Sorry, I thought you already resolved that action - it will be the action for my next turn then

Treskan takes a single step back, hoping he gets the direction right and the leg of that walker might provide a little cover, then he starts his short but victorious struggle with that bantha[censored] of a helmet Damage:4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 4, 3) = 17
male Human (Corellian)/ Smoothtalking , somewhat ambitious entrepeneur/ Classy Smuggler / Sergeant (Supply Officer)[ Perception 3D+2]
Suddenly the air between Treskan and the imperial officer is filled with a fine but dense mist. As his adversary seems to be awfully cool minded, he knows that he will not be distracted for long - one shoot might miss him through the mist, for the next he better finds better cover.

Considering there is still a manned AT-ST a few feet behind him that might join the shooting at him, Treskan tries desperatly to get to some cover...possibly behind that pesky walker. As distraction worked [sarkasm] that well, Treskan hits the release at the flame extinguisheing device so conveniantly attached to his belt, then tries to dodge and run for more cover. If I see that correctly, that leaves me with 2D+1 for dodge...so I spend tw Character Points Dodge:4d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 3, 3, 5) + 1 = 15

As perception is used for hide, sneak and and con, and what I tried is neither but close to those skills, I used perception instead. Dexterity:2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 6) + 2 = 12Con5d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 6, 2, 3, 3) + 2 = 22 As it isn't quite that important where the heat pod rolls as long as the troopers see it, I guess it wass more or less successful

As the Ewoks horns of war echo through the forest, Treskan suddenly realizes that keeping to wear that uniform will might get him into more troubles...at least his squad knows he had donned the enemies uniform...those maniac bearlings...not so much Luckily Leia takes out one of the enemy drivers...now or never, that uniform might beuseful one last time... Treskan changes heading straight to the now unmanned walker

Heck, I kind of loved that plan, too. Alas, 12m are a bit far for that stunt, so all we can do is drink to chances lost. Treskan tries to get even more distracting stuff happening. 'Palming one of his heat pods and subtly rolling it between the two troopers at his side.

Another look at the tree line, oh my...this doesn't seem like a good time for improvised infiltration, especially if the rest of the sniper doesn't know which trooper he shouldn't smoke...the old 'oh look, a grenade' trick...just without a real grenade...I am not that fast...still, might use a grenade later in that trick... When Vashh mentiones his name, Treskan tries to remember which side of the bunker he was supposed to get position and slightly nodds, hoping he catces that. Just judging from the position of the forest edge: is there a chance Trescan could, if he drops (without them noticing) a heat pod and yells 'grenade', jump for cover and reach the forest before the Stormtroopers at his side stop just reacting and start thinking again? When in cover, he might use a real grenade to get the the whole kaboom started.

Did Skywalker betray us? Or...did the Empire con us? An irresitable target, a playfield hard to overlook but good to prepare, Splitting up targets? That is nearly perfect...I almost wan't to meet the mastermind behind it How far from the treeline am I?

As long as they are outside the bunker (and I am pretty sure Vash and M1-Da5 are)when most of the imperials are inside the bunker, I have a chance to regroup with them, provided I manage to stay outside.

For an isntance, Treskans heart sinks as one of the imperials looks at him a bit too long to be comfortable. Damn those visors...no way to tell if he recognized him...or if Treskan should have recognized him.

Remembering he still wears the uniform they took from that scout trooper, Treskan tries to keep away from the first wave of Imperial troops, gradually starting to walk with a limp and look a bit dazed, while trying to wrap his mind around the situation he has been put into.

While this link contains totally cool stuff (as you can see on my character sheet...) it doesn't really answer my question - you will probably need to make it up ;-). The core rules indicate that there are quality differences in recording rods, yet they only give one price and one description. Since my character has...somewhat different needs for this stuff, the standard quality might not be enough. What I would like to have is a Recording Rod with a really crisp sound - lifelike enough to fool someone hearing the recording over a com or even without secondary transmission over a distance of a few feet - so I wan't to have a better than usual quality and I asked if I could obtain them, paying more credits.

Treskan takes his time o check the datapad again, not really focussing on what he reads while he desperatly tries to think of some ways to 'con'this mission as a safe and good idea...at least to himself.

Set to go - two (hopefully not to dumb) questions: The Armor +1/-1 or +1D/-1D? Recording rods are hinted to exist in different qualities. To be con-material, mine should be able to make mostly life-like recordings. Is that possible? How much more would they cost (I have doubled the price from the cor rules).

Won't be able to finish the equipment in time (it's 1:35am here :-/) but I think it won't matter that much if I finish that up during the first few days of playing. I have no issue with Baronsquee's ides.

This is a draft of Treskan Orask, still lacking some details as well as a proper character sheet and equipment, unfortunatly it is the best I can do today (and apart from the equipment he should be in a playable state.
Rough draft of the background:
Treskan Orask
Born and raised on Corellia with the typical (or even more) suave manners and appearance but lacking the well known Corelliant pride, he always felt a certain jelousy for the more glamorous lifestyle of the true core worlds. Coming rom a family of engineers Treskan grew up in a comfortable middle class home that, to him soon felt simple and unfashionably poor. And while he had some talent with engineering, he always lacked the dedication to pick up the more academic traits of the craft. While Treskan was a clever guy, his plans and ambitions always maxed out at some short term goal or dream, with him more often then not ending up with several shemes to gather money, favors or both just to keep dealing with the problems his original plans created to get him a few moments of glory, a better glider, the heart of a girl etc. leaving him without a real place in life. After obtaining a small freighter, his next ambitious plan with the goal to get him to a life of decadence somewhere on, or close to Coruscant. Yeah, that went well... Treskan started to use his skills and contacts to provide hard to come by (and sometimes less than legal) luxuries to high ranking imperials loathing their position in the rim. Soon he was caught in a self created web of favors, debts and cons, but he was gaining money and profile faster than he ever thought possible. Treskans closest friend a that time, a rather atypical Drall named Derisp who preferred a life among the stars to a life of science acted as his second in command (of two...), navigator and economical advior (as in: he took as much money as he could to keep it out of Treskans hands so they could pay for bare necessities, interests and wares) always scolded Treskan for his dealings with the Empire. He kept out of sight for most of the deals (as he knew most Imperials would dislike dealing with an alien). Tragedy came during one of those deals. Short version: Treskan was busy greasing some high profile contacts, forgetting an important business deadline (not a rare occurance by any means. Treskan always enjoyed that 'greasing' part of his business mor than the 'business' part) and Derisp was unable to hire a human middle-man on short notice, so he dared to make the deal himself. The Imperial guards who were told to meet with Treskan to be handed some important personal delivery for the Imperial goernor, so the dealt with the 'larcenous rodent' they found in the freighters cargo room on the spot. With the law unwilling or unable to even acknowledge any fault of the guards and the event even discrediting Treskans reputation, Treskan discovered something new to him – a dedication, powered by rage and grief, that was more important than his dreams of a high life, that even transcended the immediate goal to bring down one Imperial governor – and that led him to burn through his money and through a long line of favors to get in contact with the Alliance to bring down the Empire once and for all (that done, surely his deeds would be enough to put him in the life he always longed for – and if not, surely his services would still be required) Rough draft of the character sheet: Template: Classy Smuggler Male Human (Corellian) Age: 29 Height: 192cm Weight: 197lb Large, average build, pleasent to look at, dark eyes, mid-brown hair, fashionably dressed
Equipment: Blaster pistol (4D), expensive clothes, hold-out blaster (3D), 5,000 credits.
