunnel.
As the 'lumps' come down, Varook helps Raff open the bundles and remove anything of value. "Let's get them open quickly and get out of here before anything else drops from the roof!"

Turning to the next closest spider, Varook continues slashing the beasts with his swords. ◆Strike (Yellow)

Varook, seeing that talk is not going to work, moves forward with Omari and also strikes at one of the creatures. ◆Stride

Sounds great! Placing the striking rune on my +1 shortsword will give me 2 +1 Striking Shortswords!! Whoot!
Varook grunts at the talk of 'moving magic' and 're-enchanting' items. This is all far beyond him. All sounds good...as long as it helps us stay alive, I am all for it! Now if I had something to help me hit a little harder against some of these beasties....
"Where are these treasures that you offer us? I too would rather not fight...we should gather the items offered by Balka and leave it alone." The halfling keeps an eye on the webs for any other movement.
Varook looks at the weird creature (did it come from the wriggling area of the webs, or somewhere else?) "Hello there beastie! Come into the light and let's talk!"
Varook tries to get a better look at what is wiggling in the pouch of thick webs. He keeps his distance as he looks it over. Perception:

Still unable to close with the enemy, Varook cheers on his comrades, while keeping watch down the dark tunnel. "That a girl Leena...give her the sharp end of the stick...freeze her out Omari!! Punch her silly Raff!"
Seeing that he cannot get to the beleaguered Voz, Varook moves to secure the passageway leading off to the east.
Varook moves into the melee and stabs at the remaining enemy. ◆◆Attack (double Slice):

Seeing his allies surrounding the woman Voz, Varook take a moment to bind some of his worst wounds while catching a deep breath after his battle with the skeleton and swordsman.
The beating he is taking from the skeleton just fuels the halflings anger, as he continues to chip away at the undead monster. Double Slice

Knowing that his swords are not the best weapon to fight the skeleton, he still slashes at the beast. Double Slice

With the skeleton right before him, Varook slices at the boney monster. Double Slice

Gasping as the enemies dagger slices deep into his flesh, the diminutive warrior increases his pace of attacks hoping to overwhelm the woman. ◆ Attack (Intimidating Strike - Frightened 1)

No, I would agree...un-paralyze Raff...I am doing ok for damage at the moment...now another big hit might get me worried...but I am hoping she will be down by then!! I hope!!!!
Varook, at first, smiles at the woman as she squares off against the halfling, but suddenly turns serious as she pierces his defence. ◆◆Attack (Double Slice):

Varook rushes forward and attacks Dmiri with his swords. Move

Varook moves up behind Lenna and attempts to move as silently as possible. Stealth:
Varook watches Lenna tend to her wounds as he readies his swords. "If you fire into the room with the light on your arrow I will follow it in and perhaps we surprise whatever is in there?!"
"In the pit only the victors are remembered and mercy got you killed...but I am learning in the world things might be different.." He looks at both Omari and Lenna and gives a sad little smile.
Varook turns and begins to search the dead warriors, while muttering to himself. "Leave no enemy alive else they return with reinforcements'...that's what they told us...'kill or be killed'...'mercy is for the weak'...was it all a lie??"
Nodding, Varook agrees with Raff. "It is not the treasure that I care about, it is that worm going and gathering up his friends and coming back....or worst, setting up an ambush somewhere along our route. I say we deal with them now."

Growling in frustration, the halfling warrior once again attempts to strike the hobgoblin leader. ◆ Attack (Double slice)

Varook steps in and swings at the hobgoblin, slicing with both his swords. ◆ Attack (double slice)

Having finished off his foe, the halfling warrior rushes down from the platform and hastens to get into the fight. ◆ Stride

Now that he is on the platform, the halfling draws his swords and cuts into the half-orc. Attack(Double Slice):

Seeing the archers on the platforms behind them, the halfling sneaks towards the archers.
Stealth:
"They are a notorious mercenary group. Perhaps they threatened him?" Without any missile weapon, the little warrior draws his swords but remains beside his friend.
Varook moves forward with Lenna, and winces as she breaks the twig, but as the guards do not notice, he continues to walk forward until he gets to Raff. Society: Stealth:
Varook follows the monk into the next room and looks around with him. Perception:
Varook joins Raff in searching the room Perception:
Stretching and trying to stifle a yawn, Varook nobs his agreement with Lenna. "Let's get started on the right foot with a nice sleep and a hearty breakfast." |
