Monica will be outside it seems
Monica pauses... it can only get better from here, nothing to worry about... running through her head. She stays hidden for now. And does her best to spot anything she could use to move all these troopers away from the base. She has to rescue her family inside.
perception: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 1) = 8

West End Gamesmaster |

Just to check - I'm the only one gathered up right now?
I am waiting on other players to make rolls (Hide, Perception, Knowledge), before I describe the cutscene.
You are most definitely not the only Rebel being gathered up. You glance back to see Nara is a few meters behind you with her own guard escort. Further glances gets you stern prods from Blaster nozzles. You do see Nara only has half as many guards on her as you do.
There are two other squads besides your team, some left to guard the outside and some furhter in the Bunker. You are fairly certain several Stromtrooper Squads and Officers raced passed you towards where General Solo's team was located.

Monica |

Monica is frozen in fear, unable to act, there are WAY TOO MANY stormtroopers. She huddles on the ground...
feel free to tell me if I need a new hide roll
It seems that's all she can do till her usual optimism snaps her out of this fear.

West End Gamesmaster |

Monica is frozen in fear, unable to act, there are WAY TOO MANY stormtroopers. She huddles on the ground...
feel free to tell me if I need a new hide roll
Monica despite her natural well of optimism curls into a ball trembling. How could she lead her friends, her FAMILY, into a trap.
She failed them.
happy thoughts, happy thoughts, happy thoughts
Monica gets to redeem herself and save the team in 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 rounds. Which is less than a minute real time.

West End Gamesmaster |

I gave a day to have the group post, I'll go ahead and make rolls for Jer Korban to keep us going if that's alright.
rolls
Hide 3d6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1, 1, 2) + 2 + 2 = 8
Perception 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 1) + 2 = 9
Knowledge 3d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6, 3, 2) + 1 + 1 = 13
edit, wow some spectacularly bad rolls, my bad

West End Gamesmaster |

Lieutenant Jer Koroban is so intent on trying to save a fallen Rebel commando that he is barely aware as a full squad of eight Stromtroopers and an Imperial officer scoop him up.
The officer does not bother to check for life signs, he just puts another Blaster bolt on the fallen Rebel's chest then signals the soldiers to take the bewildered Jer and a handful of Rebels outside.

Vashh Lorimar |

As the rebels and stormtroopers begin to file from the bunker, Vashh steadies his scope and allows his sights to wander across the scene in search of the commanding officer or, failing that, any of the Rabid Nexus who seems to be lightly guarded enough that his one critical sniper shot would be enough to allow them to escape.
As this thought crosses his mind, he starts to wonder what else might be available for his one shot, that might just break up this party. An AT-ST at just the right angle to expose its control modulator to a shot that might momentarily haywire the weapons? An old tree or heavy overhead branch that could be felled onto the gathering troops with a well-placed shot? That old faithful - explosive fuel drums?

West End Gamesmaster |

Major Derlin and elements of the two other Rebel Squads are already surrounded by three rings of Imperial troops and two AT-STs.
Current disposition of members of Rabid Nexu Squad
---
Jer Koroban, taken by a full squad and is in the front of the Imperial Bunker
"Monica" panic cowering under brush, hidden, about 50 meters to the left form the Bunker. Can not act but Dodge for 4 more rounds from this point.
Treskan Orask in a Biker Scout uniform, fears that he may be detected, directly in front of the circle of Imperials surrounding the gathered Rebels, about 12 meters in front of the main body of soldiers but 3 meters to his left are two Stormtroopers. And directly behind him he can hear the approach of another Scout Walker.
Vashh Lorimar well hidden position, 30 meters to right and 65 meters to the front of the Bunker. You can try to pick a target at this range. Please see range rules.
Manji Roye taken by four Stormtroopers and is in the front of the Imperial Bunker
Nara Vix taken by two Stormtroopers and is in the front of the Imperial Bunker

Vashh Lorimar |

No... it's still not right. One shot, and then it's all done. There's a whole battalion down there now! Even if I take my shot and knock out the commander, I'll have compromised my position and will have to exfiltrate into the forest.
No, I have to wait. Something will present itself, and even if it doesn't, I'll still be able to keep an eye on things, maybe follow the prisoners without being seen.

Vashh Lorimar |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Vashh's eyes flick reflexively away from the scene unfolding before him, up to the pale blue sky peeking through the treetops. The fleet will be up there now, locked in combat with an Empire that seems to be anything but unprepared.
His eyes back to the target. Not paid for heroics. I'm a marksman. If half of the stories those eager little womp rats trade in the barracks are true, General Solo will have a bag of tricks up his sleeve. Let him earn those famous bloodstripes. I'll capitalise on the confusion to free the other Rabid Nexu.
Glancing around, he takes in their positions.
Jer...Manji...Nara. No sign of Monica or Treskan. Or that rusty old droid. Still in there?
Taking a risk, Vashh initiates his commlink, with a silent prayer to the ancestors that the Imperials aren't so well organised that they've already broken the encryption on the channel.
"Monica. Treskan. Clear?"

Jer Koroban |

He heard the crackle of Vashh on the comms and he bit his lip, at least everyone wasnt captured. His anger was cooling at the officers actions but this was bad. They werent really interested in prisoner's more importantly those shields had to be brought down. It had been too easy, they should have known it had been too easy.
Think Jer, think... what can you do ...
His eyes widened and he slowly let his hands creep down to his waist torwards one of his smoke grenades...It would be something of a distraction at least...
sneak?: 3d6 + 2 ⇒ (2, 2, 6) + 2 = 12
wild die: 1d6 ⇒ 6
wild die2: 1d6 ⇒ 5
total of 23, plan would be to get a hold of the grenade, activate it, throw very hard into one of the troopers by Nara, She seems to be in the best position to run
throw?Dex: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 4) = 12

Manji Roye |

So they got half of us Nexi - and everyone else is still on overwatch, I hope. Maybe that Ubese is as good as he says and he can snipe a walker. Hate it when I get caught up in the fireworks. Who could have leaked the timetable so well? I don't see Commander Skywalker
Manji shudders a little there, but mainly with his head, keeping his hands up. He's seen an Imperial interrogation, and what was left afterward. If it looks like it's coming to that, then maybe it's time for the detonite.
I'm no quick-draw, they're not gunning us down yet, so let's wait for them to slack. At least a little. Let the Corellian see if it's worth a dice-throw first. Coruscanti can wait for the trends to change.

Treskan Orask |

Did Skywalker betray us? Or...did the Empire con us? An irresitable target, a playfield hard to overlook but good to prepare, Splitting up targets? That is nearly perfect...I almost wan't to meet the mastermind behind it
How far from the treeline am I?

Monica |

Hearing Vashh on the com snaps her attention out of the pool of fear she is cowering in. Back into the com she cautiously asks "Vashh? I am so sorry. I screwed up, I really did." fear causes her voice to crack then she adds "I am too scared for everyone to think. I love my family, ALL of you... and yet I dropped you straight into a trap... how do I fix this?!"
Mona chimes in on the com "Squaaak, Mistress, perhaps you should have a nice cup of tea to calm your nerves"
Monica replies incredulously "Tea?! I am cowering under a bush I have no tea."
Mona chirps back "That didn't stop you when you were 8, chirp, and being threatened by gangs."
Monica pauses to remember the scene in an alley with Mona and some other cast off stuffed toys and her tea party in the face of danger... she then starts laughing "Got some spare cups Vashh? We could invite the storm troopers to a tea party with no tea."

Treskan Orask |

Another look at the tree line, oh my...this doesn't seem like a good time for improvised infiltration, especially if the rest of the sniper doesn't know which trooper he shouldn't smoke...the old 'oh look, a grenade' trick...just without a real grenade...I am not that fast...still, might use a grenade later in that trick...
When Vashh mentiones his name, Treskan tries to remember which side of the bunker he was supposed to get position and slightly nodds, hoping he catces that.
Just judging from the position of the forest edge: is there a chance Trescan could, if he drops (without them noticing) a heat pod and yells 'grenade', jump for cover and reach the forest before the Stormtroopers at his side stop just reacting and start thinking again? When in cover, he might use a real grenade to get the the whole kaboom started.

Vashh Lorimar |

Vashh is still scanning for the sight of any of his team.
I'm guessing that spotting a near-imperceptible nod of the head from a scout trooper among many, through the scope of a rifle from a range of over 65 metres, and then deciphering that to be a signal from a team-mate in disguise, is going to be one heck of a Perception check...
Perception: 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 4, 4) + 1 = 14
Ah well.

West End Gamesmaster |

DI almost wan't to meet the mastermind behind it
How far from the treeline am I?
Be careful what you wish for.
Treskan is not in the treeline, I would say 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 6, 4) + 1 = 15 meters from the treeline, double that distance to thicker foliage.
He is about 12 meters in front of the main body of soldiers, 3 meters to his left are two Stormtroopers facing the captured Rebels. And directly behind him he Scout Walker now at guard position.

West End Gamesmaster |

Oh man, how I would love to see that!

If half of the stories those eager little womp rats trade in the barracks are true, General Solo will have a bag of tricks up his sleeve. Let him earn those famous bloodstripes. I'll capitalise on the confusion to free the other Rabid Nexu.
Vash and the other members of team Rabid Nexu won't have to wait too long even if each space between heartbeats with the 501st Legion's Blasters trained on the gathered Rebel Strike Team now seems like an eternity.
First from a clearing Imperial forces and Rebel prisoners alike hear a commotion. Commander Skywalker's Droids, what the hell were they doing.
Then as a Corellian Scoundrel's Luck would have it, this happens. (link)
First there is the sound of horns, that covers the entire region.
Next there are yelps, a whoops, and battle cries.
That is quickly followed by a enveloping hail of primitive spears, child sized arrows, and hurled rocks.
Then hundreds, possibly thousands of those miniature warrior furballs storm in from every possible direction.
Treskan pay attention to minute 3:40 in the clip, you will see a Rebel soldier in a Biker Scout uniform. I was very tempted to make you that guy after you rolled a 1 on that Wild die. But one of the writers at West End Games already had a backstory for that character and this is YOUR story so your complication will have to wait just a little ...

Round 1

Jer Koroban, while earlier surrounded by a full squad of Stromtroopers only ONE Stromtrooper remains not dealing with other Rebels or the sudden Ewok attack. You successfully snuck your smoke grenade out this round and will throw it next round. Keep the rolls you have.
"Monica" panic cowering under brush, hidden, about 50 meters to the left form the Bunker. Can not act but Dodge for 2 more rounds from this point. Sorry Monica. You can make some comments in character. You have all your gear listed on your sheet.
Treskan Orask in a Biker Scout uniform, may act. You have all your gear listed on your sheet.

Manji Roye |

Manji starts to shift a little so he can jump towards the Scout Walker's legs as Commander Skywalker's droids make some noise - those big guns were definitely keeping the odds in the Imperial's favor as long as they were focused on himself and Nara.
When the indigs seem to grow out of the ground all around the bunker, suddenly everyone's a lot less interested in Rebel scum. Well, human Rebel scum. Solo's Wookie confederate seems to still have their interest to some degree, though it's a rapidly decreasing crowd
This is an excellent time for a lesson in priorities, Manji pulls his knife as a scout trooper goes flying into another stormtrooper, courtesy of Chewbacca Air, nearby.
We can clear these and then get the picket team on their feet. Also: see if we can send these little guys some fusion reactors or something
Charge! he shouts, but is probably not heard as blasterfire starts to echo, as he lunges at the stormtrooper closer to the AT-ST, wanting to get a gun before that monster wakes up.
Melee Combat 4D: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 2) = 13 Edit: Annnnd actually should be 11 as 3D since draw counts as an action, -1D, sorry.

Heck, I kind of loved that plan, too. Alas, 12m are a bit far for that stunt, so all we can do is drink to chances lost.
Treskan tries to get even more distracting stuff happening. 'Palming one of his heat pods and subtly rolling it between the two troopers at his side.

Vashh Lorimar |

Quickly taking stock of the unfolding mayhem, Vashh observes that each of his teammates seems to be barely guarded. Good. They're Specforces operatives. Let them deal with a single confused stormtrooper apiece.
Taking a bead on an Imperial Officer who is trying to move to a position of cover where he can begin trying to coordinate a defence (as seen running for cover at 4:52 in the clip), Varshh gently presses the firing stud on his rifle.

Nara Vix |

Nara lip curls in contempt as the stormtroopers effiently lead the rebels out of the bunker, knowing that their much vaunted skills completely missed the charge she left behind.
Patiently going where their non-too subtle rifle jabs sent her, she found herself guarded by two troopers, withing sight of Solo and Leia.
Nodding, grateful they hadn't all been executed on sight, Nara looked for an opportunity...to do anything.
She could see a number of her squad out of the corner of her eye, also squiming in thier own skin, desperate to act.
The sudden eruption of furry fury propels Nara into action.
Surging forward she strikes at the nearest stormtrooper, driving her vibro knife up under the back of his helmet...
Melee(vibro knife): 5d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 2, 3, 2, 3) + 2 = 15
Damage: 4d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 1, 5, 6) + 2 = 18
..out of the corner of her eye, she seed Solo flipping a storm trooper into a fellow Imperial, then Leia snapping a shot off that takes out the AT-ST driver. If one of the squad could get into that walker...
Amazed, she sees the fluffy round creatures attack the cream of the Imperial stormtroope corps and lure them into the trees. Many of the unarmored officers lay on the ground, pierced with wooden arrows..
Amazing, Nara was glad to be alive to see it...

Treskan Orask |

As the Ewoks horns of war echo through the forest, Treskan suddenly realizes that keeping to wear that uniform will might get him into more troubles...at least his squad knows he had donned the enemies uniform...those maniac bearlings...not so much
Luckily Leia takes out one of the enemy drivers...now or never, that uniform might beuseful one last time...
Treskan changes heading straight to the now unmanned walker

Treskan I am not sure what the Perception is for, did you mean to do Throw (Dex 3d+1) roll then Con (Perception 6d+2)?
If that is your intent please take 1D off each roll because those are two actions, its a great move though.
I understand the intent I don't understand the roll, as neither your scores are 3d6+2 for that roll.

Lieutenant Colonel Maximilian Hux, Chief of Operations for the Imperial Army at Endor, graduated top of his class from the Imperial Academy of Carida two decades ago. He is among the best of the Empire's new cadre of officers that rose to power after Emperor Palpatine dissolved the Old Republic. Loyal to The New Order, respected by his peers, and with enough political support, he was given this highly sought after combat assignment. After his tour of duty at Endor, Lieutenant Colonel Hux would most likely join The Emperor's personal High Command Staff.
