Personally, I would *prefer* a game with such strict limitations. There's immense RP potential just in a human fighter. I actually have a failed (not fallen or anti-) paladin in mind that I've been wanting to spec out...

(Just to note: my home game is nearing its 100th session on Temple of Elemental Evil. We've been playing 2e with very few modifications the entire time).

@Terquem: I'm sad to hear this. I just found these PbP boards and a random wilderness crawl sounded like great fun. I still think it would be. Have you considered the Pathfinder Beginner Box or considered the Swords & Wizardry ruleset? The former is a slim and accessible version of the full PF rules, which probably lend better to PbP anyway, while the latter is like d20 lite meets 2e AD&D. I'm a fan of Fitz's modifications of S&W myself.

@Tarondor: go to blogtrottr.com, enter the URL for this campaign (http://paizo.com/campaigns/PFSDMKluddesOngoingSoulHarvestingRecruitmentFor LowLevelPFSGame), enter your email address, then select delivery frequency. It'll then ask you to choose from a number of optional feeds - you'll notice from the options provided that they're the "gameplay" and "discussion" threads from this campaign. Choose whichever you like. Once complete, Blogtrottr will email any updates to the thread you selected according to the frequency you indicated. You can do this multiple times to subscribe to the gameplay and discussion threads.

Yes, it's the poor man's RSS reader.

My comment about the DM/GM sheets should be apparent if you follow the link to the sign up sheet that DM Kludde provides at the top of this thread.

Wanted to share two tricks that I've found for monitoring recruitment, this thread and Flaxseed as well as recruitment in general:

  • Blogtrottr takes the RSS feeds from these threads and emails updates either daily or instantly.
  • Subscribe to notification updates within the DM/GM Google Sheets. In the sheet -> Tools -> Notification Rules -> choose your frequency.

Never miss an opportunity!

@DM Kludde: this looks awesome, thanks for setting it up.

I'm a total newbie to Pathfinder and PFS (though have played and DM'd AD&D and 3.5 for many years) so have a question: I just played my first PFS scenario this week, face-to-face. Can I add this character to the recruitment list or do I need a separate character dedicated to PbP?

Wow, so many recent requests for this conversion. Please send it my way as well:

KotB fits nicely into the hexcrawl that I'm building to introduce my gaming group to PF. We're currently in the final stretch of a 70+ session 2e Temple of Elemental Evil campaign.

I've been devouring E6 over the holiday and this is all really great work. Looking forward to trying it out!

The early levels are a sweet spot for my group and E6/P6 is a great way to introduce them to d20 (we're currently playing an AD&D Temple of Elemental Evil campaign. My grand plan is to mash the Beginner's Box with P6 to make the jump to Pathfinder and let them wander around in a hexcrawl.

i second freakangels (online here)

i'm not familiar with the titles you list, but two more that i whole-heartedly recommend are "fables" and "ex machina"

There should be a total of 66,584,224 being total.

actually, the answer should be 87,093.64 (or 87,094 rounding up). assuming that the 1,974 are in addition to the losses, gains, and uncertains.

here's the algebra:
21,486 = 24.67%
21,486/x = 24.67/100
where x is the total
21,486*100/24.67 = x
x = 87,093.64

this means that:
21,486 are losses
63,822.22 are gains
1,785.42 are uncertain.

[apologies for being off-topic...]
your play-by-play is excellent! i've been reading the materials and prepping some foam board tiles to run my first 3.5e dungeon bash. other than the publisher website, have you seen any other resources? do you have any suggestions or comments in general about running this system successfully?
