They can reach us if we can’t close! Back me up!, he says closing with one and praying that the gods are with him. Is 5ft step a move?
Will use a reaction to have shield take damage on counter attack. Shield Block

The priest closes with the ogre, then swings, then raises his shield. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24 for 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (8, 6) + 3 = 17

Val works on Bwes using a heal kit. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26… worth +2d8 unless I am mistaken. 2d8 ⇒ (7, 6) = 13 plus if relevant 2d8 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6 Then he works on himself 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16 for 2d8 ⇒ (3, 7) = 10

There was pain… then darkness… then painful light as cracked and broken ribs sucked air into his chest! Iomadae Preserve! He stands. Raises shield. And swings, desperate! Attack: 1d20 + 9 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (8) + 9 - 2 - 1 = 14 for 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (1, 1) + 3 = 5 I am out of favour with the gods it seems… But in his weakened injured and frightened state the blade bounces off the creature hide without any meaningful effect.

Past round Val will attack the remaining one with that attack. Current round Cast Healing on Bwes using Charisma slot (2 actions, somatic, verbal) The spell has a range of 30 feet. If you're healing a living creature, increase the Hit Points restored by 8. 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 Attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16 - 1 for 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (1, 4) + 3 = 8

DC5: 1d20 ⇒ 17 He’s likely dead in a few seconds so he flails into the abomination. Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20 for 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (8, 7) + 3 = 18. -1 on attack for frightened DC5: 1d20 ⇒ 17 Attack: 1d20 + 9 - 5 ⇒ (7) + 9 - 5 = 11 for 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (3, 6) + 3 = 12. -1 on attack for frightened. Move us back one square to inside the corridor so only one owlbear can get at us at a time… assuming they don’t have reach, the next step is to observe. It’s possible they aren’t hostile or there is some clue to domestication etc Back! We don’t want them doubling up on us! Into the corridor a few feet so their bulk only allows one at a time to get us!

2 or 3 actions? Am I in a position to move her back one square, then step back? Heck, you don’t get… an action to move her one sq, an action to step back one and an action to raise shield?

Tricky question… and vaguely pvp. Can I take 2 actions to push Bwes back into the tunnel like I would with an attack? Then one action to also step back? If both owlbears are in a position to attack, this is gonna get nasty REAL quick. Good tactics would be to bottleneck them and deny at least one of them getting at us

Seems I picked a great moment to come back :) Sorry, loooong days plus a chest infection Val hacks again at his foe, who was untouched by his last assault. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22 for 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (4, 4) + 3 = 11

Current map link seems to show another battle. Let's say move to engage the closest sword of strike +1: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 9 + 1 = 17 for 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (7, 1) + 3 = 11 2nd swing
Clearly he is still rattled by the earlier psychic toll he paid. Very disappointing
