Henri had seen magic before, and when his target disappeared, he knew the man was still here somewhere...so he tried to use his other senses to locate him. Based on his last known location and any sounds he might pick up, or dust moving, Henri will fire a shot where the target might be.

"OK...but even an earthquake often comes with no warning. Follow five seconds behind me. I'm going to leave a little surprise for anyone who tries to come up behind us. Once everyone is set on the plan, Henri sneaks back into the building.
He will go to the hall door that leads to the windowless room and drop a handful of caltrops, then go back to the door leading into the thug room. when his group shows up, he will poke his head through the illusory door, take a quick shot, and move out of the way! (Assuming he gets surprise, or a high init roll!)

Henri has enough info for now...so he'll back out and retreat down the street a way. He will wave down his comrades quietly and tell them what he discovered.
