Twilight cast a detection spell and casually scanned the room for a few moments to see if there was any magic about. It was possible that they were being spied upon by either mundane or magical means. Their host may have left them alone to see what the group might talk about while idle.
"Lets go have a look around. I don't feel like staying cooped up in the room while waiting for someone who may or may not send for us." she said after searching the room.
She led the way to the door and had a look outside to see if there were any guards outside before heading for the main hall.

Twilight slept soundly in the comfort and opulence of the room. She woke up for her watch and took care of her morning observances to Callistria. The lack of a nice breakfast was unfortunate, but she had food in her pack.
She waited for everyone else to wake and take care of their morning routine. She was a little disappointed that they weren't sent for.
"I wonder if they are making us wait on purpose, or if the guard just forgot to mention our presence. I don't recall him saying that we were obligated to stay in this room. Perhaps we should have a look around now that we are refreshed?"

The precautions seemed prudent given what they knew of their guests.
Twilight admired the artistry and subject matter presented on the walls. "Oh, I don't know." she gave a sly smile, "I would suspect that given the opulence of this place that they would have the staff wash the bedding at least once a day. Perhaps more as needed."
She took off her footwear and ran her toes through the thick carpet before tossing her pack on one of the beds. The priestess gathered up some of the cushions and furs into a neat pile and made herself comfortable. Taking her spell book from her pack she began doing a little reading. "I can take the last watch with Mirella. I have morning prayers and studies to tend to, unless I am needed at another time?"

Twilight was very impressed with the display of opulence. "This is certainly a pleasant change from the conditions by the dock."
Upon being approached by the well appointed guards she stood up a little straighter and took the briefest of moments to compose herself, taking on the demeanor of someone more accustomed to the grandeur around her.
"We are investigating the disappearance of a person of importance who was caught on this side of the bridge when the barricades went up. He went missing shortly thereafter and thus far our search has suggested that he may have been last seen in this neighborhood. Would you be able to direct us to someone in authority who might be able to assist us?"

Leaving the dilapidated kingdom of the Emperor behind, Twilight turned to more immediate concerns.
"So what do we think, walk up to the front door and submit our request to see Neolandus, or try to find a back door?" The priestess pondered for a moment more "We could also try talking to the locals in Arkonas territory to see if there is anything useful we can find out."

"Arkonas you say. Hmmm" Twilight mulled over the information before turning to the Emperor "You aren't on particularly good terms with the Arkonas, are you? As the game progressed, Twilight continued to take advantage of Whisper's order to defend her. Moving about the field she put herself in positions where the wolf was compelled to attack opponents as the other team tried to assault the priestess. Its true that she took a knock or two, but with the speed at which the others were either incapacitating the other players and scoring goals she knew the game would end fairly quickly.

Twilight thought quickly as the competition commenced. She wouldn't be of much help to anyone herself, but watching Whisper lunge at the bruiser that tried to get past her gave her an idea.
Dashing North past the thug she tried to position herself, or more correctly Whisper, between the central and Eastern opponents and Mirela in an attempt to give the huntress a little bit of cover.
Moving 20'North and hoping that Whisper follows putting both of us somewhat between Mirella and the center and right hand guards to get in their way.

Twilight shook her head "This is ridiculous. If we are set on doing this then so be it." she muttered unhappily.

While being brought to meet the Emperor certainly had the potential to open up some opportunities, Twilight wasn't pleased with ending up in the middle of his domain.

She addressed the leader of the group "We're just looking for a place to hole up until this..." she waved her hand dismissively in the general direction of the Maiden's and the walled bridges "resolves itself. I wonder if they are watching this house even now, waiting to see if Amin was inclined to try and find his master and follow him?" The keen half elf paused for a moment in thought. "Could Whisper track Orsini? Maybe not from here to the docks considering the time, but we do have plenty of his stuff here for scent. It took a few moments before Twilight recognized the young man. She smiled warmly and got him a chair to sit down before the questions started.
Poking about for a drink to offer him she inquired "red armour with bug heads? That doesn't sound like the Grey Maidens. Could the queen have another private division of spies and assassins? Maidens for muscle work and bug heads for subtler missions?"
Finding a bottle she uncorked it and poured Amin a glass. "You escaped with the maestro that night. Why did you part ways? Did he mention where he was going or what he was going to do?"

Twilight's eyes sparkled, finding such secrets tantalized the Callistrian. "I agree, we should take these for now before anyone else finds them. In fact, Orsini's secret will be more secure since if we are caught with these items we will end up the ones linked to Blackjack."
"I am good with talking to House Arkona and seeing if they know anything more about Orsini's disappearance or who else might be looking for him. But we still need to be cautious. Stepping into the room and moving to the corner to cast detect magic and begin concentrating to locate magical auras within 60'. The spell can penetrate barriers, but 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt blocks it.

Twilight smiled at the guards as she walked by.
"It is unfortunate news, but good to know ahead of time." she remarked when out of earshot of the guards. "Though I do wonder if Queen had one of her agents set the fire out of spite for his criticism of her rule." A small smile crept across her lips. If it was the Queen it was an admirable move, one that she could respect.
Twilight had never seen these uniforms before. She had grown up in a well to do family and then attended the Acadamae so she never had cause to frequent the streets of Old Korvosa.
"Let's introduce ourselves. Allies that know the area and the situation would be valuable." The priestess gave a sly grin "And if they are up to something shady, it would be better if we could get an idea about what they were doing, right?"
"It sounds like we are in agreement then. Whoever holds the fort is likely the strongest power here right now. It would be good to find out who they are and whether they are friend or not. Lets go"
As the group proceeded on their way, Twilight placed a hand on Nargun's shoulder. "Remember that your thirst for vengeance shouldn't come at the cost of your own life. The wasp is Callistria's symbol because unlike the bee that will give its life to defeat a foe, the wasp inflicts her pain, delivers her venom and lives to continue tormenting her enemies.
Pursue your passions, and though they may take your life you should never be seeking to lose your life.
Twilight was dressed in simple peasant's garb, but one that was cleverly constructed with many hidden pockets in which she could covertly stash her collection of wands. She did try to remain hidden, however her skills lay more in being overlooked than unseen.
"That is an interesting question Artegall. I could understand some people still being loyal to the old King and taking exception to the Queen's ascension, but Emperor? Curious."

However, I would still like to use the river route since it is an option. Yes we could walk across a bridge to get in, but if we wanted to leave for whatever reason I would like to avoid the chance that someone on this side remembers seeing us cross the bridge into Old Korvosa and start wondering how we got back.
It might also be to our benefit if the Queen and her agents didn't know we went into the Old City and start to wonder why."

As for anything we might encounter, we've dealt with sharks and worse before. I'm confident that we can handle anything else we might find down there. But even so, Artegall's suggestion about disguises still sounds like a good plan on the other side. At least try to keep a low profile in case the Queen has informants. And let us not forget that the insane jester eluded us by escaping across the bridge."

Twilight knelt in the dim light of the little chapel. Sweet smoke curled lazily into the already hazy air from a pair of gold braziers and the quiet sounds of divine indulgence could be heard in the background.
Set upon the altar before her was Twilight's holy symbol, infused with the power of both the arcane and divine. An attribute that she was about to attempt to emulate in herself. In front of her to her right in the position of honor was Callistria's holy text, open to a page outlining a prayer to sooth wounds. On her left was placed her arcane tome, open to a page with the formulae to weave the magic of mortals into a protective force.
Taking a deep breath of the scented air she readied herself for what was certain to be an arduous and taxing ritual. She began a lengthy litany to Callistria that spiritually attuned the priestess and reaffirmed her commitment to the goals and ideals of the goddess. At the same time twilight began a series of mental exercises taught at the Acadamae to the advanced students. The exercises ordered one's thoughts and prepared one's mind to hold the more complex theorems and patterns required of advance spells.
Attempting both of these rituals in tandem required immense concentration and discipline. Twilight's head throbbed as the exertion taxed her, but she had prepared herself for this moment for a year or more now and she pushed onward. After what seemed like an eternity she was ready.
Turning to her arcane grimoir, she began the process of committing the mage armour spell to memory. However, instead of the cold, rational mental constructs and symbology used by the Acadamae to bend the laws of nature to their desired ends, Twilight implored Callistria for the divine power that would form the base of the spell. Then using her Acadamae training and the strength of her convictions to her goddess, the priestess slowly shaped the power with her will into the semblance of a mage armour spell.
It took significantly more effort than building the construct from arcane power, but it was done none the less. Buoyed by her initial success, Twilight then turned her attention to her prayer book. Healing with arcane power would be the final challenge. She knew that the divine magic infused the subject with positive energy which invigorated living flesh causing it to rapidly heal. Taking this knowledge she began to construct an arcane conjuration that could mimic the infusion of positive energy. It was difficult putting together a spell with logic and rules what was easily done with passion and faith, but again after a significant amount of time and effort the incantation came together in her mind.
Sweating and breathing heavily from the intense mental exertion Twilght smiled in triumph. She had finally proven her theories possible and was now in command of both the magics of the Gods and mortals with the ability to use them interchangeably as she desired.
She cast the divine mage armor and was bathed momentarily in warm yellow light and a lingering feeling of arousal that quickly faded leaving behind the magical barrier of force she was accustomed to. Next a quick stick with her dagger to draw blood from her hand. Twilight then uttered the incantation for the arcane cure spell and watched with satisfaction at the blue glow that surrounded the wound and sealing it, all while devoid of Callistria's customary warmth and excitement.
Twilight's transition into a mystic theurge was complete.

For the headbands Twilight could use either, but since MIrella uses wisdom specifically I would suggest the intellect for Twilight.
Twilight will take the spellbook
There are two con belts? Wouldn't those be good on Artegall and Nargun (unless they already have one) Otherwise I have no qualms about taking one.
We are all good with selling the silver covered hands and holy symbol of Urgathoa? If so, Twilight will offer that she might know a potential buyer for the holy symbol but elaborates no further.
The ring of protection would probably be good on Artegall.
I could also use the cloak +1 if nobody takes it.
I thought the ring of jumping was +20, but its only +5 =(. I'm not opposed to using it and handing it off is someone else needs it.
