based on Iseph's move add a -4 to the missile shot (still hits). Ukigashk is adding the turret coilgun to his attack.

Ukigashk recognizes Iseph's intention and quickly access the firing controls for the Coilgun on the turret. In his haste he nearly issues a re-target command for the Missile, and his snap shot from the coilgun slams into the asteroid behind Lawblight sending pebbles flying from the surface.

Ukigashk brings up the control system for the missle launcher and starts tracking the Lawblight. He loses the ability to lock on to the other ship when Iseph interposes an asteroid between the two vessels.

Just curious, since we are on the verge of death... this is my first character in that position.

This is seeming to be complicated by the fact that it's a playtest character with the Chronicle going to another character.

IF we end up dead... what/how does that get resolved.

My apologies for not knowing, I have only built 3 characters and only have a whopping 4 adventures under my belt.

Ukigashk allows him self a short grunt of pleasure as the projectile from the coil gun passes through the shield and a gap in the ships hull to strike deep in the ship's internal systems.

He then sets about setting up his next shot.

Ukigashk's scaled hands seem to massage the controls of his gunners station, the turret swings into alignment and the coilgun fires, the round slamming into the Eoxian ship. it's hit even without the comp bonus, yay us!

Ukigashk notes the look of amusement in Iseph's eyes when he asks about the pilot seat. He nods to Iseph, and moves over to the main gunner station. He sets about familiarizing himself with the ship's weaponry.

Have your chapter on Starships from the CRB handy. The good news is Valen isn't trying to "accelerate" the combat so we won't need to post multiple possible actions at a time - that speeds up the combat, but it gets confusing. I'm sure Valen will assist us through the process. If you have questions ask. This will be my 4th or 5th starship combat via PbP and I am still not sure I understand it all.

You're the GM, you've done more of these than I have. I was looking at the templates differently, but I can see your interpretation as well.

Not trying to be a rules lawyer or anything, especially since I don't know all the rules well enough to even do what I need to do most of the time. :)

Quick question, a line of damage would indicate an x number of feet in a single direction. Thus only one, maybe two of us take hits. Does the skreebara do sonic damage in a line or a cone?

I don't mind being the target, I am just not sure due to our positioning that the attack emanating in a line from the skreebara would hit all three of us. Even if it is 10 feet wide.

Just interested in how this wide of an arc is included.

Ukigashk grunts as the Skrebarra lands a bit. Drawing on his connection with Entropy he toughens his scales (+1AC). He manages to pull his shield into play and align it with the Skreebara (+1AC - Move action). He then focuses his power to his sword once more and swings. His sword catches one of the crystalline plates of the creature and is deflected.

The sword ringing from the deflection, he yells,"Gah, this is the mother of all sandworms taking revenge for being connected with that slimy Jazulkama! Hit it harder, friends!"

Ukigashk growls loudly, "Watch yourselves!"

He then draws his sword at swings at the Skreebara, the blade emitting it's eerie black glow as it swings. The swing misses as the creature repositions from it's lunge at Pangea.

Sorry, I missed the new action required posts.

Ukigashk pauses and rests with AMOSU. He doesn't really need it, but he takes the time meditate and reflect on the ever moving sand and dunes.

As the group starts to move again, something puts Ukigashk on edge. He can't see or hear what would be causing his unease. But he is sure there is definitely something more sinister happening than just shifting sand on dunes.

He grumbles, "I have a bad feeling about this place."

Ukigashk dodges most of the falling crystals, but trips slightly and a few manage to hit him. The crystals burn slightly where they manage to slash him, but no worse than the mid-range toxins of some of the creatures he hunted as a youth.

Is it just me, or is there very little use to the Entropic Pool for the Vanguard at L1. The AC bonus is nice, but as the points build, there isn't much to do with them.

Or am I missing something?

Ukigashk doesn't quite get his shield around in time to deflect the onrushing skeleton. He winces slightly as the swipe of a clawed hand connects. Focusing his connection to entropy in his sword he strikes at the animated pile of bones in front of him.

Despite the lack of flesh, the slash connects with the skeleton. He then gets his shield around and ready in defense against his bony assailant.

Ukigashk sees Dr. Buse dealing with two assailants and moves to assist, hoping to split the attention of the thugs.

As he moves in he sets his shield for the thug that is oddly dressed in bright yellow, and strikes with his sword again. His sword takes on a strange glow as the strike is delivered and this time he finds a weak point the thugs armor.

Ukigashk moves forward along side D'Gavin, and lunges with his longsword. His attack deflected by the hired thugs armor.

Following the lunge he adjusts his stance to bring his shield to bear against the thug dressed in green.

As they approach the garden Ukigashk pulls his shield from his back and slips his left arm into the straps. He then carefully draws his sword and carefully moves through a very short warm up.

As large he is, he doesn't try sneaking around, but moves as carefully as he can on the approach. The structure of the station isn't that different from the ships he's lived on, but it is quite a change from the forests of Vesk-3 where he first learned to hunt. At least here he doesn't yet have a Skittermander trying to help him hunt prey.
